  Average at best - there are better resorts within a few miles

  Small pool for the size of this property. Yes, I know you have use of Secrets pool but we can’t walk that far on a consistent basis. plus the pool was freezing for January. The food was average, some nights were better than others - the grilled pork chop was excellent. One of the hostesses was a bit of a *itch with a bad attitude. At times the front desk was clueless or lazy or possibly both. Our room was exceptionally large and clean and the cleaning staff were excellent. The bar staff was top notch. This property is South of San Miguel and a decent taxi ride to get here. The property immediately adjacent is undergoing major renovation and you can expect some construction noise. We were part of a large dive group and had excellent rates for the week.

  Where Great Leadership Meets a Perfect Beach!

  A perfect family escape with turquoise water, white sand, and outstanding leadership We stayed at Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa with our four daughters and were specifically looking for that turquoise water, white sand Caribbean experience without worrying about sargasso or seaweed and this resort delivered beautifully!! The beach is absolutely stunning. The water is crystal clear, calm, and that iconic Cozumel blue you hope for when planning a trip like this. Just a couple of sections down the beach, there is a beach club open to the public that has an inflatable water park, which was a huge hit with our teenagers they spent hours there and loved it. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The location is excellent, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the entire resort feels warm and welcoming. You can truly feel the leadership throughout the property. A special shout out to Marco, the General Manager his leadership clearly reflects in the team. The staff is personable, friendly, and genuinely engaged, which makes a noticeable difference in the overall experience. We also want to recognize Gustavo, the Entertainment Manager. The entertainment team was wonderful and added so much energy and fun to our stay. Additionally, Chef Manuel went above and beyond during our visit, treating us to some exceptional dining experiences. His care, creativity, and attention to detail made our meals truly memorable. From the beach to the service to the people, this was a beautiful, enjoyable family experience, and we would absolutely return!!

  Good people make good trips!!!

  Had a great time!!! Good people!! my family loved it. We had a great time at the pool and really loved the bar and bartenders down by the beach!!

  Another Amazing Week at Dreams Cozumel

  just spent a week at Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort, our second stay there in the last 3 years. Much like our first time at Dreams Cozumel, we thoroughly enjoyed our week there. This time, we had an ocean front room (Building 34), and we liked it just as much as the beachfront swimout we had the last time we were there. Check-in was quick and they did honour my request for a corner room. We did not do the Vacation Club presentation this time. We have already done it twice and we did not want to waste 3 hours of our time doing this presentation. This time, though, we did spend a lot of our time at the Secrets pools and restaurants. We liked our room. We had an excellent view of the sunset. Just a heads-up regarding the hot water (in our room at least). It did take quite a while for the water to heat up. However, we just got into the habit of turning the shower on and letting it run for about 10 minutes before we used it. That being said, once it was hot, it was very hot! Our friends who were in Building 33, did not have the same problem, though. They had hot water right away. The service everywhere was excellent. The staff work very hard and try to accommodate all of your requests. We made full use of the Coco Cafe, where they serve hot and cold drinks, ice cream, pastries and sandwiches. We were really happy that they now have one on-site (they did not have a Coco Cafe at the Dreams resort the last time we were there). We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the made-to-order omelette station. We really did not eat much there for lunch. And we only had dinner at the Pizzeria one night. The pizza and chicken parmesan were excellent. My husband liked the lasagna although it was cold. It is a really nice benefit to have full access to all of Secrets restaurants, pools, bars and preferred lounge if you are adults. We ate breakfast at Oceana restaurant a couple of times. It was fine, although I was disappointed that they no longer have Eggs Benedict on the menu. We also ate there for lunch a couple of times and twice for dinner. We want to give a huge shout-out to Miguel who waited on us at this restaurant for lunch and dinner. He went above and beyond and gave us the best service that we had all week! Gracias Miguel! We very much appreciate all that you did for us! We also enjoyed eating at Bordeaux and Gohan. The snacks at the Preferred Lounge were also a nice go-to, if we wanted a little something to nibble on. The entertainment staff, especially Axel and Artemio were great! Thanks for all of the fun that you provided! We enjoyed watching them having so much fun themselves. Although there was ongoing construction at the Sunscape, the noise really didn’t bother us. And we found it interesting to watch the progress that was made during the week that we were there. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks again to all of the Dreams and Secrets staff for making our visit so emjoyable!

  Excellent Experience!

  Spent five nights at Dreams Cape. Room: The rooms at Dreams are nicer than Secrets and they're in the middle of demolishing and rebuilding Sunscape (which I was told will be Dreams when they're done). We had a 'tropical' view which was basically looking at the round about at the entrance of Dreams. I didn't mind, though, b/c I love to people watch and I could sit on the porch of my room and enjoy the weather. The room was clean and fresh and maintained the entire trip by Mirna, who was a warm and inviting woman. A treat was left each day for us as well as the fridge restocked as needed. If you wanted something specific, they provided that. Even with being at the entrance, our room was well insulated from the noise. Could we hear things, yes. Did any noise keep us up or disturb us, no. And it was always quiet by 10 or 11. Beach/Pools: Beautiful beach and clean pools. We had access to Secrets' pools as well and they are larger and don't have kids. So we trekked over there for the pool experience. People grabbed the beach chairs under the umbrellas early but I was there for the sun so it didn't bother me. Food: The buffet was mediocre. There was not much flavor and no spice, which was disappointing. Olio was nice but the Italian restaurant/Pizzeria was phenomenal. I love the portion sizes for all of the restaurants, too. The drinks were phenomenal no matter where I ordered them. Luckily, we had a premier level reservation which allowed us to use the restaurants at Secrets as well. We went to Oceana (seafood as well as burgers and chicken) and the French Restaurant (name escapes me right now). Their food was delicious! Staff: The staff were amazing. Everyone was pleasant, happy, and welcoming. We did our best to speak as much Spanish as we could (which isn't much) but most spoke English (I'm from the US). I left tips even though it's all-inclusive. We were given incredible assistance when I left my cell phone in our transportation from the airport. I had my phone w/in a few hours. Spa: We had manicures on our last day at the spa. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. We had the aromatherapy hand massage with manicure and Paula and Guadalupe were amazing! I wanted to nap with the hand and arm massages. Plus, my hands were so soft afterwards! Your experience is what you make it. We were looking for relaxation and a break from our lives and that is what we found/created.
