The ONLY downside to our vacation was that people smoked everywhere!! No designated smoking areas, and smokers were NOT considerate about when and where they smoked. Hotel suites were very comfortable and roomy. We were very pleased with our accommodations: a non-smoking room, quite and near the beach suite. The past hurricane season had taken it toll on the area but the resort staff really tried to make us as comfortable as possible. Trolley transport was in abundance to take us around the resort and to dinner buffets.

We had a great time at the Bavaro Princess! It was our first all inclusive vacation and we thought everything was great! We would definitely go back to this resort! All the workers were very helpful and friendly. The beach was beautiful!

Families with children should steer clear. The pool featured a DJ blasting the most explicitly vulgar music that one can imagine. Storm damage made traveling on the "bus" a most unpleasant experience as one must lift their legs as they ride through the foul smelling flooded areas of the pathways. After a very overrated dinner at the Licey restaurant, my wife and I stood outside for twenty minutes before someone saw fit to tell us that the bus did not run in the rain. We had to walk to the lobby area in the pouring rain. When we reached the detour route that the bus using, a nearly empty bus ignored my wife's plea to stop. Out of the 13 people in our group, 10 were struck ill and two were hospitalized. It wasn't a great trip.

We have been to the Bavaro Princess for the past 3 years and always have excellent service. My husband is handicap they always accomidate our room when we get there. We have taken family members with us and always recommend Apple Vacations to our friends because of how well our trips have gone. We missed our flight this past trip and I called at 7 am and Angela was able to help me figure out what I had to do and us another flight. Hated that we lost a day of Punta Cana but your agency was right there for me. Thank you

Review has nothing to do with any hurricanes, rain or wind damage. Paid for upgrade To Platinum. I believe that is a joke. Spoke to other guest who described their rooms and showed them pics of ours and theirs was much nicer. I think platinum meant OLD. Walked into room and it smelled of glue or something, found out was fresh epoxy on shower/floor. Bathroom was nasty with dirty chalking, chipped tiles and rain shower hanging loose from wall. Bedroom and main area floors and walls were always damp and we were always slipping on floor. Bed and pillows had odor. My Moms room phone never worked and her sheets and pillows smelled worse than ours. No room service, no drink wait staff at pool had to go to swim up bar for drinks. All food was greasy and tasted like stale spoiled olive oil. And the most horrific smell of my life (worse than a sewage plant) swamp area that we had to drive through on shuttle to lobby/main buffet/theater!!

We have recommended this resort to several of our friends and family. The staff is bery professional and courteous. You dont have to want for anything at this resort. Staff practically bends over backwards to please you.

The hotel grounds, hotel room, and facilities were wonderful. Although there were numerous specialty restaurants there were no reservations in the wait was it at least one hour to get a table. The worst part of the trip is that four out of six of us developed significant travelers diarrhea. The beach was beautiful except for the significant amount of seaweed in the water and on the beach. Wine Room was infested with mosquitoes The staff was nice and overall it was a good vacation

While an all inclusive means everything, be expected to feel obligated to tip everyone or be asked to tip them. The staff, the peddlers on the beach, the locals selling their , everyone wants tipped. It got to the point of being annoying.

As I stated on my last year review, My wife and I were coming back to Paradise “Bavaro Princess Hotel” year after year because there is no place like Home… Bavaro Princess Hotel, Paradise. So instead of 7 days we booked our stay at Paradise this year for 10 days from October 18 – 27 to celebrate our 18th year Anniversary. We went Platinum, of course, and I contacted Awilda Perez as soon as I got my reservation completed in early July. She was so excited to hear that we were coming back soon. This time I had no idea how to surprise my wife, so Awi said don’t worry we’ll think of something, and she really did. The room was so beautiful decorated that my wife and I were in tears.. The location and view of the room was so perfect that we hope to have the same room every year going forward. Awi thank you so much for being so especial and professional in what you do. Your honesty and dedication are truly gifts that make people always wanting to go back to you. Ingrid Morales you are such a great Guest Service Manager no wonder why you have the best Guest Service Team in DR. We also would like to say thank you to Roberto in Room Service. Every morning he delivered a fruit plate that my wife loved so much, even when he was out on his days off, he made sure those fruits were delivered. Roberto eres uno de los míos, you’re truly one of mine. Francis, no words to express how happy we are specially my wife for getting her the Limon Tartar she loved on our first trip. Thank you so much for all your efforts in making possible she had it every day. And to Alfredo Mejia, el Pastelero for this Delicious dessert. El “Viejo” Luis, always so dedicated and taking time of his busy scheduled to greet the customers. We always had so much fun talking to you and sharing with us your experiences. Amarilis at the Hispaniola Restaurant, we are so happy to connect with you again, we remembered on our first trip you were the first one to meet there when we arrive but then you went on vacation. It was so great having you there again. Our favorite table was always so nice decorated. Estella you are one of the best. Thank you so much for all your attentions and dedication, we are so happy to have you again. Always with that captivating smile we love so much. Miguel, Jose and Alberto you guys are so great also making sure we were well taking care. Nereida, thank you for getting that Squash Crème we had a the Romantic Dinner the previous date. That was amazing what you did. Cepin, It was so great having you at our Romantic Dinner 18 year celebration on 10/25/17. It was a perfect night. Sarita at the Platinum Lounge, your Mimosas are the best, thank you for all your attention and dedication. Luz, it was so nice to meet you on this trip you are unique. My family and I just got back from this resort and we had a good time, this was our 4 visit to this hotel in the last 10 years. A couple items which were not so good were the constant bombardment by the sales people at the pool trying to get you to go on excursions and the heavy minivan traffic on the foot paths due to the flooding from storms that they received. However one of the best perks was the free kids club on site! The ladies that ran the club; Chavely, Anains, Diana and Alexandra were amazing with our kids ( A 9 year old boy and 4 year old girl). Every day our children were asking to go back and play with their friends at the club and they even were able to perform in a recital of a play one night.

