Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort Spa & Casino is definitely the best of the best in Punta Cana. From Freddy Rodriguez the Concierge who made sure every single one of our wants and needs were taken care of, to Pedro P. the food manager at Sakura and several other restaurants for his professionalism, to Josefina Santana the waitress at La Hispaniola restaurant who always had a greeting and a smile on her face, to Julio the waiter for our anniversary lobster dinner at El Pescador who made our celebration one to remember, to Jessica our maid whose renditions of art with flowers made our honeymoon suite look beautiful every single day, thanks to all the other staff, servers, bartenders and maintenance workers who made our stay one that we will cherish forever. Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort Spa & Casino outdoes itself every step of the way, from the nine restaurants everyone as good as the other with a different flavor and excellent service, to the twelve bars that offered service 24-7 it was also great that you couln't go anywhere in the hotel and not find an Expresso machine this was great for coffee lovers like myself. The beach was beautiful, the pools were great, the free coconut water service provided by the maintenance staff was terrific since they do the tree climbing for you. The massage and outdoor Jacuzzi at the spa were dreamy and the nightly entertainment shows were espectacular. If we could give them 10 stars we would, we will definitely be back and will HIGHLY recommend to all our friends and family. Thanks for a great stay!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never Again!

Check in went ok. Resort is large so they had to golf cart us to the room (423). Room seemed newer, front desk assured us it was one of their better rooms. We did not upgrade to platinum but were with a group of 35 and many of then did. My daughter got married while there. We were very close to the rest of the group and honestly the upgraded room was pretty much the same as ours. The group tipped the server well at the platinum beach so they allowed the entire group in there. Again no different then the regular beach except the loungers were nicer. Beach was beautiful. Punta does have amazing beaches. My son in law tried to upgrade to platinum prior to travelling and was told he could not due to being sold out. Charged $300 couple to book it. However upon arrival at the hotel they offered him the upgrade which he took but they charged him $700 per couple! About 10 people out of our group got sick while there (throwing up mostly..claimed they felt like someone was stabbing them in the stomach. Pool: God awful. Was cloudy and buggy all week. Felt like a hot tub, water was far too warm. Was not even comfortable to be in. Plenty of chairs even if you don't come down until 10AM. YOu get 2 towel cards when you check in. Not allowed more that 1 towel per person. Half the time they were out of towels. Better have your towel card when you check out or you will be charged. Rooms: Half way thru the trip the air conditioning went out resort wide. Was out for 2 days even in the platinum club rooms. Son in laws fan didn't even work. Several rooms had no working phone. When we called the front desk to complain all we got was they were working on it and they hung up on several of us. Was difficult to find anyone who spoke English. My daughter was in the platinum room and on the night of her wedding came back to the room at 3am to find a pipe had broken and they had 2 inches of water on their entire floor (which was running down the walls and into the room below, belonging to another one of our party). After and hour of fighting with the hotel staff they moved them to another room at 4am. The room below had to fight the next day with the front desk to be moved. By this time the water was running off the upper balcony of the room above! They didn't want to move them. If you are not platinum you get 2 beers in your mini fridge per day, if you want more you are charged. When my husband asked for more the guy told him he could have 100 free beers if he walked down to the pool! Room service is VERY expensive if you are not platinum. One of the platinum guests tried to order one night, they told them they would call them back to get their order.....no return call ever. Our room (423) never got colder then 25 degrees no matter what we set the thermostat at. We also had water from the air conditioner dripping out of the light in the ceiling above our Jacuzzi tub for entire 6 days we were there. They tried to fix it once, it stopped dripping for about 2 hours but started again. Only got 2 towels in the room each day even though we requested more. Towels were worn and thin. Watch out for the shower floor...VERY slippery. Almost killed ourselves. Food: Average at best. By far the best meal we had was the steak house. Buffet was ok. Same stuff all week. Beach grill was hot dogs, burger, or philly cheese steak. That's it. Overall: The air conditioning on the resort is only available in the room or the gift shop and I believe the Japanese rest. All the other restaurants and have NO air. One of the metal chairs in the lobby fell apart while my father was sitting in it. The shuttle was hit or miss. We waited 30 min many times for it. My MAJOR issue was that on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the hotel is literally over run with local guests. If the hotel wants to cater to locals the apple website should say that. The hotel pool and restaurants was so over run with people those 3 days it was impossible to enjoy the resort. These hotels need to decide if they want to cater to tourists or locals. I would NEVER has booked at this hotel if I knew the locals were going to invade the resort on the weekend. Some of our guests attended the Apple dinner and talked with the resort manager and he basically said "stuff happens" and I hope you come back and give us another chance. I would NEVER go back to this hotel. If you have booked this hotel change it as fast as you can.

There are many pros and cons to this hotel. The rooms are dated and needing remodeled. The buffets are very limited in food selections. The food is poor at both buffets. The dinner El Gaucho, and the Italian were the best. The Seafood one had very poor (tasteless food) The staff was not always friendly. The woman at the front desk wasn't friendly at all. It was a real chore for her to fix my all inclusive band. She didn't smile at all. I wish I could remember her name. We would love to bring along our family next trip, but will not be returning to this resort. The main pool was very busy. The towel card was a joke. The resort was out of towels, more than they had towels to pass out. The rooms were clean, but needing updated. If the buffets had better food and more of a variety of it, and the staff were much friendlier- it would be an OK resort. The housekeepers/maintenance didn't know much English at all. It was very hard to talk to them, even after I requested to speak or send an English speaking maintenance to our room.

Not bad but not great

There wasn't much to do on the resort. The hotel is pretty average. They didn't serve Dominican food at all. The only night life around is the theatre and the casino which isn't on the resort. Didn't feel much of a difference being platinum other than the lounge which was great. Everyone that works there are really nice. Very happy to help and serve. We tipped a lot while we were there, pretty much for everything. We did one excursion which we booked through apple vacations. We got to see the locals and how they really live. They had non motor sports but we could not locate them. It would have been nice if they had a billiards hall and bowling. I enjoyed my stay because I got to relax but it could have been better.

Honest opinion

The hotel was clean, spacious, the staff courteous multilingual in front of me I had a great time with the animation staff, Justin Bieber, Sexy Luis, Marleny, Alexstar to name a few were full of energy and excitement they were the ones who knew what events where going on tonight I had the best time of my life, I found a second home, I will be returning to Bávaro Princess Punta Cana and the food was delicious I would have like to see a Spanish section that served dominan food all the time that was my only complaint my room was hot and the service it twice and moved us with no problem I love this resort
