When you first arrive the hotel the staff say welcome home - and they make you feel at home all the time. The service around the pool is fantastic and no problems with getting a bed. Breakfast with parrots is a highlight
A wonderful stay with fabulous service
We stayed for 6 nights in a one bedroom suite. We loved the hotel more and more the longer we stayed. The hotel is beautiful despite the seaweed on the beach. The only thing it stopped us doing was swimming in the sea but the hotel arranged for us to join a complimentary catamaran trip out to a sand bank so we got to swim in the clear blue sea anyway. The seaweed is a problem all along the coast but the hotel seemed to be doing a better job than others at clearing it away. The service at the hotel is truly excellent, in particular Enrique, Oscar and Daniel. Daniel's daily yoga out on the pontoon by the sea was the best way to start the day! The food was excellent. The sommelier was really knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed the tequila tasting with him too! The only downside was that not all 3 restaurants were open every night; the smartest restaurant was closed for 2 of our 6 nights stay. The complimentary sunset cruise was great. I'd recommend the hotel and we'd return again.
Another Wonderful AM Property!!
This resort was gorgeous!! We had an amazing stay during our week at Zoetry Paraiso! I have never been to another resort that has been so accommodating to dietary requests. The food was fabulous! Service was amazing over the entire property. From the bars, to the restaurants & beach we never wanted for a thing! The resort is very private, which we thought was very nice. It is set back to where there is no "beach traffic'. The only downside was the beach & ocean was quite messy with seaweed. The staff did their best efforts to tackle this, but there was really only one day during our stay that the beach was as gorgeous as the pictures show. I would definitely recommend this property! We had a fabulous time!!
Wonderful, relaxing holiday
Spent an awesome holiday at this wonderful resort. The service was amazing, nothing was too much bother. Also, the food was outstanding. The only disappointment was not being able to swim at the beach due to the seaweed however the pool area is lovely so it didnt matter too much. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Excellent resort - with some quirks
This is the first time we have booked an all-inclusive resort, and that too via Costco - so we were not sure what to expect. We were pampered by the absolutely superb and friendly service - the greeters up front, reception desk, bars and restaurants, room service and housekeeping. The service was on par with many of the five stars we have stayed at across the globe. However, the reason for the four stars is because of a few shortcomings: 1. At the welcome meeting, we were pushed to look into their “membership” program - which we have never had to endure elsewhere at a hotel class like this - seemed a little crass 2. The on-property restaurants were good, but limited in number/variety. The food was excellent. However, do not hold your breath on using reciprocal privileges at other sister properties unless you have your own car - we were told the cab fare would be $40+ each way which did not make sense. Also, we inquired about the oriental restaurant on site available at the impression club - and the cost per head would have been higher than a price fixe meal at a top restaurant in Chicago! Not cool! 3. To get us to talk to the salespeople, we were offered VIP coupons - we did not use a single one in our six days as the fees for massages, wine bottles etc. were frankly ludicrous and substantially higher than at some of the Four Seasons we have stayed at. 4. We used an outside travel agency (Living Dreams Mexico which we highly recommend) to visit Chichen Itza - the local resort one, which seemed to operate only on certain days, seemed a bit uninterested. 5. Finally, as someone recently noted, the rooms could use some freshening - our air conditioner was not working too well, sink fixtures were old etc. Despite these issues, our overall experience was excellent. As a family, we are not yet sold on the notion of an all inclusive resort - but the Zoetry was very good in ensuring our needs were more than met. I would recommend this resort to others with the caveats above. Hats off to the entire staff - they made our first visit to Mexico a pleasure, and we look forward to visiting the Yucatán peninsula again.
