Sep 30, 2024What a fantastic place for kids - Shirlando is the BEST!
We stayed 4 nights at the Westin on Seven Mile Beach and had a phenomenal time although we had 2 rainy days. My sister and I travelled with our kids, ages 13, 10, 7 and 4), and our parents. Food and drinks - restaurants and bars were great good food and convenient. Many options outside the resort as well. Fun for kids - SHIRLANDO who ran the kids activities was a DREAM! Kids of all ages loved everything he had scheduled for them. He is ULTRA patient and attentive with the kids. The kids could not get enough of him. He made this vacation for the kids and for us tired moms! The beach - absolutely stunning, water was warm. We typically stay at the Ritz during spring break. What I loved about the Westin is how small the resort is compared to the Ritz. During the off-season, I would choose the Westin again over the Ritz as being at a smaller property with the kids gave the kids more freedom to move around. During busy seasons, we will continue to choose the Ritz as the pool is much smaller and finding a chair will likely be challenging. SHIRLANDO, THANK YOU!

The location and beach were amazing. Lots of great food around. The water was beautiful. The staff was mixed with attentiveness. Some were great. The “beach ambassadors” were rarely attentive and almost annoyed when asking for things. Resort food was good but yes, it’s pricey. So read menus before you go. Easy trip from the airport. Spa was lovely and one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Spa staff was very good! Overall we’d stay here again but I was less than impressed with some of the beach staff.

Westin was definitely Worth the Visit
The hotel was great. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beach and water was absolutely beautiful. Service was very good. We especially liked the pool with a swim up bar. They had a market to get snacks and coffee. At night they had live music which was really fun.

Miss it already !!
Hotel was beautiful. Kadeen was the concierge who we met the first day. He went above and beyond to help us while we were there . He told us how to take buses, where to eat and the best places to go. We would look for him everyday during our stay! Thank you Kadeen for all your help!

Highly recommend the Woto restaurant. Many options and delicious seafood. Our server, Sunny, was exceptional. One person wanted to order from somewhere else and he made it happen. He was pleasant, efficient, and overall great server. Not pleased with the front staff. Difficult to get any answers and community about elite membership services.
