He built Altos de Chavon in the late 1970s to emulate a 15th century southern Italy-southern Spain village. Visitors today discover craft workshops, artists’ studios, galleries and restaurants. First time here. It was the best. The people in the hospitality couldn’t be nicer or better. Everything is so clean and everybody has so much pride in working at this beautiful resort. Accommodations are excellent and there are plenty of food options and pools and activities. We can’t wait to go back. We’d like to personally give shout outs to Angelica in premier and joan, Yamaha’s, Alexll, Jose, manuel, euyi and everyone in all the restaurants especially Causa who made our anniversary so special.

Amazing overall resort, but better quality staff needed
All inclusive well worth it, alot of amenities, alot of places to explore. Don't expect too much from the employees, some are friendly and efficient, while many aren to at all. Many just don't care at all or have an idea on what's going on.
