I had stayed at this Hotel 15 years ago and was completely satisfied. First impressions great. Friendly greetings, didn’t wait at front desk, was able to check in early. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained. Staff very friendly. However, unfortunately there was a very large problem in the room. It smelled musty at first. My friend and I unpacked. I laid down on the bed and the sheets had a sour smell to them and then we looked around and noticed that the furniture in the room was very dated. The chair to the desk was stained, and the bathroom was clean but old. We were told by the concierge that Marriot was going to do a 2 year renovation. When I packed my suitcase to go home my clothes seemed wet. When I got home my clothes smelled and felt wet. Had the wash all my clothes because they all smelled musty. They have to do something to control the moisture in the air. The air conditioner worked fine but didn’t help the humidity. Won’t be back until it’s remodeled.
One more wonderful experience.
We had a great bridge tournament again. The hotel staff was great, every need we had was dealt with very professionally, the venue was well lit air conditioning worked great and the food at the restaurants was delicious.
Quiet, Private, Peaceful
Loved that we never saw more than 20 people at a time here! It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pools are laid out very well; lots of loungers and daybeds. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with whatever we may have needed. ...and it was only 5 minutes from the airport! The only drawback was that the food was average. I would most definitely return and would recommend others give it a try as well.
We led to Retreats at the hotel to 6 day Retreats the staff was absolutely marvelous they accommodate us every stage of our production and I want to make particular mention of the beach staff particularly humbre who assisted Us in extracurricular activities bike rentals kayak activities and Valley pool in the pool
The best overall in town
If you are looking for an incredibly manicured resort that is beautiful then this is it. The food was terrific and a good variety. The staff was off the charts friendly. We got a king bed on the 12th floor and recommend that floor. It is super clean, and great service. We went at the end of the rainy season for the price reduction and that is smart. The rain is limited and was only at night two times. The balcony was great with a wonderful view of the ocean and bay. We were in 1213. We did have a humidifier in the room which worked great. We recommend this for this time of year. By the way, the rain cuts the humidity in PV. The reviews about being smothered in time share stuff is not true. We got one requested is all. The Westin is owned by Marriott and they do a soft sell. We did it and said no and it was less than 90 minutes and no pressure at all! Unfortunately the new suites were not Spanish in nature, even thought really nice. The Westin character was gone. The pools are beautiful and great for all ages. The beach is smaller but it is next to the Regina and it is all one beach. The water was very warm! We were always able to get chairs at the beach and pool. The staff at meals was exceptional! We have been to PV at least 9 times and this is by far our favorite spot. It is close to the marina so you can walk over and do and see whatever there. The buses are now newer and you need exact change which for the two of us was 20 Pecos. The are very nice and a great way to get around cheap. We love PV for its character.
