Poor Apple Transfers

Our itinerary clearly states round trip transfers to-and-from the hotel, yet we had to spend our own money to get to the hotel. Apple Vacations was no where to be found to try to assist or rectify the situation.

I love this place!this was the second time for us. the staff is always so pleasant and helpful. The staff made us feel so welcomed and valued! everyone so courteous! food is excellent...lobster at lunch buffet was bountiful and yummy! frequently there was also filet mignon too.....the only suggestion I have would be to have more American current music poolside.

The resort that me and my daughters stayed at was recommended by my travel agent. At first I was nervous because I'm the type of person that I have to see for myself if I will enjoy where I stay. Well let me tell you, the resort exceeded my expectations!!! The resort was beautiful!!! There was plenty to of entertainment for myself and my kids. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing!!

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites...not bad but nothing special

The resort was OK. But it didn't deserve the Apple rating it currently has. My 2 main issues were the indifference of staff/poor service and maintenance of pool area. A lesser issue was that all the linens in the restaurant were stained and the couch in our room was so aged and stained that I wouldn't sit on it. Food was fine (what you'd expect for an all inclusive). Activities did not compare to other all inclusive resorts I've been to.

Hotel and beach (which is important on Jamaica) are very nice. Food is wonderful - a big variety of fish, meat and fruits in a buffet. Dinner restaurants are excellent. Room was very clean and spacious. Service is very caring, friendly and responsive. Gym is amazing - the best we ever saw. Spa is very good as well.

Had an incredible stay at the suites. The entertainment team here was on point! We got engaged on our second night and the staff worked so hard to make this such a memorable experience for us. The energy here was so positive and care free. We will especially miss our man Bama Blue!💛💚🖤

My wife and I visited Iberostar Rose Hall suites with our 11 year old son and 7 other family members to celebrate my mother's 50th birthday. Let me start by saying this is truly a 5 star all inclusive resort! The facility was very clean and well maintained. There was a nice variety of food at the Buffet hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The daily entertainment by the pool and nightly entertainment at the theatre were awesome! Between kayaking, snorkeling, ping pong, shooting pool in one of the lounges and beach volleyball, there was something to do everyday! The staff was very friendly and always there when you needed them. Kiki, Tiney, Peaches, Carlos, Susy, Bama-Blue and Cumoy were awesome! They made us feel like family during our week stay! Great people! Can't wait for our next trip back!!

Beautiful Resort with Great Amenities & Family Friendly

We stayed for a week with our family, including our 15 month old son, and grandparents. The resort is beautiful and spacious without feeling too large. The food, customer service and overall facility were great! The pools and beach are cleaned up every day and all common areas appear to be well cared for. A simple tip here and there went a long way to receiving continued stellar customer service. A couple things we didn't like: people offering drugs on the beach are constant. They are respectful enough but you still have to tell 6-8 people a day that you're not interested in what they're selling. The resort (at least our rooms) lost power almost daily so we had to figure out how to reset the clocks and got used to losing the AC occasionally - though the room never heated up before it was back on. Just something to be aware of. Also, everybody in our party got sick at least once on the trip and symptoms appeared to be food related. Maybe it was a stomach bug but it struck us as odd. While the restaurants are delicious they're not consistent. Maybe that's the norm in foreign countries but it stood out to us that the same dish could be so difference from day to day. Finally, the coffee shop doesn't carry everything on their menu. We had to make numerous requests for Soy milk, even though it's carried in the buffet, there was no almond milk to be had, nor caramel syrup or whipped cream toppings. These might seem nitpicky but these are pretty basic items for a coffee shop and they weren't supplied the entire 7 days we were there. Overall this is a 5 star all-inclusive resort. We had a great time and would go back in an instant! The spa, restaurants, bars, workout facilities, bathrooms, hallways, all were top notch!

