Not you average Westin
While the rooms were not as bad as the previous reviews suggested there are many areas of opportunity for this property. The staff is friendly and the hotel is beautiful but the location is horrible. This is not really the main hotel area. I suggest going to their sister property. The food at all of the restaurants was disgusting so I do feel like wasted money on that play part but other then that it’s ok. This is a good option only if you can find NOTHING else .
My family and I love staying here. Very tranquil, service is beyond wonderful, everyone is very attentive specially Jonathan from the pool side restaurant bar.. The store by the pool is perfect, the clerk in the store was extremely helpful went beyond to help me find what I needed. Definitely will come back again..
Very good holiday experience
Just visited this hotel with my family. As a titanium Bon Voy member you get lots of benefits. Special checking in place. Access to the club, happy hour with drinks and food. The gym is really nice and the food is also very good. Prices are OK considering that you are staying in a hotel. The room had a beautiful view but the furniture was somewhat outdated. They are working on updating the rooms. I would certainly consider to go back. Thanks to all of the staff and especially Rene from the sports bar.
A Complete Hassle of a Vacation -- Do Not Book with Marriott Vacations
We booked our trip through Vacations by Marriott because we trusted the Marriott brand. We hoped booking through the Vacations by Marriott website would guarantee a no-hassle stay. Unfortunately, we were treated horribly by the Westin hotel since our room was prepaid. Even more so, we were told we were Expedia customers, and that they could not or were not willing to assist us. It even states Expedia customer on our final bill. On 07/21, we arrived at the Westin hotel. We were told our room was not ready. We waited until after 6 pm to check-in. The Westin made no attempt to even accommodate our room reservation. We had reserved a room with two double beds. We were traveling with teenagers. Instead, the Westin hotel put us in a king bed. When we pointed out that we had reserved a room with 2 double beds, they offered us one rolling bed which left us sleeping with our 15-year-old teenage boy. The next morning, I complained again about the room. The front desk did not have a room available to move us. Finally, at 3 pm on 7/22, we checked out of this hotel. We moved to a resort down the road that would accommodate us with two double beds. We basically lost two days of our vacation having to deal with this hotel. When we complained to Vacations by Marriott, all they were able to do was get a refund for the unspent nights at the Westin. They didn't seem to care that the night we stayed at this hotel was in the complete wrong room type and the inconvenience this caused us. Beware!
Nice quiet resort
We stayed here for 3 nights before heading off on a driving tour. Although we were ‘upgraded’ I think we ended up in a room that needed refurbishment. However, the room was and bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The service from every member of staff was excellent. The food in the main bars / restaurant got a bit repetitive, but was good quality. The food in Seas and Stones was very good, but expensive. Our kids enjoyed the pools and beach.
