Terrible Customer Service - WiFi SUCKS!!!!!!!!
The hotel/resort is nice, but the people at the front desk and concierge have not been helpful at all during my stay so far. Just checked in yesterday (June 1st and leaving on Friday, June 7th, 2019). I understand that I'm here on vacation, but I still intended to get some work done, and would like to do that work in my room. Well, that's definitely not happening. To make a long story short, from what they can tell me is that the internet sucks in every single room. So if you want decent internet, which I'm on now in the hotel lobby, you can't access it in your room. I was told to come to the lobby and do my work, and that the internet is the NUMBER ONE complaint at this property. So why even promote this terrible internet, and give me a wifi information if it's not going to work? When I complained about this there was nothing they could do, they said to try accessing the internet on your balcony and that didn't work either. So here I am, trying to keep up on some work while on vacation, and have to leave the comfort of my room, and work in the lobby with all these distractions. They should let people know up front that they can't access the internet in their rooms. They didn't even offer to move me to a better room that may be closer to an actual internet access point that works and this resort is empty. I'll be here until this Friday, but I definitely won't be coming back because all the service I have received so far has been terrible, and I will tell other's not to come as well unless someone reaches out to me to fix this while I am here. Whatever you do, do not get put in room 3203B, which is the room we are in now. I've tried talking to management but no one wants to talk to me, so if you (management) is reading this post I'll be here until Friday (3202B), come and talk to me. I'm trying to find another hotel/resort in the meantime so we can move and enjoy our vacation. CN
Super Vacation Place!
Such amazing and best hotel/resort so far! Clean open and friendly environment from all staff. They makes us feel like home. Such a luxurious and pleasant spa, staff is very respectful. Our family also enjoys the days at the pool area and water is always cleaned and set at perfect temperature for all to enjoy. Cristobal es "el mejor amigo." Gracias a todos por ser nos sentir como en casa!!
It was so relaxing amidst luxury. Fabulous family vacation. The staff go above and beyond. Special call out to: Jorge, Octavio, Betty, Danny, Cosa, , Renee and Oscar. They were so kind and really helped us have a great time Just fabulous
Wonderful and memorable family vacation
We recently spent 10 days at this resort. The staff was incredibly caring, friendly, and helpful. We especially enjoyed conversations with Regee by the pool and taking part in the wide range of resort activities that Betty and Pepe coordinated. The ceviche class for adults was enjoyable and they kept our 2 kids active with a variety of games. The property was immaculate, the landscaping was beautiful maintained, and the pool and beach were very clean. My kids enjoyed seeing all the land crabs that came out on the beach nightly. We left this resort rested, relaxed and looking forward to our return. Highly recommend this beautiful resort! May is a great time to come as it wasn't yet too hot and the crowds weren't nearly as bad as in the high season (winter).
Skip the Timeshare Presentation and Book the Spa
We were hustled a little at the airport by Grayline Tours. They talked us into having breakfast and a tour of Villa Del Palmar Flamingos. We signed up and had breakfast and a tour with Carlos. He was GREAT! If we had not already had the unfortunate experience with a timeshare, we may have made a purchase. The resort was beautiful. The main complaint that would keep us from returning to this resort was the no pressure "pressure" sales tactics. Carlos had us saying that we would like to visit the resort on a return trip, but then another guy came in and tried to sell us a repo. Again we said no. As they were walking us out, we met with a "developer representative" who offered us an even sweeter deal. The "no pressure" became full-on pressure and it was irritating. So much for Grayline saying that it was just a tour and breakfast. That was an outright lie. The resort redeemed itself with the spa. It was amazing! Liza and Jonathan were the absolute best! The spa experience made the presentation experience a little less horrible.
