Quality view, pool, live music, and dining. I recommend it, would book again. Movies are free and plenty of activities. Bring your camera and you can get some great shots. The night view is better than my camera can capture
Top Notch Turtle
Outstanding! This was the 4th time that we stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort, and we were pleased each time. Due to some health issues we were not able to enjoy some of the special activities, but we still enjoyed our time around the cove and pools. We highly recommend this resort to anyone who visits Oahu and the North Shore.
Our family of 5 enjoyed a stay in a family suite in the main building. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The facilities at the resort were great. We enjoyed snorkeling, surfing and relaxing by the pool. The location is great for experiencing the North Shore. Our only negative was an issue which was out of control of the resort (a busted water pipe) however the staff did an amazing job of keeping guests updated and comfortable while repairs were made. I’m looking forward to returning to enjoy the championship golf courses on my next visit.
Amazing property and location! But customer service could be better.
We had a wonderful relaxing time at Turtle Bay Resort. The location is unbelievable. We drove up and down the coast and nothing beat it. Being able to walk from the room to the beach or pool was perfect. The Palmer golf course was in amazing condition and was a blast to play. Biggest disappointments were that we were celebrating our anniversary and "babymoon" for our first kid on the way, and the resort did not acknowledge our special occasion until checkout. Generally, resorts/hotels we've visited give complimentary room upgrades or some sort of complimentary room service for the special occasion, but the resort did not do anything of the sort. Also, we didn't find out until arrival that one of the two golf courses was closed for our entire stay, and I had purchased the 3-day unlimited golf package but received no discounted rate even though half of the facility was closed and unavailable for unlimited play. Other than those two things, we'd definitely come back. The room was great, the views from the balcony were awesome (with the exceptions of the roof of the building of the conference center that blocks the western ocean view from floors 2-3. Just be aware).
Front desk staff treats guests poorly
I am 8 months pregnant and found mold in my room. I had to call my doctor and his advice was for me to leave immediately. Also, on a day when I had misplaced my key, when I went to the front desk to ask for a replacement (I had already been checked in for 3 days) they had me wait in line behind 5 other guests who were checking in. My friend waited in the line for the Villa's bc it was shorter- and when she came up next, they made her wait in the "general" line... all to get a key. It was unbelievable the behavior of the front desk. The manager on call that day was Kai. He did try to make the situation better, but I still wouldn't recommend Turtle Bay to any of my family or friends. Too bad too, bc we come to the Hawaiian Islands at least twice a year.
