A lovely paradise
We stayed at the IMPRESSION section of the resort. It was a wonderful suite with all the amenities, scrupulously clean, plentiful towels and toiletries, well decorated. The view was fabulous. The restaurants were great and the service from each and every staff member was outstanding. The pool and beach areas were superb.
We had an incredible stay at this holiday, very chilled atmosphere and awesome staff and service, Our butlers Victor, Christian and Isaac were outstanding and really looked after us as well as Jarlin looking after us by the pool. The food and drinks were exceptional all the staff deserve huge praise.
Great resort for a quick getaway without kids
We loved our 5 day trip to Zoetry. The resort was small and peaceful but with all the amenities we needed. - Rooms: All suite hotel, with private balconies. Great space for just the two of us. Huge bathroom, although small shower. - Pool: only one pool, but big enough for all guests; never an issue getting chairs. Eduardo set up our chairs each morning. - Spa: AMAZING (although many services were VERY expensive). For body treatments and massage, Patricia was wonderful. As a UVC vacation club member, we also did the hydrotherapy circuit for free, and Yesenia made that so relaxing. It was a surprisingly long session that included massage. Gerbin at the spa reception took care of us with a big smile, and was flexible when we had to change an appointment time. - Activities: Yoga each morning with Daniel on the pier over the ocean is a must. He has such a calming presence. What a great way to start the day. We also did sushi making that Daniel hosted (Aaron was the fantastic sushi chef), and a wine tasting. There were other activities like cigar rolling and tequila tasting that we didn't do. - Restaurants: there were two sit down restaurants for dinner. Jorge at Xaak for dinner was our incredible server for three nights at dinner. The menu changes nightly so we ate here throughout the trip. The food was good (not great), and Jorge could not have been any more attentive. He remembered that I have a gluten allergy, and brought me a special GF dessert each night that was never on the menu. Somehow he knew I love chocolate and my desserts were delicious. The food at the other restaurant was delicious and a beautiful presentation. Note that almost all guests are without kids, so the meals are long and leisurely. We opted for room service for breakfast so we could start our day when we wanted, rather than sitting in a restaurant. - Drink/Food Service at the Pool: this is the one area of the resort that I felt was lacking. There were a lot of servers and they were quick to come, but it took a while to get food and drinks. The pool bar is very close (and in the shade) so it was often easier to get a drink yourself and get out of the sun for a few minutes. - Beach: like all of Riviera Maya/Cancun, there was a seaweed problem. But the resort did an fantastic job cleaning it up. The sand was really nice. The beach had chairs if you wanted to be there, but it was very windy this time of year, so we stayed by the pool.
We couldn’t ask for a better sunset sail as we had tonight with La Bonita’s catamaran provided thru Zoetry. What an amazing all inclusive perk from an excellent resort. The resort waiter came aboard and served chilled champagne, cold beer and icy cold water. Just perfect!
This is our HAPPY PLACE
Most recent stay was in October 2019 We have been to Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita many times (I think this was our 7th visit) and we have no plans on visiting anywhere else when we want to get away for a couple of days and just completely relax. We absolutely love our time at this resort and appreciate the atmosphere, decor, food, and especially the service! This past visit (and the one previous) we stayed in one of the Impressions suites. The rooms are gorgeous, extremely spacious, and all include the sunrise view over the ocean and sunset views over the jungle. Just amazing. The resort itself is boutique and exclusive, but staying in the Impressions building takes that to another level. It is definitely worth the extra money for the butler service, exclusive pool and bar, and access to the red kitchen and Dragons restaurant. The following people made our recent stay very special. Joshua - the chef in the Red Kitchen. He is extremely skilled and prepares you a delicious breakfast made-to-order. I suggest eating the special of the day, you will never be disappointed. Most of all, his plate presentation is just gorgeous. Victor - was our butler for most of our stay during the day. He was super-responsive and very helpful with any of our requests. He greeted us every morning and made sure we had what we needed for day and then would take care of scheduling anything that we wanted to do. He was also very involved in making sure that we had a special dinner prepared for us to celebrate our anniversary. Jarlin - was our beach butler. He made our time on the beach extra special. He was warm, friendly, amusing, and accommodating. He made sure that our bali bed was ready for us every morning and always had a special message written in sand for us. We wanted for nothing during our time on the beach. Jarlin definitely made our visit memorable with his personality and desire to make sure we were pampered in every way. Carlos - the best bartender on the beach. He had a tremendous smile and a great personality. He was always ready to bring you another beverage and makes a mean michelada! No resort is ever perfect and/or meets the expectations for everyone. We all have different taste and preferences. The beach at Paraiso de la Bonita isn't great all the time. If there is weather out in the ocean, the water is going to be murky with seaweed. Doesn't bother us. We have been when the beach was pristine and when you couldn't walk on it. We also talked to other guests that would negatively compare the food and service to other resorts. We think the food and service in the restaurants is perfect. Also, the lack of any 'nightlife' is exactly what we find appealing. This may not be some other's preference, but we appreciate it. There were a few things in service that have changed that I feel should be mentioned because I think the changes took away some of the exclusivity. 1. There was no champagne on the shuttle from the airport to the resort. I know that sounds petty, but in all of the times we have visited, this was the first time we did not get a cold glass of champagne for the ride to the resort. 2. The Bonita Bar at the Impression building did not have any liquor/beer/wine during the day. Last year when we stayed, anyone in the Impression building could come down to the Bonita Bar at any time of day and make yourself a drink, grab a beer, etc... I was shocked when I found this out the hard way on our first day. It was disappointing. 3. The shuttle to the airport upon departure was not so private and had scheduled departure times, no matter what time your flight was leaving. In all of our previous stays, we had a private shuttle that was scheduled just for us to take us to the airport when we needed to be there. Now, the shuttles are on a schedule and you may be stuffed into a van with 3-4 other couples, like we were. One of the couples were forced to arrive at the airport almost 4 hours before their flight because of the shuttle schedule. It's not that we don't like other people, but it was just different. It just takes away from the 'exclusivity' of the experience and disappointing. Those observations are so minor, and will never cause us not to return to Paraiso de la Bonita. As I said in the title, this is our HAPPY PLACE. It is exactly what WE are looking for in a relaxing, pampered vacation. Next trip is already in the planning stages, and will definitely be sooner than later!!!
