Great place.
We loved every part of our stay. Favourite part was that seating around the pool was never full. You could always find a place in the shade or sun, any time of the day. No rushing down to save a chair.

Great tropical vacation
We had very short trip in PV, so decided to spend most of the time relaxing on the beach. Barcelo is a perfect place for such type of vacation. Nature and bay are magnificent, staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very spacious even for ordinary suites. Food was great too, but you need to understand that Mexican food would prefer in the hotel, so you may not find some fancy european/american dishes and that's why sone people are complaining in other reviews. Our stay was great, so I think in a couple years we may visit other Barcelo spots.

This is the 5th time we've stayed at Barcelo Mismaloya, and you can expect the same thing every year: nice location, beautiful weather, and mediocre food.

Friendly staff. Rooms definitely need more maintenance and repairs because they are very old and some things don't work, such as the refrigerator and air conditioning. The mini-bar refrigerator was repaired but still didn't work. This hotel looks nice on the outside but the rooms are stuck in the 80s. The doors squeak a lot, and at night you can wake others up with the noise.
