The hotel is great so is the staff team. The restaurants are worth the visit with its special dishes and atmosphere. 2 big dissapontments in the hotel. The wifi in the lobby is terrible and stay away from anyone who try to offer tou anything. Special the people from Royal Excursions. Theybehave as if the hostess had to obligation to buy their vacation package. Be careful special to one of Riyal Excursion manager, Jimmy. Very More>

Wasn't A Happy Camper

The positive first, property is pretty and extremely well maintained. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly and accommodating. Food is awful, got sick one day into trip from the food and was sick the entire trip. It's hit or miss which of the six restaurants will be open, Chopin was never open. They try really hard with food presentation but nothing is gourmet, everything is pre-prepared fast food and there is not one thing that I could say I actually enjoyed eating. Only semi-descent meal was at the Italian pasta restaurant. The weather was so hot and humid, it was oppressive, so unless you were in the pool or the ocean, it was impossible to enjoy the outdoors. I definitely would not return to this resort or even chance going back to Punta Cana. I did hear good things about the Dreams Resort but in light of the stomach issues I encountered, my desire to return to the DR is ZERO. More>

I took my 90 year old mom to this hotel for a mother / Daughter get away! It was the greatest place to go..well worth upgrading to platinum for a private beach with sofa loungers and Fred the concierge....he was amazing to my mom and she thought he was the greatest too. Taking the trolly train from building to building was great and everyone was so friendly....I was not feeling well on the second day due to the flu and the waiter at one of the a-la-cart restaurants happen to be in the medical field and fixed me right up,,,no charge... The beach was Beautiful and food was endless....I would say out of all the places I have been...this was the biggest Bang for your buck. I was at this resort a few years ago and going back this Jan...Cant wait to go back. More>

My mother and I went down to the resort with a Groupon deal, and we were quite impressed. First off, the beaches were beautiful. Yes, there was a little bit of seaweed, but nothing to write home about. And its a great 2 mile long walk to the last resort back and forth if you want some exercise in paradise. Our room was fantastic, large and more than we needed for the two of us. And the central air was a god send on the hot days. The beds were comfy and the Jacuzzi in room was great to relax after a day of beach volleyball and walking around. It was also great to sit on the front porch at night and have a night cap. And BIG TIP! Wifi is not in the rooms, if you go to the lobby it still isn't great. Ask the desk for a portable router, it is smaller than your phone and has GREAT service. The trams run every 10 minutes to drive you around to all of the excellent restaurants, bars and the beach. But I do recommend just walking and taking in the nice surroundings. The staff is almost overly accommodating. Take some time and talk to them and you will end up on a first name basis and so happy you did. Never take staff for granted, as you make or break you trip if you are snooty to them. The only cons I have are snacks, if you are like me and like to snack during the day, bring a few seeing as the store there only has doritos, chips and nuts. And if you are wine fan, know the wine is not something spectacular down there. But I was told you can duty free it down if wanted. All in All, the Bavaro Princess is definitely a great resort. First trip with my boyfriend. Was excellent stay, excellent service, food, activities and we made great friends and connections. There is so many different restaurants on the resorts you can try all sorts of foods but I do not recommend the Chinese restaurant ... More>
