Nice and spacious pools which make for perfect picture taking. Pool service is very slow, not enough staff at the pools during our stay. You have to get your own pool towels with the cards provided at check-in ($20 per card if you lose them). No food at the pools only drinks if your lucky to get them delivered. Rooms are nice, beds were comfortable and bathroom was spacious. Balcony view was incredible. Room Sofa was uncomfortable as it was worn down (not enough cushion). Breakfast buffet offered plenty of options and my family enjoyed it. Other restaurants are by reservation only thru the concierge which work limited hours. Felt like I needed to make a reservation to spend our money, so we opted to dine out almost daily at local places. Front desk staff need to be more welcoming, warm and assist guests with any questions. Felt rushed at check-in, FD agent was more rude and felt he didn't want to assist any guests. Check-out was more like, let me make sure you turn in the 4 pool towels and I'll send you a copy of your bill later, bye. Not what we expected from Barcelo. Being seasoned travelers, resort didn't exceed our expectations and hope in the future other brand resorts open in Manzanillo. Based on our experience here, our Cancun trip we will chose another resort brand to book.

Beautiful Lobby, rundown premium rooms, hope you get good luck with the service The mayan style architecture of the lobby is very interesting and is still very well kept as well as the gardens. Great view from the room. The beach is artificial and small, but the pool area has many amenities. The food was the blandest and least fresh of any all inclusive resort I've ever stayed at . There were very few fish and seafood dishes which is amazing given that it is a coastal area. Service hours are quite limited too, you have to rush for the buffet, some specialty restaurants are closed on weekdays , and the menu for the 24 hr room service is very basic so that leaves you with very restricted food choices for an all inclusive. The rooms have definitely seen better days. The shower door was dirty and would not close. Windows were dirty too. ( I ve attached some pics of the room as I received it) Good luck with having any one from the staff coming tp help you carring anything, like your hand luggage up the corridor stairs, or asking for a beverage with less sugar because they will take forever and sometimes seem really bothered by your request. So far for a "premium" experience I can not imagine the regular one.
My kids will never forget it!
This trip for our family was all about finding a place where my husband would be content but our kids would be ecstatic! We definitely found that at the Barcelo Karmina. First, check in was amazing. We had been upgraded to the premium and after the long day of travel to sit down with a drink while being welcomed in was awesome. The room was exceptional. It was clean, amazing views, more than I had hoped for. The food options we accommodating to our vegetarian diet. The pool, the slide, the other activities (like jet ski) were perfect. It was the perfect balance for both us as adults and the kids. I would go back and loved our time here. The waiter who helped us at the pool, Daniel, was so accommodating. So much so that my kids still talk about him and we were there in April! Yelena (or Yesenia) who helped us in the premium area, helped to ensure we went on the tour that was best for us and gave us great guidance to make sure we maximized our time on vacation. Thank you to all the staff and we will definitely stay at the Barcelo hotels again.
Staff and service is top notch! Beautiful resort. Grounds and rooms were always well kept. We did the all inclusive and the drinks and food were great! The only downside was that we felt the music was always a bit loud and sometimes a little too late in the evening.
The rooms were a nice size. My only issue was the room smelled musty. Some things felt like they needed a little repair ie: our door handle was very loose and hard to open. Other wise it was a nice room.
