Plutarco and Yaz absolutely made our trip. They spoiled our group of 12 rotten. They went above and beyond in tasks by care of us from reservations to surprises multiple times a week. They made us feel at home and part of the family. We are sad we cannot take them home with us and show them the same hospitality they have shown us! We will be back and looking for our two favorites!

Second time at AVA and Isreal made this trip for us
This was our second visit to AVA and we loved our stay. I wanted to recognize our concierge Isreal that throughout our stay we received exceptional customer service from Israel, who went above and beyond to help us with all of our needs. Israel was attentive, kind, and truly made us feel welcome. Thank you so much Israel for making our stay amazing.

Ava Resort
We had a great time at Ava Resort. It is a beautiful property with excellent food and service. Our butlers Plutarco and Yazmin took excellent care of us by arranging our dinner reservations and handling change requests with aplomb. They saved our desired pool chairs daily adjacent to new friends we met and overall made our vacation time smooth and enjoyable. They decorated our room for a birthday surprise which was appreciated. The restaurants were very nice with our favorite being Chez Moi but also excellent service and food at Veranda, Bao and both steakhouses. The Copal tacos are fantastic! The pool side food is good as well, try the shrimp burrito and guacamole. Bayside cafe service was a little slow but the food was tasty. At the pool, Oscar and Alejandro did a great job keeping us hydrated with whatever we needed. The Resort is really long with a definite vibe difference between different areas. From the Aquatico family pool with many Ava entertainment team led activities to the quieter mid section along the Bay to the Dez adults only pool at the south end you can experience whatever type of vacation you want. It would be nice if there was a pool volleyball net at the lagoon pool next to the LVC pool. Inside the hotel is beautiful with a resort length hallway with shops, bars, coffee and ice cream shops, arcades, an escape room, bowling and many other things to entertain. There are shows in Actos theater most nights with an excellent mentalist magician one night. He was amazing. The other nights included the usual lip synching acts and the Mexican dance show . They were ok but not anything special. One night was a Ms. Ava contest which was horrible. We left as did many others. It seemed cobbled together without much thought in place of the promoted LED show. They should have just cancelled the night. Overall, the Resort is beautiful with very nice employees providing great service. I am sure it will even get better as it matures.

Ava was great!
We had a great time at Ava! The food and staff are amazing! Especially Plucky, Yasmin, Sebastian and Giovanni! We’ll be back!