So disappointed...

I was sold this resort as a 5 stars resort. NOT SO, It's the first time ever that I was in a resort where it states on toilet seat not to put your used toilet paper in the bowl or else it clogs, well even if you don't, the toilet clogs up anyway, When you bring this up to the front desk, they just short of laugh at you in your face and tell you it is like that all over Dominican Republic, Not so, We have been to DR. 6 times already and I can assure you that I never had that problem before. They also spent 2 full days renovating a room above mine and all I could hear was hammers being banged and drilling in concrete. I was shocked to realise how run down this resort is and that they have the guts to keep their 5 Stars in the main entrance to the resort. It might have been a 5 stars years ago but not anymore. I can't believe that Sunwing Vacations would sell this resort as a 5 stars, their own representative walked away from us when I voiced my discontent with the whole thing. I will contact Sunwing to make them aware of this situation and see what they think.

Great resort with plenty things to do. The most amazing was the entertaining team (animators) and especially YANFLIN who spends all the day in the hotel with his big smile and the endless sense of humour to make your trip amazing and the beautifull Maleria dance and take your breath away!!!!!. Arismenti brings to you the best coctails in PUNTA CANA and all the staff are there to make you feel better than your home. A future trip destination for sure.

First before writing my review, I'd like to personally criticize the manager(J. De La Vieja) who ignorantly responded to the Paris B. review on this webpage. As a manager, you should know that all your guests are different and will have different experiences and expectations. There are guests that don't complain and love everything. There are guests that complain about everything. And all those in between the two. I have been to Punta Cana several times and an initial bad experience or two can set the tone for your vacation. If this is your first time in PC, you may expect things to be a certain way. As a manager, it is not your job to criticize the guests for complaining. Even if that guest IS a royal pain. And I know some guests are a pain and complain about everything. However, it is your job to try to calm them, resolve their issues and make them feel good about their stay. That is the right thing to do. My vacation experience: Overall I had a good time. This resort is a great value and I plan to return in the future. I felt like the staff was friendlier than most of the other resorts I have been to. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. I even saw the sprinklers on which I haven't seen in a while at the other resorts I've been to. The food was WAY better than expected. Not sure why there were bad reviews about the food. I am only discussing the Hispaniola buffet because I didn't go to the restaurants. They did a good job with food temperature and the overall effort at providing good tasting variety was well above average. Now that doesn't mean all dishes were great tasting, but I felt good about going to dinner all the way up until my departure. Also, when the guys replaced the dishes they didn't top off the new food with the old food. I liked that. The service at the buffet was decent. My favorite waiters were Josefina, Maxima, Juan and Jilson. Regarding alcoholic drinks, I only had three different drinks and two of those I only had once. All three were good, but I stuck with the Coco Loco. The bad/not so great stuff, and good for future visitors to know stuff: Room: Spacious, but didn't care for the layout. Functionally, everything worked fine. I think the bed in the elevated area is cute, but could be a danger (stairs) in the middle of the night if you need to go to bathroom. Also didn't like size/location of TV. Plaster damage on ceiling. Shower was UGLY. The floor was done with a cheap liner that had been reworked with caulk 10 times too many. I wasn't a fan of the patios being directly across from other patios (too close). That's just me though. Probably wouldn't bother most people. lol Housekeeping service overall was pretty good. I tipped daily Reception: I too, like Paris B had a hard time getting things from the front desk. One evening, I asked for washcloths 3 times and never got them. He (whoever answered the phone) kept acting like they were coming, but they never arrived. Another evening at bedtime, I called for an extra blanket (I was catching a cold). This time I got a name. Danilo. After 40 minutes, no blanket. Called again. Asked for manager. Guy (Freddie) asks me, why do you need manager for a blanket? I'm mad now. CAUSE I CALLED 40 MINUTES AGO AND HAVEN'T GOTTEN ONE! Five minutes later the blanket comes. I really think the Danilo guy was the problem. He wasn't too friendly when I checked out either. No idea why. Beach: Super Duper pretty. No seaweed in the water. Nice and wide, gently sloping sandy bottom. No rocks. Plenty of waves at this time of year. Definitely exceptional. My only complaint would be the sitting area. They need to have someone come around and collect the plates, and cups every couple of hours and at the end of the day or early morning. Also the sand in the entire sitting area needs to be raked weekly for small trash, straws, napkins. Resort Facilities: When the walkway renovations are done, the resort will be a morning runner's dream. I kept getting cutoff and had to go in a different direction. Elipticals needed replacing at gym. Roofs on almost all the room buildings were dirty including the lobby roof which looks terribly old. There is a big noisy generator or 'something' on the right side of the resort (left if you are going towards lobby). If you are planning on staying at BP, I would stay away from buildings in that area (19-22) if you are sensitive to loud humming noises. Guests: Very International. A good number of toddlers and smokers.
