Jan 23, 2026Great resort to relax and get away for a few days
This resort was beautiful, quaint, and comfortable. It's fairly far from the nightlife, but that's a plug in our book. The views of the mountains and the ocean provided a very unique experience. The service was overall very good and the accommodations at Secrets Resorts are always exceptional. The food was very good for an all-inclusive and the nighttime entertainment is top notch. The rooms were slightly dated, but they are clean and the room service is added bonus. The 24/7 cafe is great for morning coffee and late night desserts. The pools and hot tub were great to have and never felt overly crowded. Overall, this was a great spot for my wife and I to vacation with friends and we would definitely recommend others to stay here if you are looking to stay near Cabo San Lucas or Cabo San Jose. We have always felt that Secrets resorts are a step above other all-inclusive resorts.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Stole our Hearts
We booked this location to celebrate my wife's 40th Birthday and we could not have been more impressed and happy with it. I have been to Mexico many times, Cabo a few, and many all-inclusive type properties. This location exceeded all of our hopes and is one of the best I have ever been too. We really had minimal, if any, complaints or concerns. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous, the staff very friendly and all smiles, and the food is the best I've had as a whole at any All-Inclusive resort. The only thing to be aware of, is that if you are the quieter type, there is a "preferred" club pool that is much quieter than the main large one, although it honeslty was calm in comparison to those on the East coast, but there was no explanation or no way to understand how to access or use the preffered pool. Regardless of that, this property is one that will forever raise the bar of all-inclusive vacations for us and the sights and sounds will carry happy memories for us always.

Great Customer Service
We loved our pool side waiter, Solomon! He was very attentive, quick with service, and always made sure we were taken care of. We also loved Axel with the pool and beach volleyball experience!

First of Secrets resorts are just fine! Most are luxurious and well maintained! Seems all Mexican resorts are well maintained but not all luxurious. Here a couple things I want to mention for potential travelers that I learned from our experience. One concern was the limited bartenders at the main pool! Seemed like there was usually only one bartender and he was swamped with orders! This pool seems to be a main attraction and it seemed very understand staffed! My theory is that being it is an all- inclusive and therefore drinks are included then why would Secrets employ adequate staff to serve its guests! Guests have paid in advance and there is no urgency or concern on serving the guests efficiently! I am not blaming the bartender as he was always working extremely hard non- stop! Per guy! I was told that it helps to tip them $20 or more when ordering your first round! I understand the premise but I shouldn’t have to tip to get waited on for alcohol I paid for in advance! I am a very great tipper and tip based on the service I received not to receive great service! A footnote on the alcohol. The drinks were average at best! It seems they were so rushed that the quality of the drink suffered. After we left the resort and went to Hilton La Pacifica the auality of the drinks, food, and service increased greatly because it was a non- inclusive resort! Our second concern is the Unlimited Vacations department that entices you to attend a presentation to buy into their program. I highly recommend you do your research before accepting and attending! Just like with all Vacation companies and Timeshare companies there is immense misleading and deception! Hopefully you have a law background or you bring your attorney with if you attend! We wish we had and also consider recording the presentation seriously! We declined their initial offer and then were presented with a revised package. We were informed that we would be given a premier vacation for a week at ANY Secrets location along with other benefits most of which are limited or basically useless! The bottom line is that when we got back to The States we researched and registered for our vacation package. Once we registered and spoke to a Unlimited Vacations representative we were told that their use a ratio system of resorts we could stay at. Meaning certain resorts count as a one night stay 1:1. Certain resorts count as two night stay 2:1 and some even count as three night stays 3:1. So for example we were given a 7 night premier week. If we stayed at a Secrets resorts for a night it counted as two night etc. Therefore the number of nights is greatly reduced. Yes they do offer Dreams and other Hyatt resorts where you get one night and are charged for one night not two or three. Hopefully they makes sense. It didn’t to us on til we contacted Unlimited Vacations to book our free premier week. We tried to cancel our membership after 7 business days but were declined because it was past 5 business days. We are going to make the best of the situation. So please be cautious is attending a presentation and considering purchasing please! Don’t make the same mistake we did and research after you purchase! Hopefully Charlie and the other Unlimited Vacations representatives get a chance to read this! Umlimited Vacations is on Secrets property and you’d hope that they are honest and sincere in selling any guests a membership! I apologize for the lengthy review but feel obligated to inform other travelers! Sincerely
