Our group of 83 people recently had the best team-building event we’ve had in years! The customer service, the resort itself, and the wide variety of amenities were absolutely amazing—there’s truly something for everyone. The personal butler service was the cherry on top, making our stay even more special. A huge thank you to Gorethy, Jesus, and the entire TRS staff for making our trip so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

The most underwhelming stay ever. We stayed in the swim up room, the room is absolutely gorgeous, we did request a specific South facing room in advance but this was ignored and on the day we asked again and were declined- unless we wanted to pay £££ for a different room ( still not South facing just closer to the main pool) So the room is gorgeous however, majority of them never get sun, so the swim up pool is very cold. Considering the resort is adults only I was expecting a much more chill vibe- the main pool is full of people shouting and playing personal music on speakers and just being generally obnoxious. The first day we ordered pool snacks and they were poor dry fish tacos in half stale taco shells, a bone dry frozen burger and cold fries. The butlers in WhatsApp were helpful enough but kind of pointless? They did help with booking our meals for us but not a lot else. The first night we went to gaucho and this was probably the best place but still very mediocre, luke warm sides, the steak was OK. The 2nd day we went to capricios for breakfast and la boheme for dinner, the French soup in la boheme was amazing but the mains were again poor, I got beef stroganoff which was dry bits of steak with a lukewarm sauce topped over it. The next day I was severely sick, like more sick than I've ever been in my life, I couldn't keep fluids down and began to become dehydrated. During this day we informed the butlers that i was very unwell and unfortunately had to cancel our chic reservation and requested additional water for many hours, and was ignored by both the butlers and cleaning staff. I was on the Verge of becoming seriously dehydrated and they could not even provide additonal water in a timely manner. The next day I was able to go out and at all of the restaurants I requested bottled water and no one could provide this at any of the restaurants- they said we had to go to the main lobby to source our own. We actually went to one of the the grand palladium buffet style restaurants this day and the food was much better quality, freshly prepared and hot. This evening we went to the Mediterranean restaurant helios and it was the worst yet. The food was COLD and had a film over the top like it had been left for a while, I informed the waiter that my soup was cold and he rolled his eyes at me and abruptly took the soup away, the pasta was cold and had a film on and a watery sauce. And the desert was a chocolate mousse... see the picture. The "mousse" was like a dry sponge... By this point I was so worried about what to eat after being sick and seeing the standard I went to bed hungry. We tried capricos again in the morning and were greeted with half raw croissants and warm raw fish. None of the staff wear gloves when around or preparing food. The mini fridge was rarely stocked up, the bed sheets were not once changed during our stay. We were supposed to get a welcome bottle of wine and fruit platter, which we had to chase up on day 3, and we were given a plastic plate of whole fruits that the butler kindly touched every single piece of fruit with his bare hands. On our last day we waited for our bus arranged by the hotel for over half an hour after the planned pick up time, and then he almost left without even calling for us despite us sat outside waiting for him. Overall the service and the food was massively lacking, and was not the 5 star service we expected and paid for.

The TRS Coral is a 5-star resort that other 5-star resorts should emulate. There were some hiccups along the way that were delt with immediately. The service was the best I have experienced, our butlers Fernanda, Lupita and Maggie where wonderful, they couldn’t do enough. I must mention Night Manager David for all his help, almost nightly. On the other hand, Expedia is trash and should be set on fire and burn to the ground. Expedia abandoned my wife and I at the Cancun airport. If you've ever been to Cancun Airport, you collect your bags, keep your head down through the timeshare gauntlet and walk outside to your travel provider representative who points you to awaiting transportation, not with Expedia, there is no rep at the airport and none at the resort. We were left to the mercy of a “local cab” who charged $281.00(CAN) to ferry us to TRS Coral and then another $105.00(USD) to return to the airport for our return flight.

Nice adults only resort
The rooms are clean. The service was good. For an all inclusive, the food was decent, although the French restaurant needs some improvement in the quality of the food. The beach and pool were clean and wonderful. The massage at the spa was wonderful, but the temperature of the large hydrotherapy pool was way too cold.
