Jan 26, 2026Another great stay at the Colony Club.
We have lost count of how many times we have stayed at the Colony Club ( circa 14) and this visit will not be our last. The room refurbishments were very much needed and we were delighted with the changes. It was lovely to see so many of the staff were still there. Karene, Sandra, Dale, Corey, Matthew - too many to mention. There are some lovely new staff members such as Maradonna, a beach ambassador who smiles all day long. As with every hotel there are some issues that could be improved. One being the frustration that guests go out so early to pick sun loungers and not removing used towels when they leave. There was always enough sun loungers around the resort, however. It’s a great setting with an amazing beach with a laid back vibe and lovely, friendly staff that makes us return, time and time again.

paid a serious amount of money to stay at the colony club, the hotel its self is what you would expect and alot of the staff are really nice and helpful,Especially the breakfast chef, is always makes sure everything is perfect. however this place has a serious sun bed issue (unless your a returning customer!!!) its impossible to get a front line chair on the beach without getting up between 6-7am and even then you could come back from breakfast and someone would of taken your belongings off. Thomas the beach attendant is so rude and clearly trying to keep returning customers happy with getting them beds whenever they want. The main issue and best advice i can give is do not under any circumstances use the taxis from the hotel. Totally over priced anyway but actually tried to double the price while on route!!!! we originally were charged $174 bds for a trip which usually costs $120bds but agreed to pay it with hotel. only to then be told on route that the $174 was now in US!!!! $348 bds on a taxi that cost $120bds getting to the hotel (in a range rover) tried contacting the hotel about all points and no reply at all, Wanted to deal with this direct with hotel but due to no reply have given me no option.

Beautiful but issues
Beautiful resort on a stunning beach. However there are issues. Food is good but Ordered my meal at 6:30 and waited more than an hour despite being only 1 of 2 tables occupied at time of order. Getting your food cooked to order probably not going to happen even if you send it back. Limited options for meals as only one restaurant. Do not expect to get your room category as reserved. Reserved a 2 bed ocean view room. Got a one bed ocean view which was not suitable. After 4-5 hours moved to a 2 bed garden view room at the back of the resort. Room is lovely but not what I reserved. There is no enforcement of no chair reservations. By 7:30 am all chairs on the beach have towels on them but no people. Many do not get people until 12 and some people reserve oceanfront chairs and shade chairs so they have both options. No one does anything about this. Lots of pool towels. Majority of staff are lovely. No one explains inclusions or exclusions and there is no consistency. So a very mixed experience not sure if I would come back.

Our visit was to say the least awful. The location is fantastic but the service and the quality of our drinks was appalling. I’m not even sure my rum sour had any rum in it. The staff were uninterested and the venue lacked any atmosphere whatsoever. I will never return to this establishment. Avoid visiting there are far better hotels nearby.
