Our family of 29 members all came for a weekend celebration. This resort did not disappoint. So many food choices and so many things to do without even leaving. Buffet area we had Francisco for multiple days. He was so kind and attentive. My son loved him. Mikita at the pool area was super sweet. She made sure we were taken care of everyday we were there! Overall this place I would recommend in all categories. Especially being so clean. Definitely would be back.

My 3rd visit to AVA in a year.
This is the 3rd time that I have visited this resort. To better understand my experience, I need to confess that I am a Legendary Chairman Platinum member. The reason for this disclosure is that I receive a private transfer to and from the airport, am assigned a butler team, and stay in their best suites. Prior to arrival, I am contacted by the resort to set my places and times for dinner, and also the alcohol desired to be placed in the room prior to arrival. In my opinion, being a Legendary member is a must for this type of a resort. Actually, it is a cost savings if you actually use the vast array of benefits. That said, I was at the opening of the hotel when less than 50% was completed, a couple of months later when "some" of the restaurants were open, and now this latest trip when most all of the restaurants and rooms are open. These Hard Rock family of hotels (Hard Rock, Unico, AVA) have great food and top shelf liquors. The resorts are always clean, have more than enough pools, lounge chairs, and towels at your disposal. If assigned a butler team (I had Rafa and Plutarco who are fantastic at making sure that all wants are met), they will reserve your chairs at the pool, meet you when checking into the restaurant, set up special dinners, arrange spa treatments, and just about any other request. There are plenty of things to do without ever leaving the resort. It is very family friendly with plenty of entertainment and activities to keep the kids occupied. The fitness center is huge and absolutely fantastic with all of the machines or free weights that you can desire. The spa is also huge and you are pampered throughout the experience. We took another couple with us who had never experienced this type of resort. To say that they were blown away is an understatement. I highly recommend AVA

Excellent experience at Copal
Ignacio, Angela and Alejandro gave us an AMAZING experience at Copal. They went above and beyond in their service and the food was wonderful. Definitely a must go.

Great experience, food was better than most of the all inclusive resorts that we have stayed at in the past. The beach is not nice but the man made salt water lagoon makes up for it. Leonardo and Edgar at “the cocktail bar” made some really good drinks and they take pride in serving the guests.

Our Family’s Happy Place – Ava Was Even Better the Second Time Around!!
We just wrapped up our second stay at Ava Resort, and it honestly felt like coming home—but better. Breathtaking views, outdoor showers by the pool with hot water, ice cream and snacks round the clock, turn down service— just to name a few. Amazing food and drinks!! From the moment we arrived, José and Calderio were incredible. They made us feel so welcome and taken care of, and Omar was great too—always with a smile and ready to help. One of the coolest surprises? We were given a free room upgrade just for being returning guests. Totally unexpected and so appreciated—it really set the tone for an amazing trip. We first visited last summer during the soft opening, and we were excited to come back and see the full resort. The new south wing is beautiful, and the entire place feels even more vibrant and polished now. We’ve stayed at Garza Blanca and Royalton Splash before, and while they were nice, Ava stands out. The service here just feels more personal and consistent—from housekeeping to the restaurants to the pool staff. I also have to mention the gym—it’s super well-kept and has everything I needed to get in a good workout (which helped balance out all the eating!). And the kids club and teen club were a huge hit with our crew. They gave the kids something fun to do in between pool time and the aqua park, and gave us a little breathing room, which is always a win. Yes, it’s a big resort, and there’s a fair amount of walking to get around—but honestly, I didn’t mind. I probably needed those extra steps thanks to the buffet, and it was worth it to explore all the different areas. Bottom line: Ava has become a favorite for our family. The mix of comfort, fun, and just really good people makes it a place we’d happily come back to again and again.
