Thanks to the staff at suncape for wonderful time, accommodation was great, customer services on point. Special thanks to Mr Brain West very courteous, professional and friendly his courtesy calls made my stay felt like home away from home. The food can be improve everyday was the same thing..... looking forward for next stay with the family.
We stayed here 5 years ago when it was Sunset beach resorts so we knew kinda what to expect. This is a 3.5-4 star resort. For the price I paid, definitely a 4. Food was pretty good, always something to eat. I was always able to get jerk chicken at least once per day. An improvement is the free ice cream and coffee. No issues at the buffet. Saw a bird land on a cheese tray and they immediately removed it. Also saw someone checking food temps. Omelet and pasta stations were fabulous. Always a place to sit looking at the ocean. Lazy river nice for kids and adults. Need more tubes! Very disappointed that the hot tubs were out of order. Several other pools, one is adults only with swim up bar. Paper straws available. Drinks good but not spectacular depending on the bar tender. Juan at bar bar near the entertainment area was great. If you want more rum in your drink, just ask! Beach is the biggest drawback. It’s a bit rocky, and sea grass is really approaching the shore. But it is warm and my son had fun in it. Maybe wear water shoes although we didn’t. Sun loungers always available but need high pressure washed to remove some mold/dirt. They pressure washed the pool decks in the mornings. Rooms were clean. Mini fridge stocked with some drinks daily. Lobby clean. Friendly staff. They work really hard, tip them! Even just $1. They always say thank you and mean it. I didn’t fell like anyone ever looked at me expecting a tip, they actually seemed surprised and grateful when I gave them one. So overall for a good deal I would definitely I would definitely return.
Average at best
Low grade liquors, average food, Only 1 of 3 rest. is open for dinner plus buffet, not many smiles or well coming attitudes, consierge only concerned with you spending money, check in tries to sell up
Less than expected
While the UVC/Hotel staff were fantastic, the resort itself is not quite up to the 4 star rating the are given online. This is more of a 3 star resort. The rooms are outdated to say the least. The bed was hard and you could feel the springs coming through the mattress. The walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING!! There were multiple times where the fire alarm would go off throughout the day and night for no reason. The first time it went off, we called the front desk to see what was going on and what we should do. They just stated that someone was probably in the shower and the steam set it off and there was no concern. It got to the point where you just completely ignored the alarms because they went off so often. There are 4/5 restaurants onsite. One doubles as a different restaurant at night. Multiple times there were only two open to choose from. One of them being the buffet so your choices were limited. They would shut down one or two every night so you never really had a decent selection. There was no room service offered at this all inclusive resort so in order to get something after hours, you had to go get it yourself which isn't terrible but the option would be nice. This goes the same for breakfast. No breakfast in bed or even the option to have coffee delivered to help start the day. The entertainment wasn't what I've seen and experienced at other resorts. I've seen far better elsewhere. We took our son and his girlfriend there for a graduation gift and were disappointed by what we experienced compared to other resorts we have stayed at.
