    We just returned from an absolutely incredible trip to Secrets The Vine in Cancún

    We just returned from an absolutely incredible trip to Secrets The Vine in Cancún — celebrating my birthday AND our wedding anniversary in the most magical way possible! Saying we had a "great time" doesn't even begin to cover it! The property is stunning: sleek, modern luxury with breathtaking ocean and lagoon views from every angle. Our room felt like pure heaven — spacious, elegant, and impossibly relaxing. We indulged in an amazing bubbles tasting (the wine focus here is next-level!), savored some of the most delicious food we've ever had at an all-inclusive, and danced the night away every single evening. The entertainment staff was top-tier — Jose perfected our salsa moves, Aisha was super sweet and even gave us presents, and Diego kept the energy high. The evening shows were all 1st class and all the bands were amazing: Tropical Night was a blast, Rock and Glam was epic, plus Cherry Love, Icons, 90’s Summer, Beats of Queen, and the incredible Celine Dion Track Two in the lobby bar — pure fun from start to finish! As a total foodie who lives for dancing, this place was tailor-made for us. We would've taken way more pics, but honestly, we were having too much fun just living in the moment — soaking it all up without the phone getting in the way! We're back home safely now, glowing with a perfect sunkissed tan and a heart full of new, unforgettable memories to cherish for years to come.     What you expect and what you get

    Secrets The Vine had outstanding service. There was always someone to assist you and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food however, was subpar. After dinner and drinks the first night at the steakhouse it was clear service is where they spend their money. Room Service was prompt and friendly, but again the food was not very good at all. The drinks were not good. I settled on just vodka and cranberry juice. My travel mates expressed the same thoughts. Two of my travel mates didn't have hot water for two of the days. Considering the very high rate we paid, I would not recommend this resort due to the awful food and drinks. And of course knowing my friends didn't have hot water for two days.

    ⭐️⭐️ Very disappointing stay – not the Hyatt standard

    I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was extremely disappointing and far below the standards I expect from Hyatt, especially given my experience staying at many Hyatt properties around the world. Reasons for the low rating: We were told late check-out would cost $100, which felt excessive and unreasonable. Our room had a leak, which should never happen at this level of hotel. The bathroom layout offers no privacy at all – two sinks directly opposite each other, with the toilet and shower exposed, making it very uncomfortable to change or get ready with another person in the room. When we asked for a room with privacy, we were told only a suite was available at an extortionate price, which felt more like upselling than customer care. The rooms are uncomfortably cold, with little flexibility to adjust. There is no buffet at dinner, which was disappointing for a resort-style hotel. Our room cards didn’t work for the infinity pool, causing unnecessary inconvenience. There were very limited vegetarian options, and some breakfast restaurant staff were rude and unwelcoming. Housekeeping was poor – our room was not cleaned until late afternoon, and we had to call and request it, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Overall, the service has not been good at all, especially not for a Hyatt hotel. The positives: The birthday decorations and cake on arrival were a thoughtful touch. The spa facilities and massage were excellent. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, these positives don’t make up for the overall experience. This is by far the worst Hyatt hotel I have stayed in, and I would not recommend it unless major improvements are made.

    "I'll be back!"

    This is the fifth or sixth time we visited Secrets the Vine and will likely return next January. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport, meaning you have more time to spend enjoying yourself than driving. As for the hotel, the rooms, service, food, and pools are first rate. We took three yoga classes, experienced two wine tastings, and for the first time visited the spa. All were terrific. Your stay can be as relaxing as you wish. Enjoy!

    Beautiful Hotel!

    Beautiful Hotel with amazing views. We have no complaints, everything was excellent! This was our 4th time to a Secrets resort in Mexico, we have always been pleased with them. Food is excellent, service is excellent.
