  My husband and I had another amazing vacation at Zoetry. The room was beautiful and food was great, better than when we were there in April 2026. Charley and Monica are amazing, they went above and beyond for us. Edwin was our bartender and made excellent drinks and was always so nice. We got room service for breakfast every day and sometimes dinner. Santiago was great, made sure order was correct and hot. They made our vacation amazing! The beach was beautiful and the resort is paradise on earth.

  Not Worth the Stay

  Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and fell far below our expectations. There was a serious mosquito infestation, making it uncomfortable and difficult to relax, especially in the evenings. The infrastructure is old, outdated, and in need of major renovation and better maintenance. The food options were very poor, with limited variety and little to look forward to at mealtimes. The hotel is also inconveniently located, being quite far from both the airport and the town, making transportation a hassle. To make matters worse, the beach was still in an awful condition, covered with seaweed that made it unattractive and unpleasant to enjoy. It was incredibly disappointing to see such poor beach conditions, especially when a beautiful beach is often one of the main reasons people choose this type of destination. Overall, this hotel needs significant improvements, the experience was nowhere near what we expected, and we would not recommend this hotel to others based on our stay.

  Great experience

  This place is paradise. Everyone was super kind. I appreciate Gilbert and Benjamin at the entertainment. They were super helpful and kind and showed us around the property as well as took pictures of us and were super helpful. All the other staff at the restaurants are very friendly and kind. I can’t say enough good about this place and the people. The food was great as well. The only thing to watch out for is to travel in October. There are way too many mosquitoes at that time.

  Honestly. Best ever.

  1st solo trip and perfection. This trip to Zoetry, Punta Cana was everything I needed and wanted it to be and MORE. The pictures really do it justice. It’s that good. The restaurants are great; especially the staff: Amaya!Natali,nicol,Tatiana,soranyi,Livianny,telón,majaury—BEST ever. Made me feel so welcomed and loved every night. Laura, the best concierge. Edwin, my pool bartender—-he’s a rockstar, with the kindest heart. He’s your guy. Wandy at the front desk—-lifesaver for American dollar ATM. Had the BEST massage of my entire life. Take my word—If you want real, deep tissue massage—here’s the place. Being from southern Louisiana, I was worried about the food. No worry needed, food was fantastic. If you want a peaceful paradise with a a little fun and flare—here’s your place Trust me!

  Rats, Roaches, and Mosquitoes: My Nightmare at Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana.

  ⭐ ONE STAR — ZOËTRY AGUA PUNTA CANA “Luxury Prices, Shocking Conditions: Rats, Cockroaches, Mosquitoes and Unacceptable Management!” One of the most disappointing and disturbing resort experiences I have ever had. Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana markets itself as a luxurious five-star resort, but my experience was anything but luxurious. Instead of enjoying a peaceful, relaxing vacation, I spent my stay dealing with serious cleanliness issues, poor maintenance, disappointing dining, and frustrating management responses. Here is what I experienced: 1. A RAT RUNNING INSIDE MY ROOM! Yes, an actual rat inside my hotel room! Absolutely shocking and unacceptable, especially at a resort charging premium luxury prices. I was relocated to another room, only to encounter a different set of problems. 2. HUGE COCKROACHES AND FILTHY HOUSEKEEPING! In my replacement room, I discovered an enormous dead cockroach next to the bathroom sink, despite housekeeping services. Dead insects, including moths, were repeatedly left behind. I have photographic evidence. How can a supposedly five-star resort fail at something as basic as cleaning guest rooms? 3. ROOM INFESTED WITH MOSQUITOES! Not one or two mosquitoes — an overwhelming number INSIDE my room! I suffered numerous itchy bites while sleeping. Even after specifically requesting fumigation through my butler, the problem persisted. I could not sleep peacefully or relax without worrying about being bitten again. 4. POORLY MAINTAINED BEACH! Significant amounts of seaweed were left on the beach. While seaweed is natural, proper beach maintenance should be a priority at a luxury beachfront resort. The beach was relatively small, and there appeared to be sufficient staff to address the problem. 5. DISAPPOINTING FOOD — LIMITED CHOICES AND TINY PORTIONS! No buffet, extremely limited à la carte selections, repetitive breakfast and lunch menus, and dinner menus that never changed during my stay. Even with three restaurants, the variety was disappointing. Portions were so small that I frequently left meals hungry. Definitely not a destination for food lovers! 6. GENERAL MANAGER UNAVAILABLE! After experiencing these unacceptable conditions, I specifically requested a meeting with the General Manager. My request was not accommodated, and I was directed to another staff member instead. I expected considerably more attention from senior management. 7. PRESSURE TO SIGN AN UNCLEAR COMPENSATION AGREEMENT! Management offered compensation equivalent to one night’s stay but never specified the actual dollar amount or payment method. Staff insisted that I sign a document, yet refused to let me take it for independent review. I was told I could only read it in their presence. When I requested time to examine the terms, consider them, and seek advice before signing, they refused. I declined to sign an agreement whose financial terms had not been clearly explained. THE BOTTOM LINE Luxury prices do not make a luxury resort. Guests pay premium rates for cleanliness, comfort, safety, attentive service, and peace of mind — not for rats, cockroaches, mosquito bites, inadequate housekeeping, and frustrating interactions with management. The worst part was that I could never truly relax. Instead of enjoying my vacation, I was constantly worried about what I might discover in my room next. Basic cleanliness is not a luxury amenity. It is the bare minimum any hotel should provide. My vacation was ruined, and the experience fell far below the five-star standards advertised by this property. Would I return? Absolutely not. Would I recommend Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana? Absolutely not. My advice: Think very carefully before spending your hard-earned money here. Luxury should be experienced — not merely advertised.
