DON'T COME HERE This hotel is a total Joke! All inclusive that isn't actually all inclusive. They run out of food every-time you ask for something. People are rude besides the guys working up front. Tried to order room service twice today because pizza bar could't keep up and the only restaurant that was supposed to be open during those hours had a private event and was closed this particular day. First time after calling 3 times to get someone on phone they said 45 minutes for our order. We waited an hour and a half then tried calling back and couldn't get through to room service. We ended up leaving the resort to get food because we had to eat! Later that evening we tried to order room service again at 9:30pm. They said "food will be up in a few minutes" two hours went by then I called to cancel cause at that point we just needed to get to bed. Again no answer! I called the front desk and they said we could complain to guest services in the morning. No apology at all! This is a total joke. This isn't a cheap resort and we're being treated like second class. Oh not to mention we have a suite we're the bedroom AC isn't blowing so we have to keep the main room one blasting to help cool the bedroom. We had maintenance come up and said they would try to fix in back room but nothing ever changed. Keep in mind I travel a lot and have stayed at 10-15 all inclusive resorts and this is by far the worst one I've ever been too! DO NOT COME HERE! AWFUl SERVICE, AWFUL FOOD, AWFUL DRINKS, RUDE SERVICE! STAY AWAY!
Our Anniversary Trip
We were just here last week and I will say, I am glad I picked this property. I think I may have found our next favorite spot. The view, the employees, the service was great. Special attention and thanks should be given to: Danel, who brought us over to property and was always attentive when we came through. Sabrina, who is the Asst Front Desk Mgr. Elaine, always with a inviting joyous smile and demeanor. Elisabeth, lobby bar, drinks were great! Lucille, housekeeping, made sure everything was well placed, clean, and neat. There are a couple of more, however, their names escape me at this time. Needless to say, overall, our stay was FANTASTIC. WE’LL BE BACK !!!
Not a 5 star adults only hotel
From the minute we arrived it was like we were from mars no attention to customer service even though we were on our 40th anniversary moved rooms after 2 days partying 20 something people up till 3 am second night swimming in everyone's swim out pools Drunk beyond drunk i was not comfortable calling from desk to complain . restaurants were just ok and if your looking for quiet forget it everything but 2 bars and 1 restaurant are shared with the family sonesta its not like we can visit the other hotel but they can come to our hotel any time day or night we paid for adults only but NOT we have traveled for 35 years never seen such poor customer service or 2 hotels on top of each other like this 5 star no way the lobby bar is the saddest bar i have ever seen and that was the adult section of hotel rooms nothing to write home about. The radisson in toronto was 10 x nicer the toilet barely fit without the door hitting it everytime you opened door just poor design yes i understand the hurricane 1.5 years ago but if your not ready don't open not once did i see lobster for what i paid could have went somewhere where i could have stayed 2-3 weeks and had lobster and martini's i had 1 martini all week (did not have the stuff to make it i was told) just very disappointed in whole experience i thought i was going to top shelf drinks and top food
St. Martin Is Beautiful
Sonesta Ocean Point was very pleasant...Cheryl, Damian, Ricardo and the staff at Azul made the trip wonderful. The Point Restaurant was a true disaster...but I'm told that is because 2 restaurants at the sister (kids allowed) resort created havoc for that portion of the resort. Overall we enjoyed our trip
Originally I booked Sonesta Maho Beach. When I got to the resort, the person checking me in said she has good new and bad news. Long story short I was upgraded to Sonesta Ocean Point which was a few feet away. Beautiful! The room I was in had the most perfect view. The room was clean and up to date. A special shoutout to Danisha. She was awesome from the moment I got to the resort to literally my last minute there. She was able to book us reservations that were completely booked when I tried to do it on my own. She got the room decorated for my birthday. She helped us book an excursion that I was having trouble booking on my own prior to arriving. She was such a sweetheart and so patient and kind! Give that girl a raise please! Esterili and Kalulu was also great! They entertained and made drinks the entire night. Kalulu had a group of us trying new drinks that we may or may not have tried before. I was about to leave the area and ended up staying for a good two hours that's how entertaining he was. The food was decent. There was only one night that I recall it being bland. It was Tuesday for the BBQ but other than that I cannot really complain about the food. There were some bartenders who made better drinks than others, find your favorite and never let them go. They are still rebuilding the resort but it is still beautiful! If I was to visit St. Martin again I would choose to stay here. One thing to keep in mind is that Maho Beach and Ocean point seem to share a few of the restaurants because although the restaurants were on the Ocean Point side there were kids there.
