Exactly what you expect
We got displaced at the Hyatt for 1 night due to over booking and the Hyatt put us up at the Ritz. When we checked in, the people were aware we were staying only 1 night on Hyatt credit and we were still treated very nicely. Traveling as a family of 4, we needed a double queen room. They gave us a single king room. When they realized the mistake we got upgraded to an ocean view room. We've stayed at the Ritz before in Maui and I thought the service here in Aruba was superior to the Ritz in Maui. Whats so nice about staying at the Ritz, is that the people who work there always try greeting you by your surname. Good morning Mr.... A little gesture like that puts you in a good mood for the day. The room was large with double sinks and the beds were comfy. The only downsides were the distant location and the small pools. Although I view these 2 things as negatives, some may not care or even think of them as positives. The Ritz is the last hotel on the strip, so it's fairly remote. I didn't like that because it was too far to walk to the restaurants and shops. Too some they may appreciate the fact they are remote and that it offers more peace and quiet. So I also thought the pools were too small for a hotel this size... The upside is that there are fewer screaming kids. If I were traveling with just my wife and wanted a romantic Vaca, the small pool would not be a downside. The remoteness and small pools seem to be a trend in the Ritzs, since the Ritz in Maui is also remotely located and the pools was not a coveted feature. Overall my 1 night stay here was very enjoyable and definitely of Ritz quality and expectations.
Bait and switch!!! Never been so disappointed in the ritz
I have stayed at many ritz Carlton properties and spent thousands as of dollars on stays. From vail to laguna beach we have always enjoyed the I wanted 2 rooms and was told there was a special for the rooms. She gave me a price, I gave her my card to process the hold. She also said we would get a resort credit daily since we were repeat customers. After I gave all the info she read the statement for the policies and the price was literally doubled. When I told her she gave me another price she said the system “changed” and now it’s a new price. I asked how that could be and she said she does not know and too bad there is nothing she will do. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that “none was available”. I’m a member of the rewards program and have always enjoyed the service from the ritz but this is bait and switch if I’ve ever seen it. I’ve never been so rudely treated and treated so poorly. Needless to say my family is completely disappointed and the ritz may have lost a loyal member. We are extremely dissatisfied in the service we received. How can there be no manager available? I look forward to being contacted. Bait and switch can be the only word to describe what happened to me and my family. Mr. Hoffman

This was our 4th year in a row at the Ritz in Aruba. It’s THAT good and my husband and I are pretty hard to please. The service is absolutely unmatched. We love to hang out at the pool or the beach all day and let me tell you, we never want for a thing. They are on top of it ALWAYS. Gregory is among most amazing servers we’ve ever seen. We never had an empty glass and he helped arrange a surprise my husband had planned for me. It is like he is part of our family. I say the same about Pool staffers Mitchell and Eric, who were out there at 7:00am every morning preparing our loungers for us in the spots they know we liked. When we get down there after our workout they always greet us by name with a pleasant smile and a specific will to ensure we have a wonderful day and have everything we need. I am on the ketogenic diet so I can’t have any sugar. Imagine how difficult it is to enjoy a drink without guilt! Anyway I brought my own sugar free simple syrup and a couple other things to substitute for their syrups and liqueurs. The bartenders were amazing. Every rime we’d sit down at one of the bars the bartenders greeted us by name. No matter where I ordered a drink - the bars, restaurants, coffee shop, around the pool- they never failed to make the drinks how I needed them with my substitutions I brought and they did it with a smile. Always. The rooms are pristine; spacious and very clean. There isn’t a room with a bad view in the entire hotel and anything you ask for, you have in a heartbeat. We will be going again next year. We love it and HIGHLY recommend it.
MADERO POOL & BEACH GRILL- Shout out to Eduardo and Joshua!
This restaurant is at the Ritz pool & Beach. The food is great especially if you like spicy food. The drinks are awesome and the service is good. Our waiter and Cabana helper Joshua and Eduardo were FANTASTIC. They were kind to our kids and extremely polite and sweet. Thank you guys for making our vacation AMAZING!!!!

My family spent 10 days at the Ritz Carlton Aruba, our first time at the island. The staff was fabulous! Friendly, attentive and courteous! Ely, our server on the beach, was truly the best!! She took excellent care of us each day and made us feel special. The beach at the Ritz was not over crowded like many others nearby. Food was also excellent!
