Incredible Family Vacation at the Westin Reserva Conchal
Our family had an unforgettable time at the Westin Reserva Conchal. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the beauty of Costa Rica and the warmth of the staff. There was so much to do each day, and the experience exceeded every expectation we had. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch buffets daily, filled with delicious local dishes that quickly became our favorites. The fresh juice drinks were a refreshing and unexpected highlight, and the Costa Rican coffee was the best we have ever had. I especially appreciated the coffee tasting class, which provided great insight into the history, harvesting, and flavor profiles of Costa Rican coffee. It was both memorable and educational. One of the best parts of our trip was the environmental bike ride with Brian from the event staff. He brought so much energy and enthusiasm everywhere he went, and his positivity was truly contagious. The entire event team was outstanding in making sure everyone felt included and had fun. The daily water polo games were a family favorite. My wife especially loved the peaceful morning yoga sessions, made even more special by the monkeys playing in the bunion trees above. Eduardo led yoga with a calm and welcoming presence that made each session relaxing and enjoyable. Another standout was the staff member who worked in both the Metro Market and one of the restaurants. He always remembered us, took the time to talk with our family, and made every meal feel special. Each evening, we ended the day at Bar Imperial, where Carlos Obregón, Enrique, and Eduardo provided exceptional service. They remembered our drinks and always took care of us quickly with a warm, friendly attitude. The wildlife around the property was incredible. We saw howler monkeys, iguanas, lizards, many species of birds, coati, and even a variegated squirrel. The natural surroundings made the entire experience feel magical. The Westin Reserva Conchal gave us the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and connection to nature. We are already looking forward to returning.

Marriott level, not so sure?
We (family with kids) have stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels and I have to stay this one is an average rating. Location on beach, staff and food were great, however the rooms (vomit stain on floor and some sort of bodily fluid on headboard of bed) and pool area need some updating, cleaning and maintenance.

Fantastic Property
The Westin is a beautiful property with many wonderful restaurants. Shuttle service is great, whether to-and-from the airport around the property. Beach is lovely with many nice vendors. Eric G is the go-to for any adventure or excursions. Find him on the beach in a blue shirt. Don’t miss breakfast either at Mitra or room service. Third time at this property and already wanting to comeback! Love it

Wonderful resort, great excursions! Can't wait to go back!
This is a truly beautiful resort in a beautiful country! Plenty for everyone in the family to enjoy. The view from our room was a breath-taking combination of beach and jungle. The beach itself is pristine and feels very private. The service staff is friendly and professional. Everything you would expect from a top-notch Marriott property. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed sampling some local dishes. The only criticism I can offer is that food and beverage prices are very high on the resort. I highly recommend dining off property when possible as there are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area. We particularly enjoyed dinner with a fire dance show at Portofino in Tamarindo. We took several great excursions. Our tour organizer was Erik Garcia (we found him through Trip Advisor and Google) and he did a great job setting up snorkeling, jungle and river tours, and a zip line excursion for us. Our driver, Fernando, was also wonderful! We will definitely visit Costa Rica again and would highly recommend the W and Erik!

Wonderful stay!
This resort is wonderful - beautiful surroundings, great food (so many options!), so much to do and excellent staff! Javier at the Club pool is THE BEST - make sure you find him! Also a shout out to Greavin and Bergin - always there when you need a ride, a recommendation, a zip line tour or anything else! Also a thank you to sweet Juan at the Faisanella restaurant who had French toast special made for me! We loved how the employees learn your name, remember what you like and do everything they can to make you feel special. Would definitely recommend this resort!
