Wonderful Vacation!!!
Honestly, I was so nervous about coming because of all the mixed reviews! But my husband and I LOVED our experience! The food was delicious, the service was amazing. The room was one of the nicest hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. We did upgrade to the preferred club junior suite. It has something for everyone. I loved the pools being so close to the beach and ending the afternoon in the hot tub. They do try to sometimes upsell you for a massage or wine, but we just politely declined and it wasn’t a big deal. Also the lobby is stunning and I did not find it warm at all. I asked all the people who we met on our week there, and they all agreed that they did not understand why this place had mixed reviews. We loved being able to get a coffee every morning at the cafe. The staff is incredible! Especially Luis and Nerberto at the pool. And if you like ceviche, definitely go to the Sea Salt Grill for lunch! Truly couldn’t have asked for a better all-inclusive experience. We will be back!

Another great getaway
Staying at Secrets The Vine has become an annual long weekend vacation for us and they never disappoint. The service, food and drinks are consistently fantastic. We had outstanding service from Angel and Roberto at the cabanas which are worth it!! We can't wait to return next year.

Depends on your vibe… not for us!
My boyfriend and I (both 25) came here to celebrate our anniversary. While the resort isn’t bad overall, it wasn’t quite what we were looking for. The crowd and food didn’t align with our preferences, and we would have enjoyed more of a lively, party scene with tastier food options (we are SoCal foodies). They also don’t have a soft serve machine :( That being said, the staff and hospitality were outstanding and definitely the highlight of our stay. The Amstar desk was particularly helpful, and the service throughout the hotel was warm and attentive. The resort mainly caters to an older crowd, with many middle-aged Asian couples. We didn’t participate in any of the activities as they didn’t really catch our interest. I had heard that other resorts in the area attract a younger crowd, but I didn’t think it would be a big deal—if I could rebook, I would consider looking into those options more closely. The music in the common areas seemed to cater to an older crowd, with a lot of classic rock and not much pop, R&B, or reggaeton. The drinks were a bit watered down—even a few drinks didn’t have much effect. The food was decent but didn’t wow us. Our favorite dining experience was at the Market Cafe with its Mexican cuisine and the breakfast buffet, but we were less impressed with the steakhouse, especially considering the long wait (about an hour) even though there were plenty of empty tables inside. A bit frustrating was the fact that the restaurants don’t take reservations, so waiting was always a gamble. As for our room, it was on the 14th floor. While the view was nice, it was a little noisy due to sounds from the hallway, and we could hear the balcony doors creaking and some other random noises. The door to the room was also heavy and difficult to close, which was a minor inconvenience. All in all, the resort offered a pleasant stay, but it didn’t fully match what we were hoping for. If you're looking for a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere with older crowds, it could be a great fit. However, if you’re after a younger vibe with more nightlife and music options, I’d recommend exploring other resorts in the area.

La Mesa de Chef experience with Chef Rolando
The La Mesa de Chef experience with Chef Rolando and Sergio was amazing! Chef Rolando cooked everything in front of us and even taught us how to plate our own plates. This experience is a must try on your trip to Secrets the Vine. We will definitely do it again when we come back!

Tried something new and out of my normal Comfort.
The food from the Sea Salts restaurant and experience there was top notch and the food was absolutely amazing! The chef’s was very professional and gave me a experience I will remember for a lifetime, the rest of the crew were all great and just as professional.
