Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property has an all-natural ambiance with bamboo swim-up bar and treehouse style rooms. Cozy Adult Only on a budget but....
Cozy adult only but for a smaller resort they could do more. Positives: jungle like resort surrounded by nature, tree house rooms are cute, nice friendly staff, AC in rooms, clean beach with beach bar and grill, message treatment was okay, bacon at breakfast was legit. Negatives: fighting every day for a clean beach towel (you are given one in your room when you check in and if you want a clean one you have to find someone and/or wait for clean ones to come out), no top-shelf liquor anywhere, buffet option is outdoor seating (no AC) and the birds and bugs like to eat the buffet food as well, there is only one restaurant that you have to book a reservation for (do this prior to arrival), resort not on the beach (a plus and a minus), beds are about 12 inches off the floor and not comfortable (pain in the rear for older travelers to get into and out of bed), small pool that is very poorly kept clean (understand that you are in a jungle setting but when the pool man complains in front of customers that he hates his job and half-ass cleans the pool in the morning and does not follow up it is a turn off). This place is okay if you are looking for an adult only, all-inclusive on a budget but there are probably a lot better options out there. Would I go back, maybe but I think I'll try my luck with Sandals or an Excellence resort.
This place is top notch. It is absolutely amazing, I would recommend this to anyone. Vanessa in the gift shop excellent. Me and my Wife got couples massages from Brenda and Novlett. We had 2 concierge Daniela and Sherice. The coffee shop featured Paula Myrie and Shaun Johnson Barrett. My 2 favorite coffee makers. And the grounds keepers were wonderful Lynford and Daniel. They kept the grounds spotless. Admittedly one of my best vacation experiences ever.
Perfect in every sense
We love staying at Sunset at the Palms. This was our third trip to this wonderful resort. From the treehouse rooms to the fantastic food, everything was great. The grounds are like stepping into a garden full of lush green and flowers. The beach is beautiful and pristine. However what makes Sunset at the Palms the best are the wonderful staff who care about every aspect of your stay. I cannot wait to return.
Fantastic, unique hotel with amazing staff
Just returned from two weeks at sunset, loved every minute. Really unique resort, with great staff and fantastic food. I know some of the negative comments on the road you have to cross may put some people off, but please, ignore these as it's only a short walk to the beach and the crossing guards are really lovely and always look after you. We met loads of people that have been there time after time, and having now visited, we can't wait to go back next year.
We enjoyed staying at Sunset at the Palms so much that this will be our place to stay everytime! Laid back and very relaxing. This is the perfect atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating and super friendly. Beach is beautiful and it is so nice they don't leave their chairs all in a row, but instead ask you where you want to be and get them out for you when you get there. Food was fabulous and also the drinks! Housekeeping was the best! They are so on top of things and never had to ask for anything extra! It was all there! The rooms are the best! Not your typical hotel. Absoluetly loved everything about it!
