Jan 19, 2026Beyond Expectations: Truly Exceptional!
I would like to start my review off by saying anyone who reviews this resort with less than 5 stars did not know how to vacation. They went on vacation looking for a reason to complain, in my opinion. Start to finish, this resort was remarkable! My husband and I have been to Cancun 5 times previously, to other resorts. The food at the other resorts was meh. AVA, however, was fantastic. We ate at several of the restaurants, including the buffet. All were amazing. The room was clean and cleaned daily along with a turn down, if you wanted it. Our first day there, we could not get the safe to work, within 20 minutes maintenance was there fixing the safe for us. Every room faces the ocean with a gorgeous view. The North tower pool is a bit busier than the South tower pool. We NEVER had a problem finding a lounge chair or getting served by the pool. The beach is cleaned daily. Every morning at around 7 a.m., maintenance is on the beach cleaning the seaweed. The beach was incredibly clean. I highly recommend this resort if you are traveling to Cancun.

Group Trip to Ava
First time to Ava. Had a great time with friends, 5 couples. Resort is large and well maintained. Our Butlers were Ariel and Manuel. Very attentive while on resort, saw a lot of them and they took care of us. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We booked golf, massages and meals through the email options. Took a little follow up on our part before we arrived but well worth it. The complex was 50% full but changing dinner plans for a group of 10 was a challenge. Liked all the food except Bao Resteraunt. Members for a long time and at this resort that improved the trip in our mind.

Huge resort, food is better than average when comparing to All inclusive resorts - nothing amazing tho. If you care about beach, this is not it, yellow shiny water. Alcohol they serve is also very sus.. we drank maybe like 20 shots enough to black out and everyone was fine.. drank different things on different days and no one even got tipsy..

5 star resort
My husband and I traveled to AVA Cancun January 9-16. I would say capacity was at 60%. Check in was smooth and efficient. We stayed in the south tower. Our room was beautiful. Beds and pillow very comfortable. We met our butlers AB and Daniel who made all of our dinner reservations and set up an excursion and golf and spa reservations. They reserved pool chairs and cabanas everyday for us. I cannot say enough great things about AB. He’s one of the best butlers we have ever had and we have been members for a long time. Either AB or Daniel would find us daily just to check on us. They would send us the daily activity schedule and remind us about dinner reservations. One afternoon they set up a special private lunch for us. The lunch and service was phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about AB. He made our vacation perfect. We went to the sales meeting. There was no hard pressure. Options were given and discussed. We worked with Krystal who was great. The food was better than other all inclusive we have been to. Several dinners were absolutely amazing, steak houses and the French restaurants were our favorites. The digit band had a lot of games each night and the nfl games were all broadcasted here. A small cantina we found hidden had great cocktails which we had before dinner. Plenty of sweets throughout like ice cream and cookies etc plus a coffee shop. We usually used the adult pool or the members pool. The adult pool is heated and the south end of the member pool seemed to be warmer than the north end. Pool service was excellent. I would be served a drink before my glass was empty. Pool food was also very good. Room service was prompt and good also. The gym was very nice with plenty of machines and cardio equipment. There could have been more free weights and benches available. But overall a great gym. I walked the beach every morning. It’s 0.5 miles from end to end and I would do 2 miles early each morning. They remove the seaweed every morning and there are nets up th prevent more from coming ashore. The water is not the clear blue color you see other places. No fault of the resort it’s just location. I really do not have anything negative to say about this resort. We will definitely be staying here again.
