Great resort with an amazing staff and restaurants

The staff at Dreams is what makes the difference! The food was some of the best that we have ever had at an all-inclusive. Laure and Ines (UVC), Odalys (manager), Edel (gardner), Victor (pool drinks), Liberato (event staff), Rosa and Jonathan (Mezes Restaurant) -- the staff was amazing. Bordeaux restaurant was wonderful. Our favorite was Blue Water Grill (Filet Mignon)! Mezes was great. Many restaurants open for lunch, so you did not have to always eat at the buffets. World of Hyatt has an app for your phone which gives you all of the resort information, restaurants, events, hours things are open, It was extremely helpful. The one note I give for people who are coming here for the first time is this. This resort is built into the hills rising up from the beach. The layout of the resort can be very confusing the first couple of days as you figure out where the elevators are (which do NOT go to all of the floors), where to cross over, how to get to the beach, how to get to the restaurants. Everyone we met were lost once or twice the first couple of days, so it does take some adjustment. It is worth it! I highly recommend checking out the garden space above the resort next to the amphitheater. Great view and a nice area to explore. I also recommend trying all of the restaurants and not just ordering room service or going to the buffets! The food here really is amazing for both lunch and dinner. But the greatest asset for this resort is the people. They go above and beyond taking care of you. I cannot say thank you enough to Laura for all that she did to make our stay special! My last recommendation is to take an Uber from the airport to the resort and back. It cost us about $30 for the Uber from the Airport. Much cheaper than the shuttles if you don't mind crossing the foot bridge. Salyulita and La Cruz are two nice towns to visit for a day trip from the resort if you want to go off property.

Not Worth the Price at all

Except to pay $200-$300 just to get from airport to hotel. Hotel and staff very nice. Ignore the time share guy at check in. Food is absolute trash each restaurant. We 26 people and everyone hated the food at the dinner restaurants. Breakfast and food by pool was decent. Drinks omg all water and nasty on dreams side. Heard secrets was little better. We even bought bottles by the pool and did not catch one buzz. All water down. We traveled with kids and it's not a good resort for kids. Slippery tile everywhere and dangerous. Pool was heated for kids that was nice but over all I would never recommend this hotel or go to an all inclusive ever again. They made me hate all inclusive for ever now. Beach horrible. Stay more in the city at a nicer resort. Oh entertainment and staff were the only good parts. I did tip over 1k so they all loved me but I feel bad. This hotel needs a lot of work.

We loved this vacation just some set backs

Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa was a mix of highs and lows. The resort boasts a beautiful location, with a short walk over rocks leading to a swimmable beach to the right of the property in front of another resort. However, there were several notable drawbacks to consider. On the positive side, the service at the poolside bars was exceptional Louis was amazing, and the Coco Cafe served the best coffee on the premises, Julian always accommodated us. The morning sun at the furthest west pool corner was a highlight for early risers. Additionally, despite ongoing construction on the east side, noise levels were surprisingly minimal during my stay and did not bug us at all. Yet, there were several areas for improvement. I note, there was periodic sanding of the whale tail near the pool. As well the ‘infinity’ pools were not working/quite low and was told my pool maintenance that they were broken. This is Mexico and we shouldn’t expect ‘home’ in another country. The rooms, while generally clean, fell short of my expectations, and the mattresses left much to be desired—akin to sleeping on plywood. The hotel changed the mattress out and it was even worse. I note we have a dormeo mattress at home. Furthermore, the closure of 1-3 restaurants on a nightly basis was inconvenient, requiring guests to plan meals carefully. Be sure to ask hotel staff upon arrival or check the app what will be closed on what evenings. Aside from the closure of restaurants the food was amazing everything we ate was great. Kids loved the corn dogs from the barefoot grill. Service at every restaurant was top notch Yesnia at the buffet always remembered our drink orders and had it waiting for us every time. Accessibility may also be an issue for some, as rooms farther from the elevator, like mine in 2204, require a bit of a trek. thus we did not mind. Those with mobility concerns should request accommodations closer to the elevator. In addition to mobility, the pool deck/tile is VERY slippery and we witness several people fall and later be in a wheel chair. While bugs and blackbirds were not a concern, bug spray is advisable for those attending evening theater shows. Additionally, the plunge pool in the room was consistently cold and not suitable for bathing as the water doesn’t even circulate,a disappointment for guests seeking relaxation in-room As well as considerably dirty and low. In conclusion, Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa has potential, particularly once construction is completed and restaurant closures are addressed. However, improvements in room cleanliness, mattress quality, and restaurant availability are necessary to fulfill the promise of an all-inclusive experience. If addresses we would like to be invited to return.
