Might or might not work for you

You may or may not like it here. We enjoyed it more several years ago before it was overrun with kids running around everywhere. At the pools, in the bars, and the restaurants. If you have little kids and you're not big on discipline you'll love it. The facility is very nice and well maintained. The pools are clean and the right temperature. For an all inclusive resort the food is pretty decent. The spa and fitness facility are outstanding. The rooms are fairly nice but unfortunately for us there were kids above us pushing furniture around, dropping stuff and crying. So bottom line if you have small kids and don't mind (or prefer) chaos you'll love it. Otherwise you'd probably be better off staying somewhere else.

Beautiful Resort, but lots left to be desired.

We recently returned form a week at this resort. Overall, it’s a lovely resort with a beautiful beach kept very clean. It’s a bit rocky going into the water though. So we avoided that. The rooms were big and clean. The food was very good as well. Staff were overall very nice and helpful. The weather could have been better, but that’s no one’s fault. However, there were several drawbacks that would keep us from returning. Upon arrival at midnight Saturday which was about 32 hours after our scheduled arrival due to flight cancelation, we were offered no help finding our room in the dark, despite being Premium Level members. The receptionist showed the tiniest map with nothing really marked on it and said “It’s over there.” Thankfully, the nice bell man , Enrique, offered to take us in his golf cart. Nothing was open at midnight, so no food or drinks. Luckily we had a beer or two in the mini fridge in the room. Overall, the resort did not have decent signage as to where things were. No onsite map that was actually usable. The one you could get on your phone by scanning the QR code was the same one. They need to do better there. The room was spacious and clean but the AC was not controllable (too chilly at first) ,the phone did not work nor did the clock. After 3 days and multiple calls to the Premium level club, finally a guy came to fix things. The phone worked. The clock still did not. The worst was that he “fixed” the AC by setting it at 22C. I still could not change the temperature. It got quite hot and humid on day 4 and we needed to adjust the room temp. Not happening. On the second day, I had to call to get the room serviced. Two out of five days, the mini fridge was not replenished. We were very disappointed that we had paid for Premium level service and really got nothing for it. Don’t bother paying extra for that. When I went to the Premium level lounge, one of the receptionists was rude and flippant with me and others. Absolutely no customer service skills. At one point. Alexander had to take over for her because she had raised her voice to me. All I asked for was for her to print out my boarding passes. I have never been this disrespected at a resort ever. The food in the buffet was good, but a bit repetitive. The à la carte restaurants were great though. I want to thank the following for their exceptional service: Feliciano Poot and Victor Camilo at the Brasserie who made our dinner run smoothly Jesus Lopez & Danike at Rodizio who were very attentive and friendly Filiberto at the Mirador buffet who was such fun! He was efficient but also very personable and made us laugh! Margarito in the lobby bar who entertained not only the guests but also his fellow bartenders. They had fun when he was working! So I give it a 4 out of five because of the facilities and the people i mentioned. If not for them, I would have given 3 stars.

Fam of 5 in 1 Room _ Paradise

PROS: Gorgeous Grounds. Rodizio was delicious (Steak, Potato, Salad Bar, Dinner Rolls). Kid pool, adult pool/bar, beach, basketball court, ping pong location is central. Clean, timeless rooms. I absolutely love how a family of 5 only needs 1 room. Our room was spacious with 2 queen beds, and 2 full beds instead of 2 couches. so convenient for us! CON: I paid to be a premium guest and could only make dinner reservations for restaurants 2 out of 4 nights. Well, i guess they had times available aft 9pm. I have 2 children under the age of 6...HAHA we are in bed by 8:30pm. Really, this is my only complaint. I over paid for a service i wasn't guaranteed.

    A weeklong vacation

The hotel is well located. The premium service is very good. Swimming pools are wonderful. Food at the restaurants is only average. Most French dishes at the Brasserie were not really French (for example, Bouillabaisse was nothing like what one gets in decent French restaurants.) The seafood at Caribe was disappointing. The white wine included in "all inclusive" is poor. Landscaping is very good. The airport lounge included in the Premilum class is really overcrowded-- long lines just to get in!!
