Don’t listen to the bad reviews, beautiful hotel
Fantastic time away at the secrets Moxche! Big shout out to Sergio (Perez) from the entertainment team, and Lois/Lous who when it rained, provided us with unlimited cocktails in the hot tubs. Food is amazing, resort is stunning. We will definitely be back :)

The WOW factor
Stayed at Secrets Moxche Jan 18th to 28th for my wife's 60th birthday in a Preferred Club junior king swim up apartment. This resort certainly has the WOW factor! On arrival a bell boy took our luggage and showed us to the preferred club reception. We were given a glass of cava and a bite to eat and checked in with no issues. The personal service from the bell boys and reception check in was excellent. Our room was superb, roomy and very clean. Mini bar with beers and soft drinks plus a bottle of cava. All the bathroom amenities you required were provided and a luxury shower. Some reviews have commented about the heavy doors. OK they're a bit heavy but not an inconvenience. The huge 'king' bed was comfy and the tv had mostly Spanish speaking or American channels but there's enough to entertain you if you want. The maid and nightly turn down service was brilliant. There's also a concierge on each floor who were a bit clueless at times, however the main reception concierge was excellent. Being preferred club guests we had access to the roof garden observatory. The service, food and amenities there were excellent. A concierge was there to get you a lounger or cabana, put out your towels and a waitress service for the bar. The infiniti pool at the rooftop garden was shallow and fun with a great view. We tried all the restaurants onsite. In the evenings the main restaurants did fill up early and on several nights we had a 20 to 45 minute wait and on our last night there was over an hours wait for a table! However there were no issues with the food. The Japanese (Suki) and French (Bisou) restaurants were especially good. The Dark Horse sports bar is also good. Only issue was the Italian restaurant with the mains arriving the same time as the starters. Seasoul buffet restaurant is also great. If you go to the lagoon or activities pool you may have a few issues getting a lounger as the best spots are taken quickly. The beach loungers and cabanas also fill up quickly but if you find the beach concierge guy they can usually find you a lounger and a spot. Thanks to David (beach concierge) who was marvellous in finding us loungers and somewhere shady. Also the activities team will keep you entertained. Some reviewers have said you have to tip all the staff all the time. What a load of rubbish, you can leave a tip if you want but we had no issues with the service and only left the odd tip if we felt it was deserved. The evening shows in the theatre last about 45 minutes and the entertainers are good, The Quirky and Elements shows are both great. We did the Amstar excursion (visa their reps in reception) to Chechen Itsa, a typical mexican village lunch and Cenote swim which was good, but be prepared for an early start at 6:30am. It was a little pricey at £350 for 2 adults but well worth it as the 2 guides looked after all of us and provided breakfast, snacks and drinks along the way. Would definitely return to Mexico and Sexcrets @ Moxche.

Definitely not worth the money!
Booked the preferred club junior suite, sea view.. expecting to have a fab view 😳 upon entering the room the smell of damp was terrible, we had a long flight and after 17 hrs of travelling we just wanted sleep! Next morning we complained as it was not acceptable the smell and wanted a different room! Basically told sorry we are full.. after 4 th night finally had enough and complained again! Finally got a different room but being preferred club visitor really poor attention from staff. Be prepared as well to wait for 2 hrs if you want to get to one of the restaurants, that you can’t book in advance.. also be prepared to tip big at swim up bar or you won’t get served.. seem to only want to serve you even tho it’s all inclusive resort if your a big tipper! Really disappointed in this hotel.

Awesome resort
We had a great time. The entertainment team is awesome. We were taken care of by Monica, Jessica and Aranza! The food was top notch, the area is clean and the pools were off the charts. We didn't want to go home! Miguel was also great by speaking Spanish with my wife so she could practice.
