Our second trip to Secrets Tides didn't disappoint. We were there last year during the same week. Last year I complained about the room without a view-we are UVC members and we were moved across the hall to a room with a pool view as opposed to looking out at dirt. This year again a room without a view-we asked for an upgrade and were told ok tomorrow but that never happened. Not the end of the world realistically UVC members just book the room you want don't expect an upgrade at this facility. The staff is great Edwin and Jose at the pool/beach areas were very attenuative as was Yesica bringing drinks-she was just a sweetheart. Having been to Tides, Breathless, and Onix Punta Cana, we knew what to expect regarding the entertainment-I couldn't force myself to watch another Queen show lol. Tides is a fantastic resort.

Secrets Tides Resort
Secrets Tides Resort was an awesome experience for us. We really enjoyed our beautiful room, it was very cozy, quiet and clean. The customer service was incredible. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Especially Mariana and Jhon from Meraki restaurant, Jennifer, Saintony, Miguel and Sujeidy from the Preferred lounge, Jhonathan and Escarla from Market Cafe. Suni from the spa. The food was incredible. The beach was world class. We will be back to see all of our new friends soon.

Overall worth it. Beds were comfortable. Staff was incredible. Rooms service was on it. The overall cleanliness was great, and beach front was beautiful. Resort was the prefect size, not too big and not too small. They have daily activities such as cigar making which keeps you bust plus shows you the culture of Punta Cana.

Perfect resort for couples
An amazing resort if you are looking for time to relax and rejuvenate. Resort was clean and a great layout. All of the staff were friendly and willing to help. The beach area was breathtaking and there were lots of chairs at the beach and the pool areas.

Great, relaxing resort
Great resort. Very little in the way of negative can be said. Wifi: Great. Beach: beautiful, no seaweed. Staff: PHENOMINAL. Food: Excellent, desserts are just okay. Tons of beach towels, always available from early morning until 5pm. Property and room are both amazing, especially given the young age of the resort. I loved all the water fountains. Mini fridge always restocked daily with a few extras if you leave a tip. Never any pressure in anyway to tip, but I was happy to do so (waiters, bartenders, maid, minibar person). Easy to get into all of the restaurants. Had to wait 15 minutes once, which obviously is fine. Had a drink at the bar while waiting. I love not having reservations. The drive to the property is painless, about 35 - 40 minutes. Easy. The evening shows seemed popular Easy checkin and checkout. No wait at bars. Pools much bigger than pictures portrayed. Best part for me was the quiet pool (I love to relax without loud music). That alone will bring me back to Tides. The pools near the beach much more active if that is what you are looking for. Coco Cafe is better here than other Secrets as they serve ice cream. Staff in that place are amazing. As a Canadian, I was thrilled that the bars served Bloody Caesars. First resort in the DR that I have found that so. Long beaches to walk on, many less vendors than the Bavaro area. High security to leave an re-enter the resort at the beach. Bring you keycard with out as proof that you are a guest. The bed and air conditioning were fantastic. The hotel is great for adults of all ages. I would (and hope) to this resort in a heartbeat.
