Excellent hotel, great facilities. The apartment is spacious with 2 large smart tvs. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the beach is great, the staff are very kind, the restaurant has a great atmosphere. It’s beyond worth the money. We stayed at a 5* for the remaining days in Barbados and were left wishing we were back at Divi. Would give it 5*s.

Nov 26, 2025Two great weeks at the DIVI SOUTHWINDS Barbados
The staff at DIVI is wonderful, from GM Charles, Shernada at the reception, Jamar and Shaneca at Pure Ocean and the rest of the Team throughout the resort! Very friendly, warm, knowledgeable and accommodating! The grounds are well maintained with monkeys and parrots in the trees and turtles in the ocean. The beach is beautiful with new beach loungers, a pool at the beach with perfect sunsets and happy hour at the bar noon - 1 and 4 - 5 everyday! The rooms themselves are a little old but clean and well maintained. I should mention they only fully clean your room twice a week but change your towels everyday. The pools are sparkling clean, just wish the towel exchange was open past 5pm, maybe until 7 would be nice. There’s pickleball courts, a tennis court, a half court basketball court and nine holes of miniature golf plus a small gym! There are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance and I highly recommend using the local bus service, you’ll get to meet the locals! All in all we had an enjoyable 2 weeks and plan on returning in April!

Do you want to go somewhere where the elevators don't work, or you want your room to smell like marijuana, the pure ocean restaurant is useless, 2 hours to get served, drug deals going on behind the restaurant, the people from England were buying the drugs, so sad this place could be so much more, the Manager is young and learning, I would not recomend unless you like to do drugs. I also made a complaint to the local police see what happens.

Amazing hotel and staff
We stayed at this hotel from Nov 16-21. The hotel is somewhat dated including the rooms, but very clean and well maintained. The whole staff is simply amazing, so friendly and polite. The room was large with a separate sitting area and balcony and had a great view of the pool and little bit of the ocean. We wanted to try something different than an all inclusive in the DR or Jamaica where we usually go and so glad we did! It was so nice to get out and see the area and walk to all the restaurants and shops (all very close walking distance) It was great to get some culture and feel part of the community. The Barbadian people are so respectful and polite. Other than the odd guy that asked us if we wanted a taxi, not one person bothered us in the town or the beach, no wild animals on leashes for money paid pictures!! The Pureocean restaurant on the property was amazing! We had the breakfast buffet one morning and went to their special dinner night on the beach! Now don't expect the same type of resort as a 4.5 or 5 star all inclusive in the Caribbean, its not like that but we really enjoyed the peace and quite on the resort and beach. No music or crazy party stuff! We would go back to this hotel for sure! The beach was beautiful, hardly any seaweed and very warm water. Barbados is pricey for dinners and especially groceries in the markets, but we knew this going in and was prepared for it.

Divi SouthWinds in Christ Church Barbados was not exceptional. It was clean. We felt safe, No one went above and beyond.
