Our vacation was great! With the exception of my husband getting hurt the second day we were there, Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is at the top of our all time favorite all inclusive resort! The resort was clean, the staff was excellent, and the food was the best we've had. The buffet was great, but the Speciality restaurants were even better. The Italian was our favorite, then Mediterranean, Gourmet, then the Steak house. The entertainment was fun and involved everyone. Cleo (OMG!) is the best director! She's funny, so personable and made it all so fun!! The wait staff work so hard and are so efficient it just amazed us. This was one of our better picks for a Resort! We love to try new places but would return here in a heartbeat!!

I was upgraded to the Iberostar Grand. The resort is awesome. My favorite people was Moises Del Villarreal (the hardest working man at resort). I also was very impressed with Sue Tanya the server working the floor in lobby bar. She was great. The standouts at the pool and entertainment was Vanessa and Thunder. Clive and the other bartenders were good also. The lady who took care of our room as the best. We were in room 632?

I do think there are opportunities with the Apple rep at hotel. The accuracy of excursions need improvement. My 12 year old was with and I was told what I chose was fine for him (cools running). However, there were females there with things and their entire butts hanging out. Additionally the bus driver allowed music to be played word profanity. It was not family oriented as I was told.

We stayed for a week, was the first time in Jamaica and could not have asked for a better resort. The grounds were perfect, the view spectacular, staff was extremely friendly and on top of things. Food for an all inclusive was great, best all inclusive we have done. Cannot wait to go back with our kids next time.

My daughter's wedding
ORVILLE J.
Aug 19 2016
There were several thing that we have issue with. My daughter was told she would get all her wedding photos on a CD with the addition of 24 prints. When it was all said and done they withheld most of her photos with the exception of the 24 photos printed. There was an issue with the tent for the reception which she was told by her agent was included and turned out it was not. They had to come up with almost $2000. For a tent, which they wanted cash for. Really disappointed with those two situations.

Family trip that left me with mix feelings about this place.

We booked directly thru Iberostar website for 5 nights superior sea view jr suite. We also decided we would go ahead and purchase the star prestige package. Was excited to see what this hotel had to offer after reading all the reviews and watching online youtube videos of people stay. Me and my wife and kid went with another family who didn't book thru the website but thru expedia. So I was hoping nothing would go wrong with them not booking thru the actually website. Boy I should have been more focus on myself lol. When we first got there hotel is beautiful inside and out and was greeted with a drink which I thought was nice. When I gave the front desk my name they found my information and started checking us in and giving us all the details about the hotel. While he was talking I'm thinking to myself why haven't he mentioned the star prestige that I purchased, and also where is star lounge staff that suppose to check us in. He had already gave me my room number and told me it wasn't ready yet and that we could go try the buffet while we wait. I told him we purchased the star package and they had to look into my reservation again. As soon as they saw their mistake we were escorted to the lounge. which was very nice and the staff there assisted us thru the rest of the check in. Now I should have said something about the room he gave us, cause it made me wonder what else they didn't see. which was my fault for not speaking up but honestly should I have to do everything when it was in my reservation. The star prestige staff was very friendly and really was the reason this trip was decent in my eyes. So after we got our door key. we open our room door and everything was just like I saw online very nice!! I open the sliding door on the 3rd floor and wondering why my superior sea view is blocked by palm trees. I mean if you look over them you can see the sea somewhat lol. This is where I should have said something but my kid was hungry and wanted to swim. So I told my wife the view isn't to bad and we lost money on a room I'm sure isn't superior view. But I won't complain on here to much because I'm sure I could have got another room maybe. Okay so the buffet area the food was okay nothing special you want to brag about to your friends when you get home. When we first went to the buffet we were first coming in thru the door (great timing I guess). I grab a plate and almost got ran over by one of the employees who was getting lunch. I'm thinking to myself wow we all eat at the same time with the employees. So expect to share the buffet with the workers. The specialty restaurants was pretty good but I wish they would have different menu for the kids. They have 4 different specialty restaurants but have the same menu for kids. The pool was great my kid loved it and was never over crowded when we was there. My wife was at the pool with us and never was ask if she liked a drink. I mean she was there for awhile and just watch as the lady would pass her row and ask others if they like a drink. It kinda upset me with us being star prestige members and got over looked so many times. Only felt like we got good service was when we was only in the star prestige lounge. Those special bands don't mean anything to the employee who don't work in the lounge. Don't get me wrong there were a few people who work there who was very nice. I wasn't looking for anyone to jump at my every request but I'm thinking this is a resort. Can you come to work with a positive mindset knowing these people are here on vacation. Also one thing I notice when I was in the star lounge. one of the workers who look like he had change clothes and was heading home. came into the star lounge and ask the bartender to give him a shot of rum before he head out. I'm standing there playing pool like what?? This isn't professional at all. This hotel is a okay resort if you can turn your ahead and look the other way on certain things they do here it isn't bad. For me I don't think Iberostar is a resort that gives you the quality your looking for but that's just me. so much I want to write about this place but I hate being negative. I attached a view from our room if this is superior sea view junior suite then I should have just got a junior suite.

