    Amazing stay with fantastic staff

We just spent an amazing week at Sandos Finisterra and had a fantastic time! The pools were a highlight of our stay, made even better by the incredible entertainment staff, Yuki and Enrique. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone was having a great time, bringing so much energy and fun to the experience. A shoutout to Marlen, the barista, who makes the best coffees. Her warm and friendly attitude made every morning a little brighter. The Kids Club staff were outstanding, professional and engaging that our kids wanted to spend time there every single day. It was a nice to know they were in such good hands. While we loved our stay, there are a couple of areas where the hotel could improve. At the Whale Watchers Club, the railings are quite low, and with such a steep drop on the other side, it felt a bit unsafe. Additionally, some of the stones around the pool area are worn and could use replacing to prevent any potential injuries. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Sandos Finisterra. With a few safety updates, it would be even better!

    Excellent Trip

Georgina and Yazmin in the Italian restaurant/breakfast restaurant provided excellent service every time we visited. We had never put our kids (5 & 8) in a kids club before. We tried it here and they make loved it! It was hard to get them to not go! Nadia and Yuki were so great with the kids and made some time for us to visit with the friends we were vacationing with and visit the spa. The staff here makes it such a nice experience and we loved coming as a family!!

First and last time to Cabo

This trip was our first time to Cabo. We have been to other parts of Mexico numerous times. The Hotel and property it self is massive and beautiful. That’s the best part. On check-in we were given our armbands and passed off to what we thought was an employee to show us to our room. Wrong! It was someone trying to convince us to come to a sort of time share presentation to get discounted rates for excursions! We declined and were left to our own devices to find our accommodations. As I said, the resort is massive. We wandered aimlessly until we found an employee to ask directions and were told to take the elevator up to the seventh floor. Confusing as our room was in the 8000 series, but whatever, we went. On arrival on this floor we were greeted by a bridge across a canyon to another set of buildings with accommodations and restaurants but little to no signage as to where we should be going. We are older adults but in good physical condition , but access to our accommodations was trying, at best. Many sets of cobblestone and uneven stairs up and down and around corners with no handrails anywhere! It was a challenge. Had to shimmy past a hot tub to get to our door. The employee who eventually arrived with our bags even commented on the difficulty in navigating to this room. The room had many shortcomings, including having the light switch for the interior lights outside, so we requested a change and were given a more suitable room the next day. As for restaurants, there are four and a cafe. The two restaurants down by the beach were both excellent so we mostly ate there. The Italian restaurant was abysmal. We tried it twice and never went back again. Pasta sauces tasted like cheap canned versions. Tried their Mexican restaurant Don Diego once and were very disappointed. Food was tasteless and barely warm. Service was exceptionally slow. This restaurant was turned into the breakfast buffet for the mornings and was a typical all-inclusive breakfast spread. Later in the week the Mexican was discontinued and it became an International buffet. Decent food and again a typical spread for an all- inclusive. Beware if you prefer decaf coffee. None of the restaurants have it! You can have a nice dinner but can’t get a decaf coffee to go with your dessert! The bright spot for food and coffee was the Cupcake Cafe. Open from 7:00 AM til 10:00 PM and it serves decaf anything. Great lattes, cappuccinos and many other drinks. A great selection of pastries and pre-made sandwiches. The pool and beach areas are very nice and well maintained. Our visit was a good break from winter, but we won’t be back.
