    Secrets Akumal not exciting

    Hotel was beautiful and the food was amazing and the staff was welcoming and helpful! The pool police was annoying They have pool rules you can’t leave your belongings on the lounge chairs up to 40 minutes unattended.they will take your belongings to lost and found . And replace the towels with new ones and another couple or person in that spot ! I usually never had any issues in all my travels in the secrets resorts ! But this one takes the cake ! I arrived the next day I got up early to get some longe chairs by the pool . And I got stopped by pool police and stated hello are you seating there on those chairs I said yes ! He was like oh you can’t just leave your seats like that unattended we have Rules !! I acknowledged him I see the rules and I didn’t answer him ! I stated are we 5 years old up be scolded ? I just sent to get something at the cafe I was furious.and I let the staff at the cafe that the gentleman was scolding me ? They were shocked and they said don’t worry about people hold seats all the time ! Btw it was bday that day ! I was angry all day ! And I was supposed to have conceige and he didn’t attend to me much ! My room should I’d been decorated fir my bday and a cake He gave an excuse he has medical issue with another guest and was busy all day . He wasn’t very informative and didn’t assist in making my stay extra special. That’s fine I don’t need pampering like that .but not cool when you don’t come thru . That’s the only bad experience I had on the resort . The evening shows were on 30 minutes long . It’s not lively like the other secrets hotels .

    10/10 Resort

    Absolutely beautiful resort. Great food, great drinks, nightlife options and easy access to several local excursions. The water there is crystal blue and the white sands were soft. The resort events were varied and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend, I will be returning.

    It was not what I expected. It was much better!

    I won't bore you with a step by step review of this place because the other reviewers nailed it on the head. Secrets Akumal is by far and away the best all-inclusive resort I have ever been to. Our trip was the first trip in a very long time that I didn't feel like going home at the end. I can't say the service was above and beyond good because that would be deluding it. Every worker made you feel like you were the only person there. Everything that I requested was done without question or delay. When I needed a band-aid, they came with 5. When I needed to boost my electrolytes, they came with Power Aid. It is insane how good everybody is. The food was good. It's not the best I've had, but it's still very good. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be back here again

    Beautiful Akumal Bay!

    This is the most relaxing resort we have been to in all of Mexico! The wait staff is so good. We had Karla at the beach tending to our every need. Fernando and Nadia were excellent waiters at Oceana. The snorkeling and kayaking was super fun and enjoyed meeting Maximillian and Alexandro who explained all about the turtle preserve rules! Our concierge Metz was a Rockstar, who help with planning trips and reservations. I plan on returning here soon

    Amazing & Faultless.

    Perfection from the moment of arrival to departure. Never have we stayed in a hotel with amazing genuine kind hearted staff. We were made to feel so spoilt whilst staying with you. Everything and Everyone faultless!!! Leidy our concierge was absolutely brilliant at her job.She went above and beyond!!! Alejandro on the beach excellent in every way. Seaside Grill run by Jamie & his team was first class. Alexa always a lovely welcome . Alberto went out of his way to make us feel so special enjoyed our Mayan coffees. Valentino perfect service also Jos'e too. Thank you to Daniel Josur At Himitsu we had such amazing meals & service from you & staff Also America. Loved the swimming,snorkling wildlife that was around. A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. YOU MAKE THIS HOTEL WHAT IT IS.
