Feb 17, 2025J'adore le Staff, my god ,people there are so gentle and fun
The Staff is incredibly gentle and respectful,I had fun with the Boss Ricardo and all the staff everyone is happy to work there, there's a good energy of peacefulness and it's the perfect place too disconnected for vacation... Voy a hacer des madre !!!!

Feb 16, 2025Better than expected. Highly recommend.
Our expectations were set low based on many previous reviews but within just a few days we determined that either those reviews were trolls or simply written by grumpy people who are just never satisfied. We have travelled to many different resorts over the years (most of them 4.5 or 5 stars) and can definitely say that we have absolutely zero complaints about this place. It is true that the hotel is dated and does need a fair bit of updating, but everything else is top notch. The staff were all very kind, helpful and attentive, and even though the choice of restaurants is limited, the menus varied almost every day and the quality of the food was as good as most anywhere else we’ve been - delicious in fact! The beach is beautiful although quite rocky just as you enter the ocean so water shoes are highly recommended, but the snorkelling is great which makes up for it. One thing to note is that while this resort only has two restaurants open at a time, guests from the two resorts on either side (Secrets and Dreams) are allowed to come and eat here and also use our amenities when we are not allowed to use any of theirs, which seems pretty unfair. But that really didn’t make our stay any less enjoyable. Don’t let those bad reviews deter you from coming here. It’s a great place to unwind from the rat race. Be patient and respectful to the staff and they will return the favour. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Feb 16, 2025The Physical builds and rooms are really showing their age.
The resort is really showing its age and we had to change rooms to get away from a defective air conditioner. Our second room the ceiling had a bad patch job with white tape trying to hide a leak from the air conditioner. It was literally falling into the room.

Feb 12, 2025the resort in one word .... Underwhelming
I can describe the resort in one word, Underwhelming Don't get me wrong we were looking for a low cost trip to get out of the snow for a week and that is what we got. The old adage you get what you pay for is 100% true here. The resort is run down and not the cleanest but on a positive note the toilets flushed and there was always hot water for a shower. Like I had read in some of the reviews before I bought the trip, very few food choices but at the same time the food isn't bad at all. Not blow you away good but.... you will not starve. Staff, when not on their phones are friendly. Unless you are an early riser do not plan on having a place to sit for the day. Was out of the room every day by 7 am. The 56 beach chairs would be gone , so to the pool we would go to get a couple of chairs (we counted 24 total). Now like everything in life it comes down to money but if you are a 218 room resort ( according to Hytyet website ) or 128 room resort (according to TripAdvisor) the math doesn't work : 218X2 =436 people (assuming double occupancy ) 56+24= 80 chairs OR 128x2= 256 people still 80 chairs But what do I know ..... They are the ones that own a resort in sunny Mexico and I am back here waste deep in $@#% snow lol Over all we got what we paid for which was a short reprieve from the cold Canadian winter. Go with low expectations and you will enjoy your trip

The resturants could learn from the bars
The bar was very good - much better drinks than in previous experiences of similar hotels. The cafe was also a lovely touch. However, the food was disappointing. None of the specialty restaurants were open whenever we wanted to use them, and this limited an already limited selection for vegetarians.
