What can I say about this place other than wow. From the moment you arrive you are treated with 5 star treatment. There is every cocktail that you can imagine on the various menus. The food in the different restaurants is amazing and it is lovely to select what you want from the menu and it not having to be a scramble to the buffets. The place itself is stunning and is set in amazing grounds. You can even have your bed turned down every night. All the staff are so pleasant and helpful. If you want to experience 5 star experience and be well and truly spoiled this is the place for you

Experience at Valentine was good. We were disappointed the normal buffet was under construction, the temporary buffet was underwhelming but understand the construction will bring things back better than before. Also felt like the pool temperature was like bath water, not sure if that's normal for this time of year but this was my in-laws 6th time to Valentin and those two things were very out of the norm from their experience at the resort.

The most amazing Resort.
We just visited in early September 2024 and it was amazing as always - this was our 3rd visit in 3 years - and planning on many more trips in the future. Happy to see Dora - she sat with us, remembered us from previous visits. She is just a breathe of fresh air. Love VIM and we love Dora.

Great time at VIM!
Second trip to Valentin and it was great! Staff was amazing as always. Genaro took care of our room and always had a smile on his face when he saw us in the building. Food, drinks & entertainment were amazing! Great job Go-Team, Adrian, Carlos and of course Sexy Lorenzo!

Sep 30, 2024Not happy with the Valentin Imperial Maya, September 2024
My wife and I had reservations for the Valentin Imperial Maya resort for the period of September 10-18, 2024; we had a Junior Suite, Building # 5. After a late arrival, we discovered on the second day that the beach was not like the photos shown on their website, or any other website. The beach was essentially all gravels that extended the length of the palapas that were occurred along the length of their beach property. Moreover, the beach contained not only gravels, but management did not even level out the gravely beach so you had to walk up and down the length to the palapas. Not comfortable on bare feet, so you would have to wear water shoes on the beach itself. The gravels extended down from the beach to, and into the water for a distance of 5-6 feet, at least. Since there was no white sand, the water was dark, and not turquoise blue. The second day we spoke with management that we were not happy with the beach situation, and we wanted to switch hotels. Management was not happy about our complaint and refused to refund our money for the remainder of the 9/10-18/2024 week. We would have been fine with paying the 2 night minimum for cancelling but they would not accept our offer. Our travel agent even intervened on our behalf and spoke with the VIM management,but they refused to make the refund. Our recommendation is that if you enjoy a nice white, sandy beach with blue turquoise water, avoid this resort. So, we packed our suitcases and left for the Iberostar Tucan in Playacar, where the beach is always sandy white and the ocean is turquoise blue. That's why we came to the Riviera Maya, for the white sandy beaches and blue turquoise water. You will not find that at the Imperial Maya. Buyer be aware.
