I have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and the view is breathtaking. You can snorkel right off the beach and see many different varities of fish.
Great family vacation!
With beautiful rooms and many pools, this resort really has it all! The resort is right on the ocean and right of the shore are beautiful fish and corral growths. The pools are very nice and enjoyable. The rooms are relatively new and are spacious and comfortable with a small kitchen and dining area. For the kids, there are activities every day (except Saturday and Sunday) in addition to craft fairs several times during the week. On property, there are several different restaurants. Although very expensive, the food is still very good. With helpful staff and many restaurants, this resort truly is a great place to stay in Hawaii.
We’ve stayed at other Westin resorts (owners) and hotels and this was our first time here. Based on our prior experiences we were looking forward to the visit. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Our room was at the end of the building and while top floor, we overlooked the laundry area. The service level was less than what we experienced at other resorts (Cancun sets the bar) and we seemed to be a bother as guests. Pool side service as almost nonexistent and had limited hours. The hotel did not bother to mention that due to the storm last year the beach was also almost nonexistent (one reason we came to this hotel). They also still had older images up showing the old beach. On the positive side, the outdoor restaurants had good food (try the fish taco’s).
We stayed in the older part of the resort but enjoyed ourselves. We had a studio villa which had a refrigerator, kitchenette and washer/dryer. The resort is spotless and the housekeeping was amazing. The beach was beautiful. The snorkeling is amazing and effortless. There were fish and turtles just a few meters from the shore. There weren't any mosquitoes which was a relief for my bite prone family. I can see why people may not feel the need to ever leave the resort. We stocked up at Costco before coming over. There were many families using the BBQs which would be a great alternative to eating out every night. This was one of our favorite Westin properties.
This place is steps from Kaanapali beach. We enjoyed watching the sunset here every night. Each evening it was amazing. Also, the snorkeling was fun here. We saw two octopus, an eel and turtle. The pool service was excellent. They had a nice variety of items for lunch. The service here was top notch!
