  Caribe Deluxe Princess – Beautiful Beach, but Disappointing Overall Experience

  The resort has some positive features. The beach is beautiful, with soft sand, no rocks, and relatively little seaweed, which is regularly cleaned up. The shuttle between the beach and the lobby runs approximately every five minutes, which is very convenient. I also liked the layout of the resort, with the buffet restaurant, swimming pool, and beach all located close to one another rather than spread out across the property. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, mainly because of what appears to be a lack of proper management, maintenance, and attention to guests’ comfort. Food and facilities: * The buffet dining area is far too small for a resort of this size, and the selection of food is very limited. * The washroom and bathroom area in the room is extremely small. It is practically impossible for two people to use the space comfortably at the same time. * The shower is very small, and there is no bathtub in the room. * Only one hand towel was provided for two guests. Room condition and comfort: * Despite the advertised renovation, the room does not appear to have been fully renovated. The air conditioning unit is old and cannot be properly adjusted, making the room uncomfortably cold at night. To make matters worse, there was only one small blanket for two people. Cleanliness and maintenance: * There are far too many mosquitoes, both in the morning and in the evening. We did not see any obvious efforts to control them. * Wet beach towels can only be exchanged for dry ones in the morning, forcing guests to hang their wet towels on their balconies to dry. * The main swimming pool is very large, yet it appears to have only one entrance and exit. This is a poorly thought-out arrangement for a pool of this size. Wi-Fi and drinks: * The Wi-Fi connection is extremely unreliable and needs to be restarted every few hours. In all my recent visits to other resorts, I have never experienced internet service this bad. * The bars mainly offer local alcoholic drinks. Guests are expected to pay extra for many premium options, which is disappointing at an all-inclusive resort. Staff and service: * Unfortunately, many staff members came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. * English communication is also a major problem. In our experience, only a small percentage of staff, perhaps 10–15%, could understand English well enough to communicate effectively. Final thoughts: The beach, convenient shuttle service, and compact layout of the resort are definite advantages. However, these positives do not make up for the many problems with the rooms, food selection, Wi-Fi, towels, mosquito control, and customer service. A resort of this size should be better managed and maintained, especially when guests are paying for an all-inclusive vacation. Management needs to pay much more attention to the condition of the facilities and the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not choose this resort again unless these issues are properly addressed.

  Clean, comfortable rooms, beautiful beach

  We have been to this resort 3 times and love it. It is not fancy, but it is clean, quiet at night, comfortable, and the beach is beautiful. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. You will notice some humidity in the rooms and bedding but that is to be expected in a humid tropical climate. The air conditioning keeps the rooms quite comfortable, but not as cool as some may like. We always tip our wait staff and bartenders and the majority of the staff at the resort are very friendly, helpful, and kind. Oddly, we have consistently found the buffet area wait staff to be unfriendly and not interested in serving guests bar drinks, extra silverware, or napkins. I don’t know why the service is so different there. Room service has minimal options and is pretty slow, but a nice option. The grounds are lovely and kept clean. Birds, ducks, flamingos, lizards, geese, etc. roam free. Coffee shop has great coffee beverages, pastries, and is a nice little stroll through the Mangroves from the rooms. Please tip them! We have been there so many times and almost never see people tip the coffee shop staff. The beach is beautiful! Our only complaint is people reserving chairs for hours while not using them in the regular areas and the VIP area. I wish staff would remove towels left unattended for hours so others can use them. All in all, this is a great resort.

  Terrible experience

  NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A 5 STAR RESORT! Reviews are pretty much from locals making it a 4.6 stars but it’s not even close to that. Worst experience at this hotel, literally on Thursday night it flooded the hotel with locals which that’s not the problem but they come acting like the own the place and ur just a nobody very rude…. But that’s not the end of it…. it was my son’s bday I asked to get some balloons for the room, they said it wouldn’t be a problem (asked a few days prior to the day) the day came and they didn’t put balloons or anything but just to make it worst they couldn’t even clean the room…. Went to complain at receptionist and they don’t really care, he just shakes his head while I’m talking not caring where I was saying. Go to another resort! Don’t come to Caribe deluxe princess, don’t waste ur time and money there is tons of better resorts. This one is falling apart and workers hate their job clearly… u barely get nice people here… Also I found a dead bug on my rice at lunch time from the buffet……..

  Thanks, Kind and Care

  Very good, there are no words to express the attention of everyone in general, but in particular the care recieved from Nayeli, Aris, Yessenia, and Stefany from animation team! They have high-level personal care, which makes them full-handed professionals. They were one of those who made our stay wonderful. We thank them all for the attention and care!

  Mega Hotel

  We just got back from this hotel and are absolutely thrilled. As for the beach, there is a bit of seaweed at this time of year, but the atmosphere and the people there are a whole different story. We wanted to give a special shout-out to the incredibly friendly staff—Julio from reception (a very helpful, lovely guy) and Leonardo; they helped us get to the airport. Then there was Eden, the guy selling the wellness spa packages—he had such wonderful energy. The parties at the hotel were amazing. The chef at the 24-hour bar near reception would make us a special hot dog with fresh toppings—incredible. Usher, the young bartender with the curly hair, was great too. The whole team at the poolside bar—including Salami—was hilarious and fun. Everyone at this hotel is amazing; you simply can't get bored there! We highly recommend it!
