Our favorite of anywhere in Mexico!
I've been visiting this resort forever, first as a guest and then as an owner. The staff here are amazing, they feel like family as they go out of their way every day to make your stay memorable. As others have mentioned, this is an older resort but don't let that dissuade you from considering VdP as a great place. there are maintenance personnel continually working on the resort and there's not a blade of grass that's out of place. Now that we're retired, my wife and I like to spend more time there and I feel confident in saying that you will have a great experience. There's lots for the kids to do, the pool is fabulous, and there's even a quiet pool over by the Villa del Mar that is great for adults without children. Restaurants in the resort are very good, and as my Wife and I are foodies, we're pretty tough to please but buffet has dishes that are out of this world, and the Italian restaurant Trattoria is small but intimate. You can even get great wings at the sports bar Champs. We don't take the all-inclusive option as we love visiting Vallartas fabulous array of dining opportunities, but if you go all-inclusive, you certainly won't be disappointed. Front end staff are wonderful too, friendly and attentive. The bus downtown is just a short walk from reception, and there's always taxis available. Enjoy!
This is an older resort but well maintained and impeccably staffed . Rooms are updated and clean. Food is good. Staff is very attentive. All inclusive is well worth the price and a cash tip goes a long way here. Catch a bus for $1 and ride into town where you experience “old Mexico” away from the resort. Very friendly people.
We weren’t sure what to think of this place since we were doing the time share tour and as a result got such an awesome deal on an all inclusive package. It isn’t the biggest resort we have been to, but I have to say the service was far better than we have experienced in some of the larger more expensive resorts. The room was nice, we had a partial ocean view (although that came as an “upgrade”) and we had to come out of pocket for that. But it was well worth the additional price. The restaurants although few, were all good, the food was great and again the service was 5 star. The beach is sort of smallish and the vendors are relentless. But after our first day we realized that in order to not be constantly bothered by vendors that we just had to sit closer to the pool, where the vendors were not allowed. As you would guess the service is a little better closer to the pool. The tone share your was not nearly as bad or pressured as we expected and only took about 2 hours out of our day. I would definitely stay here again for the delicious food and fantastic service from both the wait staff and the bartenders. The pool is a bit noisy during the day, but we went at a time when a lot of families are vacationing and that was expected.
wonderful place for a family vacation
We had a family group at Villa Del Palmar this summer and all of us had a wonderful time. The staff treated us so well and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals provided. I once again took advantage of the morning Stretch Class with Monsa and loved the time with her near the ocean.I compliment the management on the cleanliness and lovely decor.
