We have been to other all inclusive resorts and this is by far our favorite. We have wonderful service from the second we got there. Idanny was friendly and efficient at reception. Jean from the Royal Holiday concierge helped us plan day trips and gave us a tour of the facilities. The beaches were clean and beautiful. The maintenance team works diligently and hands out fresh coconuts they cut every day to anyone that wants one. Gerald was a great help in planning trips to Santo Domingo. Johny, a waiter in the Hispaniola restaurant and Luis at El Gaucho made sure we had anything we needed. Niorca, at the hotel lobby came by often to make sure we had cold drinks while we watched the shows and waited for transportation. She has a lovely smile that made us feel right at home. The best part of the trip was the entertainment and animation group. There were activities organized at the beach, pool, and theater that kept us busy and happy. We were so happy with this team that we decided to come back to the hotel two days after leaving for Santo Domingo. A big hug to Ariel and Gucci from the animation group that taught us how to dance and that lead the Zumba and aerobics by the pool. Also, a big thanks to Cappuccino and Akon.
I highly recommend staying here and hope to return in the near future!

This was such a Beautiful place to stay. The staff was extremely nice, friendly and very, very helpful. Although, the majority of the staff that we encountered spoke no or very little English, that didn't pose a problem. The guy that checked us in Juan was the Best!!!! The reason I rated this as a 4 and not a 5 was because of the buffets. We found the food at all of them to be just basic. But overall this place ROCKS!
saw why some reviews were negative and good

First time for this resort but not Punta Cana. First impressions on checking in were not so good, we arrived around 2pm, 3 hours to get our rooms was really not acceptable especially traveling with a 11 month old.
Rooms were nice, kept clean, but the bed was torture on our body's, now I know a bed firmness or softness is different for everyone but these beds are just wore out IMO, but they did put a blanket on top of the mattress which helped a wee bit.
Our AC and fridge weren't working properly but they fixed that immediately.
Bottled water was offered everywhere and no shortage of it.
Food was good, found that the lobby buffet was never hot but beach buffet was, service for the buffet was hit and miss, it was excellent at the beach buffet but not so great for lunch at the lobby one.
If you expect bar service at the beach or pools don't we seen it twice in our week and they came out once but you had to flag them down, not a big deal for us but just encase that's what you want.
Lobby and buffets need some air they are very humid and hot, maybe turning on all the ceiling fans would greatly help with this. Only 2 restaurants with AC.
They need some music in the lobby for the evenings that is lively as opposed to none (2 nights there was a piano player for a bit).
Animation team while we were there never tried to get people to do activities which is unusual compared to other resorts we have stayed at, again not a big deal for us but just noticed it.
This resort needs rules and they should be followed up on, especially on the weekends, while we there the weekend was just a free for all, some guests had no respect for others and we know the resort can't control this but service went downhill immediately on the weekend.
I see no reason why the quiet pool (NOT) cannot be made into a adult pool.
It was nice that a couple of little ones didn't pee in the pool but they were put out on the side of it and pee'd on the grass in full view lol.
Hardly ever saw security there was some on the weekend though but didn't much matter.
I have a lot of bad weekend stories but I won't bother going there.
Overall this hotel is missing good customer service, mind you the staff were nice but no one goes out of there way in management and its missing atmosphere even though the grounds are beautiful.
This resort has so much more potential and could be #1 if things were cleaned up.
Would we return to the Bavaro? No
I know management answers some reviews always saying there staff knows English, this is just not true for most.
I forgot to mention make sure you eat your beef well done, my silly husband didn't and yes he paid for it for a couple of days but IMO it was self inflicted because he wouldn't listen lol, his loss he lived on sprite.
Best trip ever

Always smiling and never allowed your drink to go empty. Platinum experience was awesome and is well worth getting. The comment section is too small to write how great this resort is.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Bravaro Princess. What a delightful time! Thanks to Guest Relations personnel - Nicaury Clase - our 50th "honeymoon" was over the top. Rose petals on the bed and jacuzzi, towel swans, hibiscus flowers, champagne, fresh fruit plate.....I could go on and on. I cannot say "thank you" enough to Nicaury and her little decorating elves.
This is our 4th trip to the DR and Bravaro Princess is by far the best. The resort is spectacular! Everyone from the groundsmen to the lobby staff was exceeding friendly and helpful. One amusing event was when we went to dinner one night. The hostess only asked our name and then automatically wrote down our suite #. "How did you know that?" I asked. She giggled and said she was one of the decorating elves in our room. It was like going to "Cheers".....Everybody knew our name!
Because it was June, the weather was humid. However, this is not peak season for the Caribbean and the restaurants were not crowded, nor was the beach. The trolly was a welcome perk for these old legs.
If you travel to Barvaro, be sure to take pictures of the awesome peacocks, flamingos and other wildlife. While I was sitting on my patio, a hummingbird made his appearance. Truly a peaceful place.
