Loved this place, such a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy or rushed. We were expecting the spread out nature of the property and loved the walking opportunity that gave us. It was possible to spend all day outside and only doing AC when getting back to the room, which was perfect for the weather we had there. Wonderful variety of food with a great selection of local food as well. We loved that most things weren't overly sweetened like in Mexico or the US. Even staying for a week didn't run us out of food options and we still didn't get to have dinner at the Aqua restaurant by the spa. We alternated between the activity pool and the relaxed pool and enjoyed walking the black sand beach between them. The entertainment folks were great fun and the staff were extremely nice and great to talk to. So many conversations and meeting people opportunities at the pool bar! You can come here and relax and keep to yourselves or can also go and meet others, however this isn't a party place, so no foam parties in the pool. Definitely going back again.

This was a beautiful location. The property was huge and requires shuttle service to various things I.e. restaurants, spa, gym, etc. The beach is less desired but the pools were great. The staff are friendly and will meet your needs if asked. Food was good for an all inclusive and drinks had no consistency. I would go back and recommend for a first time traveler. I was not a fan of the dress codes for men and it could stand to be loosened up a bit.

The entire resort was just OK. We travel frequently and this resort did not meet my high expectations. The room was just ok, the balconies cannot be used when it’s raining, (which is most of the time) room service was a complete joke, the spa was just mediocre, the shows were sub par, the food was just OK, if you are someone who has a hard time with walking, this is NOT the resort for you. It is in the side of the mountain and everything is a hike. Luckily we like to walk and are very active people. But for some it may not be feasible. The prices of the incidentals in the gift shop were out of control. $50 for sunscreen and flip flops. Also at one point they told us no cash. Well while out at the resort that was all we had on us to tip workers. All of our cards were in the room and we needed some allergy meds before we went back to our room for the night. It also says it’s open 24 hrs and there were times that it was not open. We had several instances where we waited for a shuttle over 45 minutes because it was pouring rain and could not walk down the hill safely. The staff was all soooo amazing and accommodating. So they get an A plus. We did have 2 times where we called items that we needed in the room (hangers and slippers and then again when we needed tray pick up) they just opened the door to the room without hesitation, no knock, no waiting for us to answer. I was livid. They also should have staff reminding guests of spa and gym etiquette. The spa could have been over the top, but it was far from that. I went 3 different times over my 7 day stay, broken showers, Luke warm hot tub, robes that are falling apart and sandals in one giant men’s XL. I’m a tiny woman so I could not use any of them without falling and tripping and not able to wrap a robe around you because it’s 10 sizes too big is not ok. Sometimes weddings and parties cause areas of the resort to close down. This is also annoying when you really like one restaurant and can’t go because there’s a wedding. They should tell you that up front so you can plan for it. We were also told we got a free bottle of something when we checked in and never got it. The “coupons” are a joke and not really useable. The spa specials were more of a savings that the coupon use. The add on paid dinner was not worth $180 a person. The wine was crap, the steak was shoeleather and the lobster was dry as can be. Oh I should add if you want your joke of a coupon book you have to listen to their vacation package. The champagne room service breakfast I tried to order for one of our last 3 days I was told I didn’t give enough notice. Wow, 4 days notice wasn’t enough?! We did meet great people and made the best of our trip, but it was not worth the 6k we paid to stay 7 days.

Honeymoon
Our honeymoon! The staff is so friendly, the pool guys are great, the waiters! The drinks are delicious, the food in the restaurants is very good. The entertainment is very good at night and very entertaining with this guy Esteban very very fun , during the day there are activities that need to be booked

My birthday
My birthday was great! With my friends. The food, drinks and staff were amazing. Esteban from entertainment made my birthday very special. At night we have a lot of fun with him, he is the best MC, he is very funny, And there are many activities to do, you won't get bored.
