Loved relaxing here!
Just what we needed to relax for the week. - Enjoyed the all inclusiveness (Tried all the morning mimosas ) Because of food prices on the island this the way to go for most of your meals. - Staff was remarkable and friendly. Bartender memorized our bar order by the second day. Waiter found us one last piece of coconut bread pudding when they were "out." - Not one but two kitty mascots (Izzy and George) - Wonderful beach with lovely Adirondacks chairs for napping. - Good food and plenty of it - we could not eat all that was included - Iguanas, geckos, a Chicken! - never figured out if the chicken was a guest or a resident. Some guests were a little noisy at night, but we enjoyed the live music each night, up close or from the balcony. Sandy beach is pretty narrow, gets rocky in a hurry, but that's good for snorkeling.

Outstanding Family Vacation @ Bolongo Bay beach Resort
Our family traveled to Bolongo Bay 1/10/26. If you want to stay at a giant corporate resort this may not be for you. Small, family owned resort. Restaurant, bar and beach are a short, very easy walk from our hotel room. Great views. The family who runs it made us feel welcome. So did the staff. We had a great time and will go back again. Go to St. John for a day. Easy trip. Stunning beaches.

Wonderful time at Bolongo Bay resort.
Very friendly resort with a great Carribean vibe. Beautiful beach steps from the room. The a la carte all inclusive was fantastic, every meal was delicious. Big thank you to all the staff for a very memorable visit.

A wonderful place to decompress and relax
We spent a week there in Jan 2026, with the all-inclusive option. Overall, it was a marvelous vacation. All the staff there were friendly and helpful. The resort has been there since the 1970s and they have tried to keep it updated and still have some work to do (unsurprisingly given most USVI resources are scarce due to hurricane damages from the 2017 twin Cat 5's). There is construction everywhere! Food was excellent, drinks were plentiful, the beach and water were warm and inviting. The "all-inclusive" food/drink option was worth every penny. We stopped at a McD's while out prowling around and paid $18 for 2 burgers, fries and Cokes! We did not partake of any of the water sports/tours they offer but several we spoke with thought highly of them. Our room was fine, but we could hear our neighbors through the locked common door, which was unfortunate when they had a fight at 1:30 in the morning. The chairs are not really comfortable for watching TV for any length of time so we folded up beach towels for some padding. Cellphone and internet reception were fine. We suggest avoiding Charlotte-Amalie when the cruise ships are docked as they add 13,000 - 25,000 visitors per day to all the shops, restaurants, etc. Go into town early (before 9 am) or after 5 pm. Remember, Islanders drive on the left, so you MUST pay attention when driving. Roads are narrow and steep and local drivers seem to be trying out for NASCAR jobs! Gas was about $4.27/gallon on 1/16/26.
