The hotel itself is nice Except my medication’s were stolen and when I try to report it to security and the front desk they were very dismissive no one care to investigate or even act like it was a problem all of a sudden no one knew English I would not recommend this hotel

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. Beautiful gardens. Great music at Bar El Bosque. And we loved the bufete. Rooms were impecable.

Disappointing
Dont stay here. This is not a five star hotel. Tell me how me and my girlfriend are relaxing in the balcony with our robes on and a male staff open our door to come on. We screamed, that was so scary and it was at 7pm. I told the reception about the incident and all they say was "oh ok" They don't care.

We spent one night here before our long trip to our destination. The staff was kind and friendly, providing top-notch customer service. The room was immaculate, and I slept like a baby! I highly recommend Barceló and we will definitely be back!

Barcelo is a jewel of a place in San Jose. This will be my choice of stay when I visit San Jose Costa Rica

- Advisory*Important Note* Costa Rica will impose some restrictions for Holy Week. Alcohol is not permitted to be sold or consumed. This ban on alcohol starts the Thursday prior to Easter and runs through Easter Sunday. A few hotels purchase special permits to serve alcohol, but generally it is not available. In addition, most restaurants, shops, and bars will be closed for the same time period. Restaurants in the hotels will be operating. The City Tour will not be operating.
