Brilliant honeymoon
Fri Oct 12 00:40:00 EDT 2018
Reading the reviews we though we were going to a hotel that would be awful. It is definitely not. Please do not be put off by the bad reviews. I accept we all have our own thoughts but here are mine. We arrived on our honeymoon 17th September and were greeted by a very friendly guy on reception, checked in and were taken to our honeymoon suite. The grounds are beautiful. The grounds men work so hard to keep the gardens looking amazing. No blade of grass is out if place. The wildlife is very where to be seen. The room was huge and if you book to go on your honeymoon you get free room service. The mini bar is stocked daily with 2 bottles of beer, water and fizzy drink. Bed was a little hard for us and the wardrobes could do with a little to but I would still say that the room was beautiful. Lots of hanging space, dressing gowns, slippers, iron and ironing board. The pictures don't do the room justice. I've seen that people have moaned about the internet. Yes it's only available in the lobby but we were in holiday and win each other so that didn't matter to us. I've also seen that people have said the staff were rude that certainly wasn't our experience. I'd say treat people how you would ex0ect to be treated. Thank you to the staff. We ate at the main restaurant most mornings and there was plenty to choose from. We spent most days on the beach and there is a snack bar that do toasted sandwiches, steak and cheese, burgers and hot dogs. We loved it. There is also the restaurant by the beach. We didn't go in the day but that was only because we liked the snack bar food. We did eat at Gauchos one evening and can honestly say the food was delicious. Staff again were amazing and very polite. Yes there are men that try and get you to go to a "welcome' meeting. Again be polite and say no and they will leave you alone. Also don't let the sellers on the beach put you off. Politely say no thank you. Although we did book one trip (aqua experience). We would recommend this. We had such an amazing day. The only negative would be the cleanliness of the pool. We are used to seeing the pool being cleaned all day and have to say we never saw the pool being cleaned and the water was a little murky. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend.

Huge Disappointment

Where to begin? Unclean room, lousy customer service, sub-par food, and cheesy entertainment. Examples: drink glasses were left near poolside for over two days, had to grab a tray and to serve our friends drinks from the bar, at "sea side" restaurant we were served stale nacho chips that looked like they belonged at a high school concession stand, "entertainment" staff regularly drank with guests, air conditioning did not work properly in the room or restaurants. Will not ever go back again!

Beautiful location , Terrible Staff

Property - is beautiful, superb location , nice white sand beach Princess has invested a lot in good quality crockery , comforts for clients . What is really missing in this hotel is good quality staff . I would say , we met Only less than 5 staff during our week's stay who are genuine and hospitable . Names RAUL from , Rest , I would say 99% are USELESS , no care attitude, no sense of service , not Being trained enough for service industry . All of them , no eye contact , pour water Looking else where , doesn't replenish cutlery if it falls right in front of them , no smiles Some ,MAJOR attitude issue . Also Princess Hotels should not allow the sharks roam around in the hotel bothering the customers. By Sharks I mean the the guys in 'Caribbean Concierge' T-shirts who try cheap tricks trying to offer some cheap gifts and get your personal information. They are all over the hotel and kind of a nuisance til you say No to them million times . I could see many people getting caught to the free gift ! By the time you get used to all the tricks , you are going back from ! Cons 1. They re- use food that served day before! Yikes Everything served for dinner Hispaniola restaurant re-served for breakfast there and for lunch at the gaucho . Everyday we ate food that cooked day before which was not very pleasant . 2. They say they serve food at 9 restaurants but it's not true . It's actually 8 and other one is for platinum club . And these restaurants are only open for dinner . For breakfast only two choices and and lunch you have only three for lunch including MC princess . 3. These's no variety in good . Since it's the same food being reserved , whether the theme changes every night for Mexican , Asian , Dominican .. except for one or two new dishes you are eating the same food everyday . 4. Food is not tasty . It's just OK, I mean it's just plain , nothing fantastic about it , if one thinks it's good , means that you have not tasted good food in your life . 5. Staff are the worst I have seen anywhere . RUDE.RUDE.RUDE. Zero passion for the job . 99% are arrogant , rude and has massive NO CARE ATTITUDE. No eye contact , no greetings , you are lucky if they even look at you when they pour the water or coffee . That's the funny thing , they don't ask you whether you want water cold or room temperature. They just dump the water in your face . I tell you ,they are not even good for work in McDonald's! 7. Internet is only available in the lobby and it's so so slow . It's useless , You cannot practically check anything . Never expect to come and work from the resort . 8. Hotel is full of sharks roaming around to get information out of you offering you a cheap free gift . Management has allowed this nuisance , there's no respect for walking around without getting disturbed . They wear T-shirts 'Caribbean Concierge ' and claim to be hotel concierge. They try to take you to some shady corner saying that they have gifts for you , I've seen people getting tricked all the time for the 'free gift' ! We were they are tricking people for 'time-share' . 9. At the beach , you are constantly bothered by hawkers who seem to think they might get lucky every time they show cigars , souvenirs etc . We also noticed some shady dealings going on with hotel staff , offering food to hawkers and something's were exchanged in return , I don't wanna assume bad stuff .