We had an AMAZING time here. TREATMENT- The treatment was superb. We are club members and by far worth it to be one. The prestige lounge held top of the line liquor and all of them available to us. At the prestige beach front were we met Shawn, Levene and Lola we were treated with respect. They were easy to talk to and very pleasant. Shawn in particular gave my daughter and I attention that was unexpected but incredible and we were beyond pleases 👣. Shawn deserves accolades for a spectacular job. He went the extra mile to insure we had clean towels each and every time. Levene kicked it up a knotch by mixing up a perfect pineapple ginger blended cocktail 🍹 that was to die for. We shared lunchtime with Chocolate and Angel from the entertainment team and these ladies were just as nice in action as well as off. (Angel I hope your tooth is feeling better and we know who is the boss). FOOD- Incredible! Just one suggestion. We had a reservation at Calbash one night and the service there was extremely slow. It was not the servers fault because it seemed she was working alone and she was hustling. She just needed more help which came later but even the meals seems to be coming late out of the kitchen. I mean, if men are required to wear long pants at this restaurant you would think the service would be a bit quicker. Nonetheless the food was spectacular as it is on all the restaurants. ENTERTAINMENT- All the shows were amazing. The beach party night was our favorite. Both my daughter and husband won prizes there. Peaches 🍑, one of the star friends, is a blast.

Family trip in June.. resort was overall average.. can use some improvements

We stayed four nights in June for a family trip (our son is 12). Our first impression of this resort was average... we have certainly stayed at much nicer all inclusives in other areas (first time to Jamaica). It think the resort could be really great with some minor changes... First off, some positives: Room: our room was GREAT! No complaints at all here. We stayed in an oceanview room (3304) and we had a perfect view (see attached pictures)!Housekeeping was WONDERFUL and kept our room spotless our entire trip! The turn down service was a very nice touch. I actually thought the beds were SUPER comfortable! Unfortunately we never saw our housekeeper so we cannot name who it was, but we were very very happy with our room. Entertainment staff: We loved the entertainment staff! Shout out to Momo, who went out of his way to include our son in all of the activities. We were grateful for the activities that kept our son and ourselves entertained! We enjoyed ping pong, beach volleyball and the afternoon pool shows the most. The pirate beach party was a lot of fun for nightly entertainment. The Michael Jackson show was AMAZING! We didn’t expect it to be so great and we were really impressed! It is a must see show if you go when they play it. And now for some negatives and some areas that need improvement.... Food and food service: Average to say the least. The breakfast buffet was really really good with a lot of options. Honestly, the breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen compared to other resorts.Jermaine makes delicious smoothies with an array of fruits and veggies! I looked forward to my morning smoothie every morning. The steakhouse was hands down the best restaurant there. The tenderloin steak was PERFECT and the outdoor seating made for a very romantic and relaxing ambience. Service at this restaurant was good. Also, we enjoyed the oriental restaurant. We all love sushi and our server was very personable and went out of her way to accommodate my son and make him feel special (I think her name was Shereen??). Also, the beach bbq lunch was fantastic! Really tasty jerk chicken and rice and beans. The above mentioned restaurants were the only ones we liked, unfortunately, we cannot say the same about the gourmet restaurant (what a joke) and the Italian. The gourmet restaurant was hands down the WORST! Most of all because of the service that was pretty much non existent! Service goes a long long way and can make or break an experience. That is where I think this resort can improve the most. A little introduction, a friendly smile, a pull out of a chair can go a long way. Our server showed up to our table about 30 minutes after we sat down, no introduction, no smile, nothing. She took our order and left. It took nearly an hour to get our first appetizers. When the server came to take our empty plates, she didn’t say a word... no “how was your meal?” Or “I apologize for the wait with the food”. An hour and 15 minutes after our arrival to the restaurant we still had not received our dinner nor did we receive any type of explanation or apology as to why it was taking to long. Other tables around us were aggravated as well. We were really looking forward to seeing the Michael Jackson show that night and due to our frustration with the lack of service and long wait, we walked out and went to buffet next door for dinner. After getting dressed up for our “gourmet” dining experience, it was not at all what we expected. The Italian restaurant was also pretty bad food wise. The lasagna tasted nothing like lasagna and was basically just ground beef (no tomatoes sauce flavor) and dried out pasta. The beef Malagnase was equally as dry and flavorless. Also, they brought out our son’s dinner plate at least ten minutes before ours, which I thought was weird. He was completely done eating when we received our dinner.... for the above mentioned reasons I would not recommend the Italian restaurant and certainly not the gourmet. One recommendation for resort: improve the service of the staff and it will greatly improve the guests’ dining experience. Pool: We are pool people. We love pools and spend most of our time there while on vacation. The infinity pool was really beautiful overlooking the beach. We were happy to always find seats at the pool. We did notice some structural areas needing repair which gave the appearance of the property not being kept up aesthetically (ex: broken tiles and tiles missing). Our biggest and foremost complaint with the pool was the pool bar. The music that they were playing for three days straight was not appropriate for a family resort. They were blasting hard core rap which included profanity. Not only did this music not appeal to the general population but I also found it quite offensive and certainly took away from the “family vaca vibe”. I believe resorts like this should consider the music they are playing and what type of atmosphere it produces. In addition to the music being completely inappropriate, we also found it uncomfortable for the people who were openly smoking pot in the pool just two feet away from my 12 year old son. I know it’s Jamaica and all, but considering this is a family resort, perhaps that is something that can be done in an area away from kids so the kids don’t get a contact high? Just sayin.... also, the pool bar service was very very slow... Beach:The property had a nice, sandy beach with beach volleyball, beach soccer and plenty of covered lawn chairs. The water was calm and pretty. There are rocks though so I recommend water shoes. Excursions: While we did not do any excursions through the resort, we heard the luminous lagoon was a nice one. We used chukka tours since we had a tour credit with them. The catamaran, snorkel, Dunn’s river falls and lunch at margaritaville Excursion was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend for a comprehensive tour. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at iberostar, but some minor improvements with service can make it even better. Also, more appropriate music at pool and better food quality would also make it much better.

