The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman offers countless ways to explore the island's famous underwater world. Watersports activities of every kind are offered as well as eco-adventures. When it's time to dry off, head out to the water-laced Blue Tip Golf Course or The Courts to improve your backhand on either clay or grass courts with the coaching of a Bollettieri pro.
Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment program introduces guests to the natural wonders and rich cultural traditions of the Cayman Islands. Throughout these unique eco-tours, the island's ecological resources become a natural classroom and living laboratory in which adults, families, and kids learn while having so much fun, they'll never imagine it's educational. Through exploration and active study, Ambassadors have meaningful experiences that imbue them with a deep appreciation and respect for nature. At the heart of these Grand Cayman eco-tours are four principles: everything is connected, there is no waste in nature, everything runs on energy, and biodiversity is good.

Top of the line Resort
We stayed here for 5 days for our 10 year anniversary. It was the nicest Ritz experience we have ever had, even by Ritz standards. Not a single drink or meal was less than perfect, the staff was extremely friendly and waited on your every request. It is dead center on 7-mile beach giving it the best location. It is surprisingly very kid-friendly if you can afford it. Overall just a spectacular experience. Only negatives I would point out are: -food and drink are extremely expensive on the resort and they charge $85USD daily resort fee which is a little steep even for resort fees. -the pool was too hot, it wasnt even enjoyable. The ocean was the perfect place to cool off. They have a giant, extremely awesome pool but it wasnt able to cool you off. -the outside beach bar and pool close at 8pm so you have to go inside or to the Westin next door for night life, cocktails after dinner.
I just spent a week with my family at this resort, and can’t say enough good things about the service. Everyone we dealt with was terrific, particularly with my young child. The restaurants, while quite expensive, were also generally excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the cocktails at the Silver Palm bar. I do have a couple of quibbles, of course. Thanks to the very strong August sun, the pools were always too warm to provide any real relief from the heat, and probably for that reason were largely empty most of the time. I recognize there may be limited options for addressing that problem, but travelers with pool-crazy young children should be aware. Second, a play room geared toward younger children would be a nice addition. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend the Ritz.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very spacious and the service was spectacular. The staff always greeted us by name, and introduced themselves as well. We stayed in the resort tower. At first, I was wishing that we were in the ocean tower, but we were in our room so little that it didn’t matter. Plus they have a great art gallery in the walkway that connects the towers. We ate dinner at Taikun one night, which was really good. Portions are big, so my wife and I split an entree. Most days we ate lunch at Bar Jack’s. Not great food, but convenient when we were at the beach. We also ate lunch one day at Andiamo, and were pleased with their food. We didn’t do the breakfast buffet at Seven, but ordered a la carte instead. That saved us quite a bit of money. The beach was beautiful, but you’ll need to get there close to 7:00am to get front row seats!
Spectacular (but pricey)
Just returned from 8 days/7 nights. The property is amazing, and the beach is the best I've ever experienced. Smooth sand and clear, turquoise water. Perfect for beach relaxation. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.Special thanks to Ingrid in housekeeping, Dinesh at the breakfast buffet at Seven, and the daily hostess at Seven (whose name I didn't get). A great fitness center (and the attendant there was very helpful). Food is expensive and good (but not great). Add-ons are everywhere, from a tourist tax of $50+ per day, a "service fee" of $41 per day, a resort fee of $80 per day, and automatic 17% fee/gratuity on all purchases. We went off-property for dinners and saved a little money. NOTE: Pretty much every restaurant in the area has the same menu choices, so not recommended for foodies. Once you resolve yourself to the big expense, this property is enjoyable. Paddle boards and kayaks are included in the resort fee, and the waves are calm enough to enjoy both. The jet ski rental was worth doing. Overall, this property is great for beach time and relaxation, but other activities on the island didn't seem appealing (especially for the cost). We will probably continue to go to Mexico for our longer beach getaways, but we'd consider returning to the Ritz GC for a luxurious beach trip.
Excellent Vacation and Honeymoon
Had a spectacular stay at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. Possibly our best stay at a hotel yet. All staff from check in to check out were absolutely flawless with regards to hospitality and service. Rooms were very well kept, amenities were always provided and renewed daily. Food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal. Blue by Eric Ripert was an absolutely amazing dining experience. Beach is spotless with many amenities provided. Grounds are beautifully kept and pools were extremely well maintained. The Spa is a must visit and provides the best service I've experienced to date. All in all its a Great Hotel with Great customer service.
