Nice Resort!
The resort is nice. Need to work on a few things. Our hot water in our building was in and out literally every 15 seconds. Our first room was not clean so they moved us. Very quiet resort. PLEASE PUT AN ATM ON THE PROPERTY. We wanted to leave more tips but was nearly impossible. The staff is WONDERFUL and they need tips! Victor our Bell Boy 🫶🏽 ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! He made sure we got around with ease and he is very professional! He is the reason we will be back!

Really Dissapointed
We cannot in any way recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. There are beautiful, well-maintained grounds with cascading water pools, hot tubs and infinity pools and a very friendly staff that really go out of the way for making your stay a good one. Drinks easy to obtain of good quality and service was generally polite and efficient. The resort is generally very, very quiet even though there was an abundance of families with young and very young children. Good selection of TV channels which was needed as the place pretty much closed up after 8pm. One bar offered music every other night. All others closed early. No other nightly entertainment such as a folkloric show was on offer. No notice boards informing guest of special events or dinners. The rooms were not well prepared. On arrival there were dried toothpaste blobs on the bathroom faucet, toilet flush and sink top. We did manage to clean this off with the one facecloth that we were provided with. By the way we did not get another facecloth until day 5 when we got a new housekeeper. Many towels had large stains including some with brown streaks, totally unacceptable even at a Motel 6!! Our king size bed was short sheeted, and our feet were on the uncovered mattress for the first 5 nights again until the new housekeeper changed the sheets and put things on right. The food was suitable for a 2-star hotel at best. The teppanyaki restaurant was just OK. The food there did not change from night to night. If you are expecting chefs throwing knives and flaming steak, you will be sorely disappointed (think veggies and chicken, shrimp, and beef fried in soya sauce). A taco truck is available in the afternoon and evening. Dried pieces of chicken on a flour tortilla with few condiments just does not cut it. The Huichol buffet is mostly Mexican, again if you are expecting burritos, enchiladas, chillies relleno, these are not on offer. What is on offer is gloopy sauces with cubes of meat that have been sitting on the buffet for hours. The Salt and Tyme buffet purports to be Italian. The salad bar looks fresher here than the at the Huichol buffet. This restaurant alternates between freshly prepared “risotto” one night and “pasta” the other night being made with your choice of chicken or shrimp plus vegetables. Everything, including the rice and pasta is thrown together by a “chef” who has been trained to do this one task. There was no big fresh piece of protein (ie beef, pork, chicken, fish) in evidence during our entire stay. All the chair covers were heavily stained and dirty needing cleaning or better yet replacement. There was more variety on the menu at the beach club, although the food was again sub-par. The beef tacos contained some dried mystery meat purporting to be flank steak, but really looked like dried dog kibble. Everything again was swimming in sauce. This was not what we expected for the food experience at a Delta Marriot, and the management and company should indeed be ashamed of themselves for not providing a quality product to their clientele. Even the staff, who unfortunately must field the complaints, knew that the food is terrible. There are many choices out there for your vacationing dollar – we highly recommend you seriously consider booking elsewhere.

Absolutely amazing! We have booked our third trip for this coming February. Susana at the beach club was an incredible server. The resort is well-maintained, and the food was very good.