My gf and I are pretty heavy travelers, and have seen much of the world. But we have not had an experience that comes close to our most recent one at the Iberostar rose hall Suites. To begin with the layout of the resort was perfect, nothing was too far to walk to. Always clean, and if we needed anything it was taken care of swiftly. BUT WHY I AM WRITTING THIS REVIEW IS BECAUSE OF THE STAFF!!! I can not express how great the Staff was!!!! They were warm friendly, easy to communicate with, made sure we had the best time ever!!! and they lived up to the promises. I would like to name the staff that stood out to us Christopher the bartender at the lobby bar was outstanding The pool bar crew was absolutely amazing : Cedric TJ Jules Natoya I don't think there are enough stars to give these individuals Please give all of them a well deserved raise!!!

We will start with the positives: HOTEL - Beautiful grounds, infinity pools, beach, sand, lobby area and restaurants! Hotel is about 20 minutes from airport. No mosquito bites, bugs or other critters. Not much around except for other hotels. Nothing to do within walking distance. FOOD - Delicious! We ate at the buffet which had great choices to include Jamaican dishes, smoothie bar, pasta station, omelets for breakfast and so much more. The Mediterranean, Italian and Calash Restaurants were awesome! Drinks were great and not watered down. Also if you get a chance, visit Scotchies about 20 minutes away for some of the best Jerk in Jamaica. ROOM - Nice and large! Quiet and clean. I will talk about the bed below...which was bad. Rooms are well built and insulated. We were not disturbed by the loud entertainment outside. We had an oceanview room which was a little disappointing as the only way we could see the ocean was to walk out of our room onto the balcony and look to the left. SECURITY - We felt totally safe in Jamaica. Even when we went out. The crime problems seems to be well under control. PEOPLE - Amazing and so friendly! We fell in love with Vanya, Jermaine (Chef), Rubria, Sonia, Camille, Cristina and Randy. All were outstanding and provided the best service we have ever had! BEACH - Very nice swimmable water, walkable beach. We did not have trouble finding loungers near the beach. If someone left their towels and were gone too long, we just moved them and never had a problem. Vendors are on the beach but don't hound you. SPA - Nice. The only free service is use of the pools. Everything else there is a charge. ENTERTAINMENT - We did not go to shows but enjoyed the Piano Bar musician. Also sat in on one of the kids karaoke shows which was cute. TAXI'S - Can be a bit pricey. About $40.00 minimum r/t to go anywhere. If you need souvenirs, call Raymond One Love Tours and Taxi and have him take you to Wow Gift shop at Whitter Village about 20 minutes away. Stuff is cheaper there than on the hip strip or anyplace else and Raymond will negotiate prices for the taxi. Ask for Romaine! NOW FOR THE BAD! Not much bad at all but the beds were super hard and had no give. The pillows were flat and very uncomfortable. We woke up in pain every single morning. Iberostar, please get new beds. This hotel is so nice but not sure I could visit again with the beds being of such poor quality. Next, the hotel is going green so no straws. This makes it very difficult to drink a fru fru drink especially if it has whipped cream on it. Take some straws with you if you think you will need them. ROOM SERVICE - Service was slow and food tasted old. Definitely not the same quality as in the restaurants. All in all, this is a very nice place and we want to go back to see the great people we listed above!!! They all deserve a big pat on the back and made our stay very enjoyable!!!
