Amazing hotel, highly recommend!
We booked our wedding here and invited family and friends (21 in total), for 10 nights it really was amazing. We've been to barbados 3 times but this was the best hotel by far. I am a fussy eater but there was not one meal I disliked! The food was so good. Choice of food was also very good and always differed each day. The amount of food available throughout the day in between breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing. You could never go hungry, be prepared to put on a few pounds! Drink choice was also fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, we had the ocean view suite, others had just junior but they were just as nice. The hotel staff were just lovely and brilliant. Names that will stick with us are Dan, Jarad, Shanika, Winston and the watersports guys! They were the best! We also had a lovely chat with one of the room cleaners, she gave us a very heartfelt chat on how to keep our marriage alive and it meant a lot to us! I also wanted to say a huge thank you to Sophia our wedding coordinator. She litrally made our dreams come true! She was so professional and did everything just perfectly she was incredible! We were so lucky to have found and released baby turtles! Captain sams nephew was so passionate about them and took the time to tell us all about them. He really is a great guy to care so much! The only constructive critisim we would give is: We booked a table at the Italian restaurant, we found the waiters/waitresses to be a little rude and felt they just wanted to finish up and go. There was absolutly no background music so it was all a little awkward. There was no consistency with the closing times of the sandtrap, its a great place to go all day especially in the evening but on occasions it had been closed in the evening. The keys to the hotel rooms stopped working and we had to walk a long way to reception to get them sorted on quite a few occasions. They are litrally the only quarms we had but didn't affect the fact that the hotel is a great place to stay and we would highly recommend! And we will DEFINATELY be returning!!
I stayed here from the 7th October for a week I have had a fantastic time the staff have been brilliant and polite and helpful the room was clean every day great view overlooking the pool and the beach. The beach is great plenty of excursion for couples and families I would thoroughly recommend it for the October to December not a busy plenty of deck chairs available and plenty of room in the pools. The food and drink great and the average temperature for my stay was 32 degrees
The staff at this hotel work so hard and they were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Special mention to Giselle who was very efficient and helpful and Renaldo from the water sports who was always on hand to move my subbed. It was a very different all inclusive experience for us but there was variety and always excellently crooked. My only gripe would be the birds in the morning at breakfast. It was very off putting with them flying around and dropping Poo on chairs. Apart from that a lovely place on the beach.
WiFi ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS. UNABLE TO CONTACT FAMILY FROM THE HOTEL THROUGHOUT MY WHOLE STAY!!!
The hotel itself was okay. The main problem for me was the Wi-Fi. I needed to keep in touch with family at home due to illness but the Wi-Fi is virtually non-existent. It is so bad it really shouldn’t be advertised as a feature. Sadly I now see other reviews reporting this. I wish I’d have seen them before I booked. This is really not acceptable in the 21st Century. Get your act together Turtle Beach! It’s not difficult!
Had the most wonderful week at Turtle Beach. The food and drinks were fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful and we got to enjoy all the amenities of not only here but also the sister hotels of crystal cove and waves when we booked a day to visit them (took bus up and taxi back). Also met other guests and enjoyed socialising, there's nothing quite like drinking cocktails whilst relaxing and chatting in the beautiful pools! One thing we noted was how how accessible Turtle Beach was there were many wheelchair users and and mobility restricted guess who had add easy access around the resort whichis something which can be quite difficult at other Caribbean resorts. I would definitely recommend Turtle Beach Resort.
