I'll start by saying, my stay at the Zoetry Villa Rolandi was just what the doctor ordered. 2019 was a rough year for me. I wanted a place where I could chill out and just relax. To that end, my highest priority is having a great pool experience, which was accomplished. The pools and surrounding areas/grounds are beautiful, the pools are kept sparkling clean, drink and food service is friendly and efficient, and there were plenty of comfortable lounge chairs available. An A+ experience. The food at the resort was generally good. We ate breakfast and lunch at the main restaurant or at the pool every day. We went into town most nights for dinner. The taxis are cheap and we discovered some great places. For us, that was a lot of fun. However, there were plenty of guests who seemed quite happy eating all meals at the resort. The only complaint I had, were the rooms. In my opinion, they are in desperate need of renovation. Everyone I spoke to had one complaint or another about the condition of their room. Ultimately, it did not ruin my trip, but it was a struggle. I recommend Zoetry Villa Rolandi, it was a wonderful escape. In fact, I wish I was there right now! The one caveat is the condition of the rooms. If that matters to you – you are forewarned.
Picked this hotel from TripAdvisor and my travel agent. Read everything I could about the resort and took a chance. Having been to the island 20 years ago it was mixed feelings to see how built up and crowded it’s become. Surprisingly it is just as charming and cool. Zoetry Villa is what they call a “Boutique” Hotel. Quiet, and relaxing. Don’t come looking for action or nightlife of any kind. But you get excellent customer service, great food and an awesome spa. I thought the rooms were clean and nice but in my opinion could’ve been more luxurious. I would add a coffee shop. Room Service ROCKED fast service 24 hours even if you just wanted desserts! Tiramisu was to die for. Food was great. Nothing bad to say about this place.
Great staff, property needs work
Best food we've had at 5 different AM Resort properties. Staff was friendly. Was not adults only as they claim The "No smoking" signs around the pool must have been for decoration. Some of the decking boards were loose and when you walked over them you felt like you might fall through.
Lovely small resort
My sister and I plan a warm vacation each February. We are getting older, so we wanted to go to some place quiet with good food. Based on previous reviews, we selected Zoetry. As we had hoped for, this resort is small, clean and quiet with impeccable food/drinks and service. Our room had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. The staff were very kind and attentive to us two old ladies. We arranged for transportation from the airport in Cancun to the resort. We arranged this through the resort at extra cost, but it was definitely worth the money and it was seamless. The resort offered free yoga and meditation classes with Marzia. I've been practicing yoga for 20 plus years and attended five yoga sessions over the course of seven days with Marzia. I have to say she is one of the best yoga teachers I've had. She is really wonderful. If you like yoga, don't miss it. While I didn't make it to the meditation classes, I heard from other guests that it was wonderful as well. We would definitely come back. Bravo!
Amazing Food and Total Relaxation
As a travel agent I am able to visit many amazing places and stay at fantastic resorts around the world. I was excited to have the opportunity to visit Zoetry and stay for a couple nights. This was such a fun and relaxing experience. The yacht transfer to the resort was so nice, with champagne offered and incredibly beautiful water. The staff at the resort was all friendly and attentive and we only had a couple little issues with pool service and lunch service. The rooms are very spacious and have amazing views but could really use some updating and more comfortable beds. The property is beautiful and small and has a small beach just steps away. The food was amazing. Everything we ate was perfection. I had a couple services at the spa and they were great, although I do miss having the full -service spa that I'm used to with pools, steam rooms, etc. It's a very small hotel and small spa. I would recommend this place if you really want to get away from it all and just relax and indulge in fantastic food and drinks. If you want nightlife this resort is not for you, but the island has some fun things to explore if you feel like getting out. Renting a golf cart is the easiest way to get around.
