St. James's guests have several choices when it's time to refuel. The Docksider is known as much for its panoramic water views and charming nautical dŽcor as its Caribbean-inspired dishes. Thursday evenings feature steel-pan performers who turn up the heat with Caribbean Calypso music. Those who wish to dine in a more tranquil setting may do so at the resort's signature fine-dining restaurant, Piccolo Mondo. For casual dining, the informal Coco Beach Restaurant & Bar offers sea views and a selection of salads, soups, burgers, and pastas.
St. James's Club Resort & Villas has four lounges and bars. The Reef Deck bar beckons adjacent to the main pool. The two beach bars (Mamora Bay Bar and Coco Beach Bar) feature the resort's signature rum punch. A beach cart with soda, beer, rum, and fruit punch also provides refreshments to sun worshippers. The Jacaranda Lounge features nightly entertainment.
Two white-sand beaches offer a host of fun-filled activities. Coco Beach is like an aquarium for snorkelers, while the calm waters of Mamora Bay are ideal for swimming. St. James's Club provides complimentary non-motorized watersports such as kayaking, pedal boating, and catamaran sailing. Tucked into a quiet corner of the The Club area is the Tennis Center, with four hard courts and two artificial turf courts. Four courts are lit for night play.
Guests can also sunbathe, take a dip in six distinctive swimming pools, and succumb to the pleasures of a spa and salon. Spa Tranquility is an expansive and elegantly appointed hideaway for pampering and restorative treatments for the body and skin (fee). The seaside gym has floor-to-ceiling windows looking out at the ocean, providing an inspiring setting for workouts.
Young guests getting restless? The St. James's Club Kidz Club is situated in the heart of the resort overlooking Coco's Beach.

Wonderfull all inclusive resort with great service!
My husband and booked our anniversary trip through interval international June 8-15, we upgraded our room to beachfront and were very happy with the accommodations, our room had a great beach/water view of the Atlantic and a wonderful breeze/wind was present the whole week. Our room was in the "mango" building second floor, but if you wanted first floor , you can walk right onto the beach and swim in the Atlantic! A bottle of Champagne was waiting with a nice note for our celebration.Every room has a small fridge which is great! The food at all the restaurants ( there are 5! 4 are all inclusive, Picco Mondo has $40 pp upcharge.) was great! They have themed dinners, as well as wonderful buffets with water view from all of them, Dockside especially, on the bay side, had sunset views, all are open air. There is a Caribbean beach Party on Thursday, which is a blast! Island BBQ, jerk, Curry, Ribs, and a whole pig! They also have vegetarian options at each meal.A great steel band, Island dance show and DJ will keep you smiling, clapping and dancing. A few notes.. they have a reverse Osmosis system at the resort so you can refill your water bottle anywhere and not worry, we brought Tervis cups so we could hydrate all day. Also, there are posted prices on some of the menus which confused us at first since it was all inclusive, but some people are not on the plan so it does not apply to all inclusive people.Whew! Dress code.. sigh.. we brought collared shirts, and closed toed shoes, boat shoes for my husband per direction, but were sad to see cutoff jeans, ratty t shirts on men and flip flops everywhere. Picolo Mondo has strict dress code apparently ( we didn't go ) and we were surprised that this was not addressed. This is an awesome resort and I would highly recommend it, we will be back!
Overall an excellent experience. We felt well taken care of. I went to kitesurf but the wind was light—should have gone in July. 40kts kiteschool in Nonsuch bay were very helpful for the one day the wind reached 12kts. The property and accommodations are beautiful and completely modern.. The maintenance of the grounds, quality and style of food preparation service is very good. You will gain one lb per day. Piccolo Mondo restaurant is 5 star. Bar service was friendly and high quality. The atmosphere is quiet but not dull. I have been to Sandals on St Lucia and it was much more loud and boisterous. The fitness center is very excellent and well equipped with both free weights and machines. The beaches are nice. I recommend either a road trip to the gulf side of the island or the catamaran cruise to experience the world-class beaches all around the island. Everything was clean everyone was friendly. Antigua itself is close to Utopia. I never felt safer in any locale. There is no graffiti on the entire island. People are universally helpful and open, not just on the resort. About 50% Brit, 40% USA, 10% well behaved kids.
Excellent Service and wonderful food
All inclusive resort with excellent food and great staff. 24 hour coffee shop , lots of pools , nice beach activities. Easy access from the airport. lots of staff to help move luggage and people. Easy walking between venues \
Hotel let down by a small number of staff...
We visited for 10 days at the end of May and I have a mixed review... Good points: fantastic setting, nice beaches, 24hr coffee shop serving great coffee and cake, easy to use family water sports, rooms very clean and tidy, some great members of staff including in the coffee shop, Rainbow Garden, Docker and Eleven restaurants who were fun and brilliant! The food was good quality and menus varied, BUT... Negative points: apart from the above, general service and hospitality levels were lacking... - Front desk staff rude and condescending. - Kids club didn’t run to schedule but we were told that this was because the hotel was not at full capacity, which was not ideal with two very sociable and energetic children. - Beach water sports shack: staff were aggressive, very rude and generally abrupt. Bothering holiday makers to get them free food from the beach counter! - beach ‘tour vendor’ on the pushy side. On the whole we had a great holiday, the hotel was convenient and enjoyable, but a message to the hotel management reading this, that you are being sadly let down by a small number of your staff!
Slice of Paradise
St James is a slice of paradise. The rooms are very comfortable. The all-inclusive food is wonderful with many options to choose from. Dinners rotated each evening with a different theme and each night the food was tasty and very enjoyable. Pearl, our server, was absolutely amazing. She remembered our drink orders and would bring them out as we sat down. The resort had plenty of activities for everyone in the family. The beaches were kept clean of seaweed & the pools were always nice. The water sports area had lots of activities from paddle boats to kayaks to sailboats. The Calypso Cat snorkel tour was amazing. The on-site scuba dive shop was fantastic and very easy to work with. Would highly recommend St James. Also, May is a great month to travel as it’s considered “off-season” and the resort crowds were very small. Only suggestion is to limit smoking to certain areas. We could not use our balcony or leave our patio door open due to our neighbors smoking all the time.
