My first All Inclusive Family Experience was a good one!

Quick baseline about me: First time at all inclusive resort. I come from a blue collar middle class family, but have tasted expensive luxuries along with very budget trips. If you can put life into perspective that you are getting to experience what 99% of the rest of the world could not ever afford to do, then you will enjoy yourself regardless of any small imperfections. I travelled with my wife , 4 year old boy and 2 month old son. Weather hot and a bit of rain. They provide umbrellas in rooms and it is so hot that it did not really bother me. My 4 year old and I had a blast swimming in the rain. The resort is big and they have a couple trolly's that shuttle you around the place. The longest you will wait is 10 minutes. Food: Breakfast buffet is all you would want. Omelet station was delicious, plenty of fruit, juice, they keep your coffee full. All we needed The lunch buffet had many many options, food was ok. But making delicious delicacies for 1000's of people would be hard. Again, not a problem to find something I liked to give me energy. The a la carte restaurants were good with the Japanese one standing out as the best by far. Experience and food was great. Least favourtie a la carte was El Gaucho, just because a couple of our steaks came out incorrect. They were happy to correct it. Kids pool is perfect!! When my son says on day 1 that he is loving it and thanks us for bringing him there, that is all the review I need. They have a fun kids club there too. It is also right beside the beach, so after the kids, you can just hop the fence and let your child play in the sand while you enjoy the beach. Staff and service is great, lots of smiles. Bring a lot of small bills to reward them for their good work. I was shocked at the amount of people that did not tip at all, even at the japanese restaurant were the chef was amazing and put on a show for us. The $30/$40 you might shell out over the course of a week is nothing to you and means the world to them. TIP! Check in check out process was great. Shuttle too and from airport was free and easy. Casino on location was good. Drinks came fast. I would definitely recommend this place for a family vacation. I would go back.

This was an excellent vacation at an excellent resort - thank you to the Sunwing and Bavaro Pricess staff who were all amazing and thank to our travel agent Lynne Sweet for getting things together. We will be back. We traveled March 19-26 2017. This was our 1st time at The Bavaro Princess although we have stayed twice at the sister resort The Caribe Princess – both times were great - but this was very special. We are an energetic couple in our early 60’s and seek a quiet relaxed vacation where we are totally pampered in an inviting environment. Overall the resort is one of the best we have experienced in the Caribbean given the price range. The combination of location, price, facilities, staff and variety of food makes the resort perfect for our vacation expectations. The resort was originally opened in 1992 although it has obviously been updated and renovated. Even though it is well maintained it does occasionally show its age. The resort is located on a 50 mile long beach that has beautiful white puffy sand. At this portion of the beach there was very little seaweed – a slight nuisance on some portions of the 50 mile long beach. An important point - We took the upgrade to the Platinum club … without the upgrade the resort would not be a 4-5 star resort and we would not have been as pleased with the vacation. So a big recommendation to take the upgrade. Arrival and our room : We realized the difference the Platinum Club membership made when we arrived and strolled into the beautiful lobby. Once the staff realized we were Platinum Club members the whole registration process changed … actually, it was a bit amazing and a pleasant experience. We were whisked away to a private lounge, provided Champaign and were introduced to the primary facilities of the resort. Very efficient and a pleasant experience after a long day of travel. The room was ready by 3 pm (the usual in our experience). A view of the ocean, a great balcony and a very spacious room. The bed was to our liking with lots of room to stretch out. Beautifully done with flowers and a swan on the bed. There were 2 cotton house coats laid out for us. We found a bottle of premium scotch, vodka and rum. Budweiser and Miller beer as well as local brand in the bar area. Our mini bar was constantly refilled, the bar man was very accommodating and happy to do so. A man worth knowing! We stayed in room 773, very close to the private Platinum Lounge… a plus as it means you can get WIFI on the balcony and also a few steps to all the treats in the lounge (the source of the WIFI). The Play Area – Pools Beach : There is a private Platinum Club beach area that includes bar service at your “sun bed”. The beach is probably the best I have seen (although my European beach experience is thin). Soft sand, almost white. There are 2 pools. One near the main lobby. Very quiet, not even any music. Not many folks there so a great “private” escape. The main pool is very large, lots of good areas to sun tan and the animation club keeps you entertained. Pool bar is great, the bar tenders were a lot of fun and mixed some tasty treats. I liked the fact I could get premium labels. A suggestion; The music while lively and upbeat could use some variety. The animation team could collect a list of requested songs and then compiled a playlist for later in the day. They could encourage a sing along or name that tune/ artist. Would direct the style of music to the age group dominate at the pool at that time. Restaurants & Bars : 3 buffets and slew of good restaurants : I could get into all of the food but there are so many choices – during the day a buffet near the main pool, a hot dog/ Hamburger place for day time and a buffet at the main lounge. At night 2 buffets - one with a floating piano player, or any number of theme restaurants. All good, all enjoyable but not high end fantastic. Bars - we re not (no longer) big bar users so not really qualified – can say they had primum label and made generous drinks. As a Premium Club member you can get reservations setup by phone or at the lounge – we sat down flor 20 minutes with a rep at the lounge and booked every night, very easy and no stress as we sipped a cool drink and enjoyed the warm breeze.

This hotel is great the rooms are slightly dated but clean and very comfortable with good aircon. This side of the island is fairly windy and the beach was a bit chilly sometimes but this is great for water sports. The pool area is great and the staff are amazing couldn't do more for us. The restaurants for the evenings have limited menus but the food it great and the portion sizes are huge. The activities staff were lovely and included everyone. Cocktails were great ! We went at Christmas time and a church service is available but Christmas is celebrated on the 24th. They made the day a wonderful celebration.

Amazing!!!!

A big shout out to Raphy the pool bartender and our maid Marcia they were fantastic. The food was some of the best i have had in the Dominican and the beach is just stunning. I would highly recommend this resort to all my friends. Cant wait to go back.
