So much goodness here!!
We stayed here for our 9th Anniversary and had the absolute best time!! We definitely want to acknowledge as many people as possible...but truly for us all staff were top notch. Check in went well and staff went above and beyond to fulfill our request for a room upgrade. I can't remember totally but I recall being assisted by Ashley and Allison....such dears. Also Ashton was a big help throughout our stay. Definitely go for a balcony room if you can or at least the water view. For us food was great and the best option for us was the Verandah as they had the most options for our vegetarian needs. Tings on a Stick was quaint but didn't have many vegetarian options to choose from. Staff at the Verandah and Chickcharnies were fabulous....specifically Elizabeth, Elovoise, Cedrica and Mercedes. They were very a attentive and always pleasant. The weekdays seemed much more pleasant and way less crowded than weekends, but even with the larger crowds (starting Thursday and Friday) you were still able to find space around the pool and at the bars...and Monet was great at the outside bar.. The pool and man made beach for us were grest. Especially as we were able to.go to Cabbage Beach...which was very close, we did not have a problem at all with the property only having the small 'beach' area. Cabbage Beach staff were super awesome as well. The quick shuttle ride from hotel to beach was pleasant and wasn't bad to walk to either. Debbie was so helpful everyday with making reservations, suggestions or just checking in with us to make sure we were good and aware of any activities. The property is a short walk from the Atlantis or you can take the shuttle. It is also close to the ferry where you can ride over to Nassau for shopping and other stuff. The ferry does stop at 6 though so keep that in mind. The only thing we would have liked a little better (although we still had a magnificent time) was more evening and afternoon entertainment options. Junkanoo was awesome. The dance show was nice and Karaoke was fun..but there really wasn't a lot of variety. Linden and Sammy were great though and really worked hard to get the crowd involved and entertained. We also took the bike tour with Linden and he was a wealth of knowledge, giving us a greater appreciation of Bahamian culture as well as our own!! Overall, we would definitely recommend Warwick Paradise Island to others and look forward to coming back someday!! The McDonalds
Relaxing Stay w/ Issues
We went for our 5th wedding anniversary and had a great trip when we stayed at the Warwick Pros: The room was nice size, clean and we had a balcony The resort was not overcrowded Decent food but not great Cons: Some of the staff was standoffish and not helpful No real beach and the man-made beach is very small Wristbands- which i always find tacky & they wanted to charge you a $100 if you lost the .50 cent wristband Towel card-they wanted to charge you $100 if you lost the the $1 plastic card We went for our 5th wedding anniversary and had a great trip
50th birthday celebrations at the Warwick
We had the best time at the Warwick!!! The staff are genuinely lovely people and their welcome started as soon as you checked in with a refreshing drink served as you completed the paperwork. We were upgraded to the most beautiful water view room room 1209 which helped us start every day with a smile. Debbie helped with the booking of the restaurants and organised a beautiful bouquet for my husband for my birthday. She greeted us like old friends and always took time to help us when we changed our restaurant bookings to fit in with plans. Some people do just come in for the weekend and yes there is a party atmosphere but everyone is good spirited and just there to enjoy!! Edgewater grill was my favourite restaurant and the steaks were lovely. The lamb shank was great at the Abbioco. Jarvis was great making us smile with his enthusiasm at the Edgewater ! Tings on a stick serve great food and the service was great. Just get there early as it’s popular! They had a barbecue evening on Thursday which we unfortunately missed on our first week with great food and singers followed by the weekly Junkanoo entertainers who dance through reception entertaining the guests with their enthusiasm and smiles! Glenique and Mexell were lovely at the Verandah buffet always showing interest in what we were doing and chatting to us to make our visit more interesting. We did book up the cabbage beach trip - the hotel go out of their way with the drinks and lunch - something I’ve not experienced before! The sea can be quite demanding if you’re not a strong swimmer so I just paddled but I walked further up the beach and the views are stunning. Well worth the trip aIone! I enjoyed the small beach at the hotel with the little white fish that swim at your feet. We went on the shuttle to Atlantis a couple of times - they take you at 8pm and pick up at 11pm but you can walk back as it’s not far! You’re dropped at the crystal court shops and you can walk through to the casino, beautiful sculptures and aquarium. Outside you can walk along the marina and the yachts are out of this world! Junkanoo comes through on Saturday evening at 9pm and they have some great craft stalls like Blue seahorse who sell gorgeous gifts made from the pink sand from Eleuthera as well as some little shops like “My Ocean”to buy souvenirs. The rooms were so comfortable and the cleaning ladies treat you like family! You really feel at home! A lovely gesture to leave a bottle of sparkle on ice on my birthday! When you see the prices outside the hotel you really appreciate the all inclusive - eg €60 for a pizza at The Marina village - the only way to go in the Bahamas unless you have a bottomless wallet!!! We took the trip by water ferry into Nassau but if there are 2 or more of you it can be more convenient to take taxis - we did when we went to the zoo and rum factory!! We felt safe everywhere and loved the base at the Warwick close by for Blue lagoon and Powerboat adventures! On our last afternoon we weren’t aware of the booking system for the complementary changing room so the staff went out of their way to get me another room to shower and change before our 6pm departure! Book the Warwick you won’t be disappointed!!! Thanks for looking after us and making our holiday in the Bahamas so fabulous!
Nice relaxed stay
We were a little worried as a lot of bad reviews about the food. What a pleasant surprise. The hotel was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and was eager to help. The rooms are a good size and have big windows, makes them very bright. Pleasantly furnished and a good place to stay. The food was a lot better then anticipated. The buffet was always well presented and stocked. The food was of good quality. There was a pleasant choice and something for everyone. We only ate once at the Edgewater Grill. It was a very good meal and great service. The salmon was cooked nice with some moisture left. The ribeye was one of the best I had. Cooked to the right temperature and incredible tender. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would go back.
Had an amazing holiday at the Warwick in Paradise Island. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Especially the lovely Shama who was the kindest, sweetest and friendliest person we met. The food in the a la carte restaurants was delicious and service was impeccable. They have a free shuttle to the Atlantis if you want to go to the casino and aquarium (free after 6pm) and a free shuttle to cabbage beach which is picturesque. I would recommend taking the water taxi which is only $8 return to Bay Street were you can pick up some souvenirs and you get a free tour guide on the way. A wonderful holiday ☺️