Hayes Honeymoon in Jamaica: Ya, Mon!
nikih719, Colorado Springs, Colorado

❤️🌴❤️🌴❤️🌴❤️🌴❤️🌴❤️🌴❤️ When I set out to book our Honeymoon through our amazing Travel Agent, CELIA MULLINS (based out of Colorado Springs, CO), I had two desires only: An amazing view and the ability to fully unwind without having to worry about ANYTHING once we arrived. I’m here to tell you that the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Hotel delivered 10-fold! Upon our arrival to Jamaica, we invested in Club MoBay. This is a fantastic investment for worry-free travel into and out of Jamaica (pricing is about $40 pp, per arrival/departure). An agent met us upon disembarking the plane with a personalized sign, then quickly ushered us through customs and on to the refreshment lounge where we had access to washrooms as well as complimentary food and beverages (that means you get your Red Stripe/Rum Punch within 20 minutes of landing... which, to us, made the money well worth it! The shuttle parking lot at the Jamaican airport was a whole experience in itself (READ: You will immediately be offered marijuana, amount other drugs. Don’t be scared, it’s part of the culture in Jamaica. When you politely decline you will most likely be given a fist bump and left alone.) There is a Margaritaville outside as well... the party begins at the airport for sure! From the airport, we utilized a shuttle through Jamaican Tours Limited(JTL) to get us to the resort. Our JTL shuttle allowed us to bring our drinks along (there were even cup holders). We made a few stops along the way, but did not feel inconvenienced. The driver was great at throwing out little tid bits of Jamaican info, history, and the like. From the moment that we arrived at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Hotel, it felt like home. As we were checking in with PIERRE at the front desk, every employee behind the desk and around the beautifully ornate welcome atrium was friendly and excited to wish us a Happy Honeymoon. We were each brought a colorful, tropical cocktail before Pierre got us booked in what we definitely thought must have been one of the best suites overlooking the ocean. There are four floors in the hotel, and we stayed on the third floor (The room we booked was listed as an Ocean Front Junior Suite). There is a door to separate the room’s two full size closets, mini bar and sizable bathroom from the rest of the suite. This will come in handy to keep the main suite dry and cool, especially at night. SPEAKING OF KEEPING THE ROOM COOL: Be sure to keep your sliding glass door closed, no matter how tempting it may be to just let that island breeze blow through the room. If you neglect to turn off the air conditioning and leave the door open, the moist, tropical air will leave you with a VERY slippery tile floor and everything in your room will just feel... sorta wet (this is the Caribbean after all!). The bathroom hosts a sizable shower with a rain-like shower head. The water pressure and heat are very comfortable for both me (super hot water!) and my husband (he likes it a bit cooler). There is a full size spa-like hot tub.... but with the warm ocean just a matter of feet away, I can tell you that we used it solely to attempt to dry our wet clothes. Duel sinks and a large vanity round out the washroom. There is a fully stocked coffee and hot tea station in the mini bar, & the mini bar is stocked daily with the following: Two flavors of Pringles take-and-go chips (cheddar and original), Assorted bar nuts (my husband referred to them as “giant corn nuts”), peanuts, two bottles of Jamaican Coca Cola original flavor, one bottle of Jamaican Coca Cola Light (diet), two bottles of club soda, at least one bottle of tonic water, a small assortment of tropical juice/soda options, and, of course, two Red Stripes and two Red Stripe Lights. One morning I threw a couple dollars into the fridge and came back to find a couple extra beers... so it’s worth a shot if you are into that sorta thing (we were big fans of hanging on the deck, people watching, and enjoying a Red Stripe at Sunset!). The Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Hotel is an all inclusive resort with a buffet available for every meal, plus a great assortment of full service restaurants about the property that you can book dinner reservations at with your concierge upon your arrival. Room service is a limited menu, but there is a little something for everyone and it is available 24 hours. There is also a 24 hour coffee shop in the lobby with assorted pastries/ sandwiches/ teas/ & coffees. During lunch, there is a great buffet right on the beach (at night this restaurant becomes a full service steakhouse). We noticed some *seasoned* vacationers grabbing plates and bringing them to the beach, but food delivery is not available on the beach. It’s worth a walk to the restaurant for the shade and amazing views. All of the restaurants that we booked dinner reservations for were fantastic. Portions were not huge (a welcome change from the portions back in The US), and since it was all inclusive, we were welcomed to order additional food if we so desired. I will have to say that our favorite restaurant was the Japanese restaurant on the Rose Hall Beach property. The chef was entertaining and the food was delicious! It was very much like a Benihana experience, but included in our all-inclusive.... a very fun date night or night out with the family! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality at both the main buffet and the lunch buffet on the beach. The beach buffet is a bit smaller, but you will still have a large, fresh and fully stocked salad bar and dessert station (ice cream and pastries at every meal?! My childhood dreams were realized!). The highlight for me at both buffets was the constant supply of freshly grilled (and also chilled) seafood! If seafood isn’t your fancy, both buffets also have a chef cooking up small cuts of meat throughout meal times (beef, chicken, burgers, lamb chops, etc), as well as a designated area with simple pasta dishes, pizza (the main buffet has a brick oven for the pizza to bake in! Yum!), chicken tenders, and other stuff that your kids and picky cousin won’t hate. The main buffet also has a pasta station for lunch and dinner where experienced chefs will cook up whatever you may be in the mood for (I would suggest tossing the chef a few bucks for their time— keep your karma in check and show some respect for the craft). The breakfast buffet was one of our favorite parts of every day. On our very first day, SIMONE was amazing at welcoming us! She helped us to understand how to eat some of the unfamiliar fruits to us and opened our eyes to the joy of chewing on fresh sugar cane! She also works at the lunch buffet, so we got to see her a lot and she was always so warm and kind to us. In the evenings, we had a great time hanging at the Lobby Bar with Hassan & Doreen (EVERYONE is great there, but these two were working most of the nights we stopped by). There is piano and violin entertainment in the bar occasionally and they serve until 1am (the Discotheque is open until 3:30am if that’s not late enough for you party animals!). During the day, there is a small assortment of pastries on the bar as well. Don’t forget to take in the view from one of multiple decks that overlook the property just off of the bar and lobby... we didn’t discover the grand balcony and it’s cozy couches until day 5! The entertainment department (Star friends!) are always killin it! We had lunch with Jay (from The Grand) one day and it was so great to talk over a meal. The other guys and gals were so great at getting the guests involved in activities like Beach volleyball, beach horseshoes, beach soccer, and of course KRAZY GAMES. There was ALWAYS something to do if you got bored by the pool or beach! The cocktail service on the beach was fabulous. The girls were around every few minutes and always very personable and friendly. One factor you may not be prepared for when heading to the beach might be the local salesmen who you will find with their small kayaks and boats just at the water’s edge. They are not allowed to leave the shoreline, and if you politely decline their offers they won’t give you trouble. They sell small souvenirs.... and they aren’t shy about their marijuana sales as well. Marijuana is not LEGAL in Jamaica, only decriminalized. Getting caught in the wrong place at the wrong time could result in a small fine, but it’s engrained in the culture and easily accessible, so if you want to indulge in the ganja while you are staying on the island, you can make it happen for sure! Non-motorized water sports (ran by the great team at Dressel Divers) are included in your stay at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Hotel, and we had such a blast kayaking and snorkeling (you can rent snorkels for free or buy your own snorkel for just $5 and use rented goggles). There are also small boats for those who have experience (and lessons for those who don’t for an additional charge—- you can also go out with an experienced driver/captain for a few). We would advise planning your water sports for earlier in the day, as the water tends to be MUCH calmer before lunch. Now is my time to give DRESSEL DIVERS a giant shout out, because the two excursions we took with them were DEFINITELY highlights of our trip. We can’t thank Brayden & Molly enough for taking the time on the beach to let us know what excursions they had available.... otherwise we may have missed them altogether! Dressel Divers offer several excursions, all of which you access via boat from their own deck at the edge of the property. Most of the off-site excursions cost around $65 per person, and, for what you get, we felt the price was well worth it. We knew we wanted to try parasailing before we even arrived, and it did not disappoint. The captain was skilled and the crew made us feel very comfortable and safe the whole time. ODIE, the Photographer, captured some great, once in a lifetime shots! Our favorite night of our trip was the night we chose to take the Sunset Catamaran Cruise with Dressel Divers: Bianca and a tall, majestic lad who swam like a mermaid (I feel awful that I can’t remember his name, they both were just so great!) greeted us with a Rum Punch and got us and a group of about 20 fitted for snorkel equipment in a very timely manner, then we all loaded up on the boat around 3pm. The cruise takes you to a wonderful reef about half a mile or so out in the ocean, where the experienced dive team joins you for about an hour as those who want to explore do so (they even offer floatation vests, which we all unabashedly accepted). After we all enjoyed the reef (so many beautiful tropical fish and even a large stingray were in the area), we got back on the boat and headed out a little bit further to a sand bar for a sunset worth writing about: the captain turned up the music, everyone grabbed a drink, and we got to watch the sunset while standing in only 3 feet of water in the middle of the ocean: it was unbelievable! Do yourself a favor and experience the Sunset Catamaran Cruise! When the time came to leave, it was so easy with the check out process at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Hotel. There is access to large, clean showers just off from the lobby in case you check out much earlier than your flight, and they don’t take your resort all inclusive wristband until your shuttle arrives, which leaves plenty of time for a last minute meal or cocktail. Our bellhop Orlando was a great help who made us feel relaxed and taken care of. Our experience was everything we hoped for in Jamaica, and with Club MoBay again for our departure, we had a nice meal and a few cocktails without additional fees while waiting for a few hours in the airport— a welcome ease into our day of traveling.
