Very friendly staff- huge shoutout to Elton ( Elvis😘) at the chibbi chibbi bar- great drinks and conversation. Front desk staff Calvin and Sara very accommodating and personable. Dive shop staff very nice as well. Resort very clean and well maintained ( pool missing a few tiles but sparkling clean). Food was so so ( glad we didnt opt for all inclusive). SO many wonderful restaurants in town to choose from! Short walk to town! Many good spots to sit at beach or pool/ never a scramble for chairs. Our room , while clean,was in need of an update particularly the shower which definitely needs to be redone. We had a beautiful view on our balcony. We were in room 117. This was our third trip to Bonaire and our first at Divi Flamingo. Would we stay here again next year? Yes especially due to location and friendliness of staff- however Divi is a bit dated so hoping they put some $ into refurbishing some areas. You will enjoy your stay here especially if you're a diver or snorkeler. See ya next year🐠🦎

Poor customer service!! When we arrived they took a deposit of $75.00 x 4 on my credit card and said it would be returned upon our departure. Well it’s been over three weeks, countless emails and we still haven’t received a dime or any responses to our emails. Be aware if you book this resort for holidays not to be expect any customer service or your money back for that matter.

Dec 28, 2025Caribbean Diving Gem
Great little resort with exceptional access to diving and a variety of food options, a fun couple of bars and quiet at night. At first I was a little "concerned" about the casino on premise, but that turned out to not be an issue at all. The entire staff including the dive shop team were helpful and friendly. We also fell in with another family and our young adult kids hung out together and we all shared some meals together, so some nice tourists as well. We also did the all-inclusive which made food and drink easy and especially for the kids who didn't always want to be with us. Anyway, we'll likely be back another year. Oh, and finally, many of the people we met have been coming to this resort for years and years. That says something, too.

Dec 28, 2025Scuba Dive Resort? Or Resort With Some Scuba Diving?
We have stayed at, and been happy with, the diving at Divi Flamingo many times in the past. This time was different. While the divemasters are awesome, the boats are often crowded, and it's not ideal for one divemaster to have to keep track of 14 divers. Previously that large a number of divers would have meant 2 divemasters in the water. The dive sites are deteriorating... due in part to massive cruise ships that now stream into Bonaire's port daily. And while there are still some interesting fish and other marine life, the reefs are essentially brown.. suffering from coral disease. It's a huge difference from the vibrant, healthy, colorful reefs we used to love about Bonaire. Very sad to see the change. The resort is also changing. While the staff is still fabulous (shoutout to the front desk!) Divi Flamingo is now marketing itself as a family vacation spot, rather than a dive vacation spot... so lots of kids running around. That's not necessarily a bad thing.. But Divi Flamingo used to be a great dive resort with a good hotel. Now it's apparently aiming to be a good hotel that happens to have some diving. If you're a serious diver, this may not be an optimal choice for you.

This is a very, very special place where you are enveloped in beauty, calm, and kindness. It’s a resort, even boasts a casino, but if you are so inclined, you can make it a retreat. Paradise for swimming, snorkeling, scuba, birding, reading by the azure sea. We’ll go back every year!
