One of my favorite destination resorts
I really enjoy this Secrets resort in Puerto Los Cabos. If you enjoy golfing then staying at this resort and playing Puerto Los Cabos golf course that is next door is an amazing experience. Over the top service from the staff and great food and drinks while in Cabo.

An A+ Holiday Stay
One of the most enjoyable holidays we’ve ever had. All aspects of this resort are exceptional. The staff are welcoming, tirelessly accommodating and efficient. All the specialty restaurants provide first-class cuisine; the buffets offerings are extensive and provide something for everyone’s needs. One of our party has a severe peanut allergy and food services were extremely attentive to make sure this person had no exposure to peanuts. Our couple’s massage in the resort spa was sooo wonderful- a beautiful tranquil setting and very skilled staff. Non-stop and daily activities are provided for those who want to do more than swim in the beautiful pools, admire the beach views and have continual beverage and food service from the friendly and accommodating pool staff. We can highly recommend this resort. And we will return!

Disappointing Experience at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos: Not Worth the Price
My husband and I, along with another couple, recently stayed at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort with high expectations due to its 5-star rating, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet those expectations, especially given the price point. We spent $5900, through Costco, for two people for a 7 night stay. While the property itself is beautifully designed, the experience didn’t align with the premium price tag. The room, though spacious, felt outdated. The cleanliness of the room, however, was excellent. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the space tidy and well-maintained throughout our stay. Service, which we usually look forward to in high-end hotels, left much to be desired. One major issue was the dining experience. Every night of our stay, we faced a 30-45 minute wait for a table for four. Once seated, the wait for food was consistently long—sometimes up to 45-70 minutes, except for the Portofino restaurant, where the service was more efficient. We also attempted to make reservations for the hibachi grill for three days in a row. This involved going to the Rendezvous bar between 3:30 and 4pm to wait in line for 30-40 minutes, hoping to be faster than others to secure a spot, as the reservations were first come, first served. We were unable to secure a reservation during our stay in our three attempts and decided it wasn’t worth it. At other hotels you make the reservations when you check in and you are done. Unfortunately, the food itself was nothing to rave about. El Patio and Oceana were a particular disappointment, with tough meats, dried out fish and a tuna tartare that didn’t even look like tuna! Even the consistency of food at the restaurants was inconsistent. Two of us would order the same item for lunch, a simple chicken wrap, but the actual dish would be different when it arrived. The menu items listed all the ingredients in the dishes, which led to more surprises because the dishes were missing the ingredients. We even resorted to room service twice, it was faster 35 minutes or less, but we couldn’t eat the food—it was tough, with none of the meats being up to par on the sandwiches. Himatsu sushi was decent, but the tuna special didn’t look seared, and the texture was very dry. Pool service was another major issue. Two out of the six days, we went sight seeing one day, we couldn’t find loungers, so we started “saving” them at 6am. The pool service was hit or miss—we’d order simple drinks like a Sprite or mineral water, and they’d often be forgotten. We’re not heavy drinkers, so we’d order just a couple of drinks throughout the day, unlike other guests who were ordering rounds. We also ordered chicken nachos once, and never received them, so we didn’t bother trying to order food again. We would tip $2 each time for one or two drinks, and the wait times were absurd. We often ended up going to the bar ourselves to get drinks faster, but the server was noticeably upset by that. The same issue occurred at the Rendezvous bar. The bartenders were great, but the wait staff was lacking. We’d sit down, and no one would come to take our drink order. After 15 minutes, we’d get the drinks ourselves, only for the waitress to ask why we didn’t order with her. Well, we waited 15 minutes, and no one came. FYI, we didn’t have the Preferred Club status this time around. In the past, we have stayed at Secrets and Dreams resorts and enjoyed the benefits of the Preferred Club, but due to the overall package price we decided not to choose the preferred club, after this experience, it will likely be our last stay at this specific brand. The line they advertise as part of the “Unlimited Luxury” package was definitely exaggerated and didn’t meet our expectations. While the location of the hotel is ideal, the service issues, combined with inconsistent food quality, really affected the overall experience. For the steep rates, we expected much more. Overall, Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort didn’t provide the 5-star experience we were hoping for, and we would hesitate to recommend it unless they significantly improve their service, food quality, and attention to detail.

No more Secret about this place ❤️
This is our second time in Cabo for a long weekend. We choose this adults only resort for the location. Nevertheless we got more than that. The room has our own back pool with a great view, room service 24 hours. The staff is 10/10. Everybody is so nice!!!! We went to Oceanica restaurant, chef Jocelyne and Anali set us a romantic dinner for us, they serve us a special menu and treat us so nice. They also have a Hibachi restaurant you have to make a reservation before 4:00 pm since the space is limited. We were very lucky to got a space. Check Many and Ricky made a top show for our table. I wish I remember all the people that made our stay great. Because everybody did! I cannot recommend enough this beautiful place. The bars, the views, the food, gym very clean and complete, spa, pickle ball court, and more!!!! We will come back for sure

Very very nice resort
We really enjoyed this resort. Very well maintained property and easy to get around. Upgraded room made it even better. A very big shout out to the people who impressed us with their friendliness and professionalism. Sr. Juan Gutierrez was so helpful with all the many questions we had even before we arrived. Our communications were so easy with him. I was fortunate to be able to shake his hand and meet him. Seriously a nice man. Also an employee named Isael was such a big help when we had a question. He is also such a personable person and spend as much time as I needed with any questions. It was a pleasure to see him the several times we did around the main lobby And I shouldn't forget to mention Maricela, who cleaned our room daily and provided all the other odds and ends that supplies the room. She always did such a nice job. I guess my only complaint was there was some hit and miss with the food at some of the restaurants. A few dishes were disappointing. But that would not keep us from returning
