Maintenance was very poor!!
We have been going here for about 10 years, this year was the worst ever for maintenance. Three elevators weren't working, the pools were not heated at all, two hot tubs were barely warm and the other two hot tubs were closed by the city due to an incident where a guest was almost electrocuted. The jacuzzi at the Desert Spa was not working. Lots of maintenance issues. My husband and I got respiratory issues making us think the ventilation and/or A/C are not being maintained. Other guests complained of the same respiratory problems.
Excellent, Would go back!
We stayed at Ville Del Palmar but spent most of our time at Arco. Let me start by saying we trying booking at Villa Del Arco but we’re told the resort was full. I could have booked a room online at the same time we stayed there, which as a timeshare owner is very aggravating! Paid for all inclusive, which we used everyday. We had great food at every meal and excellent service to go with the food. Eduardo took outstanding care of us each day we sat on the beach. He kept out glasses and bellies full. He provides service at the pool bar and beach side and is excellent. Anything we needed he brought us....kept the beer cold, very friendly and helped tutor my Spanish. We had the breakfast buffet everyday at El Patron. Fernando, and his team, Samuel and Gloria greeted us each day with smiles and provided excellent service. Angelina made us quesadillas every morning, make sure to try the chicken tinga. Fernando made sure we had everything we needed each morning. Service was outstanding. Had dinner one night at Neptune. The chef introduced himself and explained his pairings for flavor and the food was great! Service was very good here as well. Overall we had very good food at each meal with several employees making our stay exceptional. Service was above our expectations and we enjoyed all the staff we met. We will be back and hope to see our favorite employees soon.
Great service, best spa
This is my second time staying at Villa del Arco, but my family has been several times because they are elite members of the resort. The service by all the staff is the best. Jorge is a pool concierge that has been working there for 11 years and treats you like family. Rodrigo runs activities like the pool volleyball. My husband's wedding ring accidentally feel off into the pool! Rodrigo help him find it. The spa is the best spa I've ever been to. It's work going early to enjoy the hot tubs, sauna, steam rooms. The showers are stocked with the desert spa products that smell amazing. The restaurants are all very good too.
39th Wedding Anniversary Trip to Villa Del Arco
We have been members of the Villa group since 2013. This is the first time that we have been very disappointed! The swimming pools were Very cold, we found out the heaters have been broke for awhile and they don't know when they'll have them fixed. Two hot tubs were closed completely. The only other 2 hot tubs were lukewarm so all the toddler's and kids were swimming in them because pools were cold, they were crowded with toys and squirt guns. Never went swimming or got in the hot tubs this trip!! Also several elevators were not working. This is not a small timeshare group and they should have a plan in place to deal quickly with maintenance problems that will and do arise. The positive was the staff and restaurants were excellent as always.
Service and Cleanliness is Unbeatable
The food and the service was incomparable. We have been at Villa del Arco Cabo San Lucas two other times with the same family members (four couples) and the service was great the other two times but this time we felt the food and service was even better. Lety at the pool stands out. She took care of us and was a delightful member of our group. Fitz and Ramon at the South American Grill -- we could not say enough about them and the food there. It was outstanding. We ate there twice because we were so impressed and loved every minute of it. Fernando, Samuel, Caloria at El Patron -- you made our breakfast every morning delightful and made us feel so special. Thank you. Yushef at El Patron, our dinner there was so wonderful -- thanks to you. Our room could not have been nicer or cleaner and we loved everything about it. The swans were so appreciated. I do have to mention some disappointments in facilities management. The pool we have grown to love the most over the other times we've visited and bragged about to others about coming here about -- was cold, cold, cold with a broken pool heater that had been apparently been broken for some time and was to be broken for some additional time. The other pools just aren't the same. Major disappointment. We didn't swim much and looked forward to that so much. The hot tubs/jacuzzis were closed for maintenance the whole time and this was again a major disappointment for a vacation we looked forward to a long time. We traveled with a mobility impaired person who counted on the elevators but we never had the same elevator working for us twice in a row. We would go to the elevator, find it non-working, go to another elevator and use that one. Then, the next time, that elevator would not be working and we'd go to another elevator and find that not to be working and so on. Very frustrating and perhaps management could solve these issues.
