Secrets Preferred
Viviana Ramirez was a huge help during our entire trip! She helped us get beach chairs everyday, get signed up for activities, and kept us up to date with the best activities. If you come to Secrets La Romana definitely look out for her she was the best!

Relaxing vacation
The preferred beach was really nice. They had great access to the beach and plenty of chairs. Vivana was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for a couples trip. I would say that if you dont speak Spanish the language barrier can be difficult at times, even when it comes to ordering simple drinks. I feel like there are a lot of entitled people here that bend the rules, move/save the chairs, and smoke wherever. The rooms are very nice and what you would expect from a hotel like this. Don't get room 2152 pool room unless you want to smell cigarette smoke while youre trying to relax at your room pool. The location of the room is great, view is amazing, but the smoke kinda killed it for us. We are part of the Playa Collection so we got the upgrade and 30% off. The value was nice. We didn't spend too much time on the Dreams side, just the Secrets. The wait staff was hit or miss. Some days they were fast and attentive, other days, not so much. There isn't too much to do outside of the resort that doesn't cost a $100 taxi ride to and from the resort. You're kinda in no man's land here. I feel the food at the restaurants are nothing to brag home about. As I heard from another guest here, "You won't starve, but you won't be fully satisfied." The preferred lounge is where we found ourselves most evenings for dessert and a nightcap. The bartenders there are amazing and they have "top" shelf liquor. Would we come back? That's up for grabs. There are so many more countries we want to see first and there is nothing really pulling us back. If you just want a relaxing vacation away from it all. This could be it. But I feel like leaving here, I haven't been to the Dominican Republic other to swim in the ocean and play a couple amazing golf courses.
